Took me an hour to get the truck after I arrived. I was unfamiliar with the rental process through the U-Haul app and the cashier in the gas station could not offer much help. After speaking with her several times telling her I was having issues, someone named Garrett finally showed up to help me after trying to figure it out on my own. Nobody was there willing to help me for the first 45 minutes. Cell Phone service was in and out and the overall customer service was substandard.

Couldn’t keep them on the phone was a self service area the girl knew nothing about it I couldn’t even choose the right drop off location was just a hassle

I dropped off equipment on a thursday. They did not do the required work to let the place know where I had rented the equipment from that I had returned the equipment. I was charged 1700$, and I was reported to the Henrico police as having stolen the equipment. The following tuesday when I found all of this out, the manager at the buckingham location was blatantly unhelpful, and extremely non chalant about solving the problem. I still havnt had my money returned to my account. I will never rent from uhaul again, simply because of the store in buckingham. This was a huge inconvenience for me, and could have been even worse, all because the buckingham shop didnt feel the need to check in my equipment after I returned it.

Better internet service - service was spotty and we waited 1 hour to get the pick up information (which truck, etc) - lock box was in a terrible location and we would have to be at the location so GPS can show we are there then we had to ride down the road to get the pictures to upload and it would never take the back of my license (not location fault) the person I talked to there to confirm my pick up was great No direct phone number listed on google

Did not get proper information about rental, drove more miles to get to my house to move the the actual truck usage. 16 miles to move versus 36 miles getting truck to and from. I see this as not reasonable at all and have cost $218 to do it. Bad experience all around

This uhaul location is the absolute worst. Employees are some of the rudest and dishonest I have experienced in a very long time. Rudely told me that they would not check my rental truck in. Lied to me by saying only one employee working as the other employee was currently leaving and would not take 2 minutes to check my rental and confirm that it was returned with no issues a day earlier than required. Outright refused to give me a receipt. Now here's the most dishonest thing I've ever seen. 7 hours later I get an email receipt saying I'm being charged an additional 20 dollars for dropping my rental off after Hours when the location was closed. Really???? I demand that this location be investigated for dishonest practices and/ or the dishonest employees reprimanded. We'll see how well that goes over as I would not have a location such as this representing me if I was Uhaul!!!!

Upon arrival, it took at least 10 minutes for someone to come down from the upstairs living quarters. We were the only ones there. Once checked in, we did get help hooking up the 6x12 trailer, but once hooked up, I noticed that one tire had a bald spot, bad, all the way down to the steel belts! Got different trailer hooked up, and everything fine from there. Upon return the next day, my wife got very short responses to her questions, and no one even came out to check us in or even help me unhook the trailer. The pick-up was certainly better than the return, even though there should not have been a trailer listed for rent that had a very dangerous tire on it. This location obviously needs some more education on proper customer service. On an overall 1-10, I would give it a 3 or 4. And very likely not to recommend. Thank you

There was no one to check truck. I put 10 gal in to bring it to what the guage looked like when I got the truck. The gas price for what I put in was $4.39 per gallon. They would not sign off on truck when I was there saying that was usual. Two days later I received a charge to my credit card of $24 for 4 gallons. That was at a rate of $6 per gallon

The owner was running a gas/grocery store as well as a UHaul pick up. He was able to manage everything quite well. He took the time to explain how to hook up the car dolly also.

The online check in process was terrible. This was a more remote pick up site and I got kicked off the stystem at least 3x. We had to wait until the UHaul portion of the store opened in order to get our vehicle. The truck was very dirty both in the front and the back. Alot of inconvenience on the front end.

My over all experience to acquire my trailer was the most ridiculous thing I had ever gone through...!!!!!! 4 locations and 4 hours later, and right at 100 miles on my vehicle I finally got the trailer. Not to mention the third location didn't exist, but customer service said over the phone, there were 2 trailers at that location. Way too many issues to write for review.... The 5th customer service (phone)girl was helpful and the drop off workers were awesome. NEVER AGAIN will I rent from uhaul

You didn't have my truck ready after the first pickup change. You didn't have my tow dolly at the second pickup location. The substitute trailer wasn't hooked up to the truck. I had to drive back 45 minutes in the direction I just came from to get an alternate truck. Someone could have called me on my cell to tell me but they did not. This set me back 2 hours and I had to pay 2 people for that time. The quality of service from U-Haul is terrible.

Twice I have returned a UHaul trailer to this location. Neither time would anyone come out to inspect the trailer or give me a receipt. Both times the trailer was returned the day before it was due. The second time, over a month after the trailer had been returned, UHaul attempted to charge my credit card for an extra day and extra insurance. I disputed the charges the first time, and a UHaul representative emailed me that the issue was resolved. Five days later, the second attempt at charging my credit was made. I am not paying extra charges because of employee laziness. BEWARE!!!

This location was a bit out of the way from our original drop off which was full. I’ve rented uhaul frequently ( this is our 5th in 4 years) and have never dropped off at a gas station. I must say I really like this idea as I don’t always remember to fill up before returning. The check in process is so much better now that the renter isn’t responsible for all the photo submissions!

Asshole didn’t help even after I specifically asked for some kind of block because the ground was so soggy. Just sat there. Also didn’t check me in because he said he couldn’t leave the store as he was the only one.

Make sure that Uhaul gets the correct date of when you set up the rental. They made me go over 45 minutes fron my house to get a 20 foot truck that was out of alignment, not cleaned from thr last person to drive it, and they made pay full price when they said they would adjust it. (Took over 45 minutes with customer service to get my money back)

We use this location frequently for drop-offs. While I have no issues with this facility, I will say I am disappointed overall with this Uhaul experience. I never rec'd confirmation for my rental by 6pm on 7/31, and spent nearly 1hr on the line with Uhaul and 3 representatives to confirm my res. made over a week in advance, and find an alternative p/u location from my request. We dropped off the vehicle the same day 8/1 (earlier than the 24hr reservation) but the vehicle was never checked back in by the facility. I was contacted yesterday 8/3 with a return reminder, and explained the veh was dropped off on 8/1. I rec'd an invoice for addtl. $120 (was not charged) for 3 days of over use. Was able to call and resolve the matter with a rep., but this entire rental process was very disappointing all in all. We use Uhaul frequently, and have yet to have a completely seamless experience, but this one was very frustrating.

Have someone available to complete the return process, had to get issued a refund for the extra day we were charged for. Returned the truck a day early. Easy fix and getting the truck went smoothly.

Explain the fine details of the contract and train the people who do the leasing. I was able to closer on my house in Roanoke so I needed to change the drop off location. I had to end up paying an extra 240.00, and the truck wasn't scheduled for pick up so it wouldn't hurt anyone. Customer service was on the 800 number was very rude and did not care about my situation in the least. Will not use uhaul every again and will advise anyone who inquires not to use. Totally unprofessional, cold, rude customer service agent.

Used Uhaul six times and this was the absolute worst. After making a reservation a month in advance to pick up two miles up the road, I get a call the day before telling me I had to go 40 miles out to pick up the truck. Upon arrival, the furniture dolly and appliance dolly were not there. This put me four hours behind and along with the help I had which was planned an month out. Uhaul will now be my absolute last option when I move again. They Suck!

It was the best customer service that I had it a very long time. It only took a few minutes to do the paper work. He didn't have a 15 ft at first for me only a 26 ft. He went to Richmond the night before I picked up one for me. Great service to be in the country.
