This location was great, but what I had a problem with was reservations. I called and reserved a 20' truck at Manassas Park. The lady on the phone assured me that one was available. Then I received a text telling me I had to pick it up in Culpeper, an hour away from where I needed. I called back to customer service and they told me one wasn't available and that I needed to wait until the morning and call Scheduling. Next morning I called scheduling and they said I asked to pick up a truck Culpeper. Why would I drive an hour away to get a truck and have to pay for all of the extra miles. They then transferred me to Customer Service, who then said that they showed that there were trucks was available at Manassas Park, but that they had a hold on them and I needed to call them directly. I started calling them at 8am, and for the next two hours and it went directly into a recorded message that I was told means that the local uhaul place wasn't picking up. How can a local place not pick up a phone for 2 hrs on a Saturday morning. I understand they are busy, but they usually have 3-4 people working, how can no one pick up.

For the online experience, you might want to WARN future customers with your security measures!! If a person doesn’t have to verified friends (available at time of pick up) they might want to have a passport handy . If they don’t have either of these requirements then a truck that was preordered will not be available. I was surprised and disappointed with the verification system compared to what I was led to believe I had already sent. And for this reason I would NOT recommend U-haul online ever again!

Online I was able to reserve a larger truck at a specific location but 24 hours before the moving date, all that changed with a phone call. Maybe don't advertise stuff online if there is a chance it won't be available.

People were rude and one man asked if I wanted a paper receipt and a woman said bonshe opted for the email receipt so that is how you will get it. They were not friendly at all.

Communication regarding change of pickup location needs improvement. It also needs to be more clear that the reservation isn't really a reservation, but a request to hold a vehicle for use.

Had a horrible time trying to get the vehicle. Got there before they closed they locked the doors as I walked up . Spent 1.5 hours with customer service trying to get access to the lock box to get the key. Had to have someone from the company come help get the key. Cab smelled like cigarettes and was NOT clean! I requested to have the vehicle for a few more hours due to a cut on my finger resulting in stitches. The price per mile was not correct charged me full price and double to the vehicle and that as well was incorrect. I had to drive 30 Kins out of my way to get the vehicle because the location I reserved mine from didn’t have the vehicle do to an accident. Which increased my mileage and usage of the vehicle. I’m very very very very unhappy and WANT to speak to someone about this! I expect a call! 360-518-7400

Location and personnel were great . I was not happy in least to find out the trailer I reserved in April was not available in Charlottesville . Not only did it delay our move a day, I had to drive 50 miles in the opposite direction to secure the trailer. I will NEVER use or recommend UHAUL again. I was also told I would receive a phone call concerning this for some compensation & corrective measures. NO ONE EVER REACHED OUT TO ME. Shame on you. Never Again.

The increase in prices by U-Haul over last year looks to me like price gouging by a company that realizes it can get away with it because it has a virtual monopoly in its business.

Make sure the uhaul rental office that you send people to actually has the correct size truck they requested.

They said I needed a 2 inch ball and did not sell them, I had to go to another store to buy 1 and they also said they did not have any wrench to change it, so I had to buy a 1 1/2in wrench to put ball on my hitch. Cost me extra 35.00 dollars and 45 minutes longer to pick up trailer. No wrenches and they are a tow company.

They charged me for fuel while I did refill the truck when I was finished. But, they issued me a refund when I pointed it out (the mistake). That’s why I gave them one star.

There is only one person at this location to answer the phone, help customers at the counter and get the equipment. We were at the location significantly longer than at others because there were other customers. On the positive side, the lady was very nice.

The folks at Rusty's are very customer oriented. They had the trailer I needed for the work I needed to do. The trailer was in excellent shape, clean, and well maintained. I'll be back the next time I need a trailer.

My pick up location was changed and I wasn’t notified. I then went to the new pickup location and my online quote was DOUBLED. I stood there for an hour while they tried to figure it out. My U-Haul reeked of cigarettes. I chose a U-Haul that I was quoted roughy 120 for. I chose a couple of add on items and was ready to pay around 200. I was quoted 521 when I got there. No one called to tell me my price was changed. They were nice and ended up being able to get me my original quote, but I’m disappointed in U-Haul’s lack of customer support.

I was charged a rate of 82.00 and then the 15.00 safedrive plus a 5.00 service charge. For a total of 102.00 plus tax came to $112.20 but after it was returned the location changed my rental to 29.95 and charged me more per mile and charged my card an additional $6.21. I called to get fixed and got no help!!! Will not use UHaul again ever. I realize $6.31 isn’t a lot but it is the principal!!!!

The website works really well for reserving your uhaul in advance. The checkout process is quick and efficient and it seems they always have what I need. I was a little sad that they charged me an extra fee for gas when I returned the first uhaul at the appropriate level. But overall great experience! I’ve used them twice recently and I appreciate the customer service.

You can Improve for your next customer by talking to this location about honesty, and fraud. I will never use or recommend U haul again due to my poor experience at the Rustys Towing Services LLC 15384 Brandy Rd Culpeper, VA 22701 location. I rented a 10' truck at 0858 on Friday February 8th. I picked up and returned the truck with 7/8 fuel, drove a total of 14 miles. I returned the truck to the same location at 1103 am. I went inside to return the keys/sign in truck. I was told there was nothing to sign and to leave the truck out front. This didn't seem right so I walked back inside, asked again, and was told the same thing. Taking advantage of customers is wrong, and bad business. I recieved my receipt today via email. I was fraudulently charged $21 00 for ez fuel service (truck was returned with 7/8 fuel same as when picked up) also the receipt says 1300 for truck drop off time. This is wrong as I returned the truck at 1103. I have time stamped pictures and credible professional witnesses to verify this account. I want to make it clear that The only reason I am leaving this review is because I received a email from uhaul requesting one. I dont expect to get my money back, and was not going to pursue it. In the future I will use penske. This review is Based on my experience at the Rustys Towing Services LLC u haul location on February 8 2019. You have lost a customer for life.

The heat in the truck didn’t work at all with it being 30 degrees out. The light in the back of the bed didn’t work so I had to unload all my furniture in the dark. I got charged for 50 miles and didn’t even go 50 miles. Worst uhaul ever !!

The equipment was clean, and well maintained, except the wire harness was frayed. On my trip I discovered my right turn signal was not working. I have used Rusty's before and they have always been great. So I guess this was just a bad day.
