I checked in online so I just had to grab the keys and go, but the lady wasn't able to do so. She asked for all the information again. The guy that works there was rude to not only us but other customers. A customer walked in and asked which line he had to be in to buy cigarettes, the guy working there told him his line, once he got to the front he said and which cancers sticks would you like to poison yourself with. When we were leaving he tried to tell us that next time we should check in online to save time. And then continued to talk down to us. I told him I did because we had a time crunch, then he say well I didn't know that. He also yelled at another person that was having an oil change done. The lady that worked there wasn't rude just incompetent. I will definitely NEVER go back to this location againJoshua S.

Dude at the counter (acted like the owner of the establishment) was very angry and confusing, and the PoS was broken. This, plus the horrible and confusing Uhaul computer system, made the whole interaction quite baffling.Ethan C.

My rental had ants all over the dash. Also my tire was @ 5psi had the stop to put air into the tire 2 times. Costing me $3.00. The shifter was bumping gears. Was almost late for my pick up. Because of all of these delaysALEXANDERSERGEI G.
My first issue was with the contact free option. It did not work. Your app was unable to determine my location even though locations services were enabled on my phone. I wasted time placing a contact free reservation ahead of time. I doubt that contact free options even existed at this location because the attendant handed me my key at the end of my registration. If the appointment was truly contactless, wouldn't the key have been in a lock box with a combination code? The second issue I had was the vehicle I was assigned had a bald tire/metal exposed and tire gouged in two areas. I discovered this during the checkout inspection. I brought it to the attention of the owner/operator who acknowledged the tire issue was a pre-existing condition. One, why is this vehicle in service? Two, why do I have to bring this issue to light?DEANH H T.
The light saying the back passanger side door was open was on the entire time I had vehicle, even tho door was shut, this caused the back storage area light to stay on all the time except, after driving a a few minutes it would turn off for drive, but then as soon as you out vehicle in park the light came back on and there was no way to get it turned off. Stayed on while parked. Luckily I only had teuck for a few hours, but if I had to park overnight it would have killed the battery and been a major issue. Plus it was uncomfortable leaving it at the drop off with the light stuck on. The staff didn't mention anything about the issue to me before I left, they should have warned me , seemed like they got it off when they jumped it that morning and then avoided telling me the door sensor would be an issue so I wasn't driving around worried about it. Plus I stopped to check the door mutiple times and spent a long period of time trying to get it off that was time wasted. The door was always fully closed and locking properly when I checked on it.Teran S.
When I picked up the truck, it had some trash debris in the cargo area and I didn't think anything of it so I didn't note it on the pre inspection. When I returned the truck a few hours later, I also had left some carpet fibers, not much at all and I was charged $35 for cleaning when the car wasn't even given to me completely clean. Make sure you vacuum and dust the truck before you return it. At this location there is no customer parking, be prepared to walk across the street or park along the street, if you can find parking in those areas.Sandra V.

Only one comment. When we picked it up the tank was at 7/8 full. When I filled it upon return, it's impossible to figure out when the tank is 7/8 full, so I just filled it. When I asked about that I was told I get no credit on my bill for returning it with more gas than there was when I picked it up. Seems to me that every truck should be at full or I should get a credit for returning it with more gas.Helen Q.
My bill for 3 days of a rental van was over $200. At $19.95/day and $.69/mile with 104 miles, I am at a loss for the excess charges. Very disappointed and won't do it again.David H.
This is a great U-Haul location with a good selection of trucks. I have spoken to Linda on more than one occasion and have returned to this location specifically because of her. She has gone out of her way for me on more than one occasion and is friendly and knowledgeable about UHaul rentals, and is also not afraid to get involved to help ensure I always have a positive rental experience. They charged me for cleaning when the truck had glass when I picked it up. It didn't think it will be a big deal until they put the cleaning charge on my bill. Nothing of mine broke during the move. I filled up the tank and took a picture of the mileage. If did all that why I wouldn't clean glass because I didn't want to be charged extra. They are very dishonest people. But they were very nice and friendly when I picked up the truck. I trusted them and only checked the mileage and the gas before driving off. To anyone using uhaul in the future, don't trust what they are saying to you, Check everything, even the littlest thing can come back and hurt you.OMEYAKANADINE M.

Wash the windshield and the windows. Simplify pick up. I waited 35 minutes. Drop off was much easier. Stop advertising $19. it is misleading! No one minds paying more for a large vehicle. But the surprise and hidden costs are unprofessional.ELLIER L.

