This is a comment about U-Haul's national policies, not this location. As often happens, moving all of my furniture into and out of the U-Haul took a little longer than I reasonably anticipated. I ended up returning the rental several hours later the day I was scheduled to return it. I was then charged for an entire extra day of renting the truck and insurance. That this happened less than three days after U-Haul's regional office called me to cancel my original reservation, which forced me to scramble to find a replacement truck at this location, was especially galling. As I understand it, if U-Haul's plans are forced to change, that is my problem. But if my plans are forced to change, that is somehow also my problem. Anything to squeeze another nickel and dime out, I guess.JAMES L.

It took three calls to this location across two days to get someone to mark the trailer as 'returned' in the uhaul system after being told in person during dropoff that it was taken care of. Other than that they were pleasant and helpful.David B.
Honestly the biggest problem here is UHaul itself, rather than this location. The people at this location have always been nice - but the system itself is a mess. Initially my reservation was lost - or not entered in the first place - despite a couple calls confirming the reservation, which meant hours on the phone with UHaul. Then Uhaul's regional traffic wanted me to pick up and drop off the trailer an hour away from my original location, which would have added about 4 hours of driving in the wrong direction onto my rental (round trip both ways) and gas money. Then I got a call from this location - at the last saying they did actually have trailerâ€¦ which ended up working out ok, but I spent hours on the phone with UHaul and went through a lot of stressâ€¦ If you rent from UHaul, plan for things to go wrong! I rent trailers regularly. I would say around 25% of the time there are significant issues like this.matt N.
Had to return the van to same location, despite making a reservation to return at another location. Van was given to us with a completely empty tank, and we were told to bring it back with more fuel for a slight refund (that didn't cover the cost of the extra fuel we were told to drop the van off with). Van desperately needed tires, alignment, and general servicing... It was absolutely terrifying to drive, and definitely would not pass inspection in the state it's in.Aaron S.

Truck had inadequate worn tires for Vermont. I drove the truck initially home six miles. We were unable to move it at the house on flat ground. All other cars could get in and out. Sanded no help. Had to be towed. never used it but still charged full price.Jeremy F.

Was charged for a "wrong destination fee" out of thin air. Called and said I'll get a refund, still waiting on it. I was told this has been happening often with Uhaul, ie people have been being charged twice. The 15' vehicle smelled of cigarette smoke. I know the vehicle has signs that say "no-smoking", but fines should be enforced when people that rent these vehicles smoke in them. Highly undesirable for someone that has "smoke allergies". Other than that, perfect!Bob D.

After <100 miles, the "change oil soon" indicator came on. The van also smelled of manure or maybe a dead animal? But otherwise in good shape for a U-Haul that is used to move things around. The staff at the facility were nice and accommodated me leaving my car onsite. The reason for having to leave my car onsite was because I reserved the van for a location much closer to my house, but U-Haul changed the reservation to a location 20+ miles away. Your online system should NOT have shown the vehicle available at the location closer to me if I couldn't pick it up there. Your after hours drop off tool is cumbersome and took me a long, frustrating time to complete. The "change oil soon" alert thwarted my effort to take a picture of mileage for your online drop off tool; it was dark and picture taking was difficult; and, I started the process before I completely unloaded the van into my car on the lot and because you wanted pictures of the inside of the car, I had had to restart the process after unpacking. Due to COVID, the van needs to be sanitized by the facility to ensure safety of the next customer, plus, the picture does NOT tell you how the van smelled.Shanie B.

1) I was not told that the Littleton drop off location was closed, even when I said Littleton. The truck had 135,000 miles on it, the check engine light was on, the passenger door would not shut all the way and at times it would not go into reverse. It should be retired. Also, the truck did not have a license plate on it.David A.
