Truck was different size than I ordered, I didn’t get blankets which I reserved, on the truck was three lights on the dashboard including check engine, and amount of fuel was less than on the contract. But I was able to move myself which is better than nothing.

Equipment was clean, but rear pull down door was very difficult to close the last two feet. I weigh 230 lbs and I had to really lean on it to close it. I think a UHaul center would have fixed that before sending it out, but a small neighborhood gas station doesn’t have that ability.

To improve the experience of the next customer, I would not advise ANYONE to use Uhaul at Exxon Mobile at North Shore in Reston, Virginia. The truck that was left for me to rent was not in good condition. After some confusion about returning the truck, I called the 800 number. And while on the phone I told the representative about the problems I had while driving that truck. The representative guided me on what to do to return the truck.  He was more helpful than the regional manager. Due to the experience that I had with the regional manager, I would not advise any customer to seek the assistance of the Regional Manager for that location. The regional manager did not have the decency to return my call. Instead he charged me double. This was AFTER I sent him a video of the same raggedy Uhaul truck, that I had driven, being driven by another renter. Upon pulling up beside that driver he said that he too was having a bad experience with the truck.  First of all, the lights for the dashboard were pushed inside the console. Second, the light on the outside of the truck was dangling by wires. Most importantly, the brakes were bad. And to my astonishment, I was told that I left the truck dirty. The truck WAS NOT dirty. At first, I had been given two different explanations by two different representatives as to why I had another charge tacked onto my bill. I had only driven twelve miles. For decades I have rented a Uhaul truck or Uhaul van. Never again will I rent or recommend Uhaul to a friend nor foe. Because of this incident I will advise my union affiliates, who were considering this location for parts transfer, not to use this location and to be leary of other locations.

My issue with drop off was that I was forced to do online check-in instead of being able to hand over the keys. I didn’t select online checkout or check-in as an option, so this part of the process was unexpected and required more time than I had planned. The employee was friendly, but wasn’t very helpful as she still made the call customer service (for the second time that day) to update my drop off location. I was very unimpressed with my entire uhaul experience.

The location should try to clean up their rentals.Hygeine especially at this time we have a viral crisis dictates that we do thorough cleaning.

Put at least a half tank of gas in the vehicle. My van had 1/8 of a tank and the gas warning light illuminated within 15 minutes of driving. That is an unnecessary worry and inconvenience when renting a vehicle.

Upon getting the Uhaul the contract I signed was for $70 and some change. I don’t know why I am being charged $110. I told the clerk I might use more than 50 miles and he said as long as I do not go over 100 miles it is fine. I would like someone to contact me and I would like a refund. This is unacceptable. I would have chosen somewhere else or at least prepared for the charges if told about correctly.

The whole check in process, customer service representatives and poor communication between Uhaul and the rental center made our move immensely more stressful than it needed to be. We will never be using this service again. Pricing is fair for market value, but this was such a headache I would never recommend to anyone. The customer service reps could not answer basic questions nor could comprehend why we called. I suggest hiring folks who can actually support customers.

Dropped truck off after hours so no personnel to help (this is fine and acceptable). I was charged $25 for service cleaning. I did a clean sweep of the truck and folded all of the furniture pads as instructed and was still charged this $25. No explanation, no call, nothing, just a charge to my card.

Mobile app is terrible. Very time consuming and multiple silly steps. Tried to use completely mobile solution but had to go inside to complete rental.

Cheated the CUSTOMER . The owner charged gasoline charges $ 11.00 . Whereas i put one gallon in the tank what I used... 10 miles +.79 miles which is $7.90 . I took the picture when i pulled out the Van from parking and i have the proof that gasoline was 7/8 of tank But no one listened. It was said to me do not argue . Call UHaul and complain I will never recommend this location . This is not a tolerable behaviour towards the customer. Thanks Naeem 703 864 9889

The gentleman who handled my reservation called my emergency contact “just to check to make sure I have a real number”. He said it is a requirement to do it randomly. I think it is inappropriate and should be stopped.

The gentleman (Bobby Kapoor) at the location was completely rude and trying to act funny - he needs to know his place. Terrible customer service, took forever to give the keys. I would never recommend anyone to go the that uhaul location ever again.

There was a lack of communication when returning the truck. I was told to park the truck but given no direction of where. The one male associate was very rude and lectured me instead of assisting and communicating in a professional manner. The female associate who originally was helping me return the truck started to assist another customer which led to some confusion.

Initial pickup was fine. People were helpful. I returned early and without incident but I left one item in the truck. Instead of calling me (I live a few miles away and had rented the truck for my son) they immediately threw the item in the trash and charged me a 50% penalty. Will go out of my way to share this poor service as much as possible. All my prior U-Haul experiences had been positive. This simple issue was the poorest customer service I have experienced in many years.

Good having the drop off point at a gas station but the parking was lacking and gas was more than 0.10 a gallon vs down the street

The owner was absolutely awful. We are new to the area and we’re confused where to park the truck. He walked up to us in a threatening manner and told us to just park it and leave. We told him we were just trying to figure out where to park and he told us we had to leave. He also stated that he is not the one to mess with. He threatened my mother and got in her face. This is completely unacceptable behavior. I felt physically threatened and almost called the police for safety.

Broken windshield needs fast replacement. Gas gauge was incorrectly read. Overall, very nice transaction.

My truck was pretty dirty, high mileage, and several defects(armrest broken, seat would not go fully back and 12 v outlet broken. The engine light was on about half the time which made me nervous the truck would break down and strand me. The girl working there was courteous and professional.

So you rent trucks that’ have 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and F displayed. Yet, there is a 7/8 on the sheet. I took a picture before I drove off, it showed a tick after 3/4. When returning after going 16 miles, I put 2.5 gallons in at and got it back to a tick after 3/4. Yet they charged me for 4.1 gallons of gas. I will be sending an email up the chain as this is a straight up rip off.

I was a given a truck much larger than I requested. I told them I needed a van but I was still given a box car and there were plenty of vans available. I believe they just wanted to get more money from me per mile, which is quite frustrating because we are a small non-profit.

There wasn’t any parking spots left when i came to drop it off. The woman working there helped but it was stressful. UHaul has ashes and a lighter in it. Smelled like cigarettes.

I picked up my truck through the Uhaul app on Jan 1st. The physical location was closed. I requested a dolly handtruck to assist my move and even called ahead of time to ensure the dolly was going to be in the truck. Well guess what wasn't in the truck? There was no dolly and since the physical location was closed, I had no recourse. As a result my move doubled in time and energy. This was an incredibly bad experience and I will no longer be renting with Uhaul.

The vehicle had two piece of card board in the back when I picked it up so I left there when I dropped it off and was charged a $25 cleaning fee for something that wasn't mine. I have had better experience at every other uhaul location never had I come across something like this. But learned my lesson not to go to this location again. Not just because of that but because they tried to also charge me a over night fee thank God that was returned to me since when I returned it there was someone there that said since I could close my contract just to leave the key and there would be no extra charge for it.bit this has been worst place I have been in a while uhaul should really work on this place to bring it up to standard with the others.

Mileage out was mentioned wrong in the bill. Nobody told me to check the mileage before picking up the Cargo van but when i returned the van then they added extra 10 miles. when i reported the issue they told me that "why did you not check before taking it "?. As a customer we trust buisness to enter correct information. As a customer i feel cheated so i definitely would not recommend. Its their responsibility to mention correct mileages in the bill when going out and when its returned.

This haul dealer is very good. This was my first time using the app and I thought it could have been better. I had to wait over 20 minutes for my ID to get approved. Location staff was not able to help because I used the app. Next time I will reserve with the staff at the location. Taking pics of the dents in the truck was time consuming. Same with return.

The staff at this location was rude and aggressive. I returned my truck with the level of gas specified on my contract. The staff was combative and rude and lied saying I needed to fill the truck up or they’d charge me u til I showed them the copy stating the truck did not have to be full. They were also very unhelpful and combative. I would not recommend this location. These people need to be trained in how to be polite. This is perhaps the rudest place I have ever done business with and I work in customer service.

Very small location with a few truck options. I was given a truck with 90 000 miles on the odometer, which concerned me given that I had to drive 1100 miles. I asked for a newer truck and was told that this was the truck assigned to me. I was so worried all the way that something mechanical was going to go wrong with the truck and that I would be stuck somewhere over Thanksgiving weekend.

Very disappointed in the customer service, this was a short term rental. I need to extend my contract, took over 1 hour on the phone to finally extend the contract until the follow morning. Even with the extension the entire rental was less than 24 hours. Was told by customer service that I had until 1:30 pm next day to return the vehicle with NO Additional Charge, when I returned the vehicle at 12:10 pm, less than the full time, I was charged a second day!! Buyer beware, even though I received text message extending my contract I was charged a second day upon returning the vehicle!

I was charged a $100 late fee even though i returned the truck early. This is unacceptable and the issue has not been resolved. Also, the mobile app kept crashing. Terrible experience. Only good thing was the people there were helpful getting me a truck after the app kept crashing. I expect my refund asap or this issue will be escalated.

Had to return the vehicle after hours. There was an attendant in the convenient store who I asked where was the best place to leave the truck. He said park it anywhere. Apparently where I parked it was over tanks for the gas station. I had a problem with the online check-in so I left the truck to return in the morning to drop off the key and go thru the check-in process. Where I had parked prevented a morning fuel delivery. Of course the owner got upset with me saying I shouldn't have parked there. I replied I was not told where to park the truck. I was told anywhere. He was very rude and unprofessional.

I was charged a $25 cleaning fee for 10 or so leaves in the back of the truck. I am calling my credit card company to dispute the charge. they sent me a picture which I can supply but this is bad business, bad customer service and bad faith.

This location makes a habit of not telling their paying customers they must park off site. After a day of moving, I came back to find my car gone. When I asked the attendant if I had been towed, he said gave sarcastic responses. I looked at Google reviews and noticed many other customers have had similar experiences with this location. I hope things will turn around because otherwise the truck was clean and well maintained. But I will never again rent a truck from this location.