First of all, the guy who worked at the station where I picked up the truck was very disrespectful toward my mother. â€œThe problem with women is that they never listenâ€ was what he said. Needless to say my mother and I were very offended by this sexist comment. Secondly, I made a reservation for a one way, 15 foot truck. I was told that this was unavailable, and was only allowed to use a 10 foot truck which had to be returned to the same station. This ended up costing me about $20 more than it would have if I had been able to drop off my truck at the Uhaul right down the street from where I was moving to instead of having to drive back 18 miles to where I picked it up from (which included an additional $9 in tolls). Granted, I had made two separate reservations, bc I didn't notice that this was an option until I had already made the first one, but he had absolutely no interest in hearing what I had to say about it, even though there were about 7 one way, 15 foot trucks clearly sitting on the lot, and the one way reservation I had made had my picture on it (drivers license). It would not have been difficult to remedy the situation. I would probably use Uhaul again but I will never bring business to this location again. If I acted the way this man acted while I was at work I would not get paid. It is not difficult at all to treat a friendly paying customer with respect. Would give one star, but the truck functioned well and was clean, except for a cardboard sign that must have been left by the last customer. And I was able to get my toll pass back (with some difficulty and insults) after I accidentally left it in the truck.MONICAANN S.

If people use the mobile check in process you can let them know in advance they will need someone to answer the phone and verify that it's them or bring a passport or lease. Most people do not carry a passport or lease with them.Alexandria B.
I would recommend a full service U-Haul. The customer service was new snd not aware of all the SOP but was as helpful as she could. Finally the truck I was given was not safe to drive. The transmission had issues getting up to the level for it to shift properly. That truck should have never been rented out. Plus that location did not have a single piece of moving equipment. I had to call the 800 number to find a location that had moving equipment. Next time I will certainly go to a full service U-Haul.JOYCE P.

Moving is stressful enough and this facility made it more miserable. The equipment wouldn't turn on without multiple tries. I was held up due to Internet cable setup and I went in 1.5 hours late still within my 6 hours. Whatever happened to my reservation, my Checkout was greyed out. The store manager was least helpful. Suggested to call 1800gouhaul. Which as expected kept looping. For some reason, the store manager had a change of heart and did something that let me checkout. I would NEVER suggest or use Uhaul. Would rather go with Home Depot and Budget. Mark my words, I would not let my friends go through this misery again.SUDHEENDRAROYAR M.

Several negatives: 1. When I asked to add a second driver to the reservation, as indicated on the U-Haul website, the proprietor said if I wanted somebody else to drive the vehicle that was a risk I was going to have to take because he would not upload them in the system (despite them being physically present with a valid driver's license and 26 years old). 2. The vehicle would not start, the proprietor would not help. Once I was able to get the vehicle started on my own after several more attempts I left. 3. Upon return of the vehicle at the reserved time the website to check the vehicle in did not work. I called U-haul, was on hold for 30 minutes, when somebody did answer they said they did not know how to help me but would transfer me to somebody who would, I was on hold for awhile longer before surrendering my efforts and hanging up. U-haul then charged me for a late fee for "not checking in", which was of course impossible with your system, and charging me for a "cleaning fee" because the 6 furniture pads were not folded in the back of the truck (I did not receive them folded). >> I have rented from U-haul multiple times in the past including a cross country move, with good results and customer service, this experience was far from my expectations. There were two positive highlights: 1. U-haul refunded the erroneous "late" fee and absurd "cleaning" fee. 2. the vehicle started after the unload in DC which I was concerned about after checking out.Peter D.

First when I got there; although I had reservation but their system was down; then I tried via APP & for some minutes it was giving me an error too many redirects! then after half an hour on my exhausting & hectic moving day I finally got the Truck number via APP. BUT By the time I returned the Truck around 5 pm or so no matter how many times I shared the location and took pictures of Gas Tank and Odometer the App would still take me back to the first step! Website / App was having issue again! Overall this made it a very unpleasant experience on my moving day...Shahin E.
I found out when picking up the truck that I could not leave my car at their location. No on site parking. Fortunately there was a space available within some limited on street parking, but I was shocked to find out thar UHaul expected me to not leave a car at the pickup/drop off location. And that no notice was given until after I arrived there, got the keys to the truck and was told I could leave my car.Eric B.

Confusing COVID experience. Signs everywhere about wearing a mask, yet the owner / employees were not wearing masks. Awful equipment checkout experience. Machines were slow and the card reader didn't work. Great location, but the lot is poorly maintained.JON W.
While Bobby who eventually helped us extricate the truck from the parking lot was great, the truck was wedged between two other trucks no more than 18 inches from each of them (I have pictures). You cannot offer 24 hour pickup and expect people to pick up trucks parked that way! Your corporate line took forever to get a hold of and would only add an hour to the contract for my inconvenience being delayed just over an hour and a half getting out of your center and waiting on hold.Sean H.

The whole experience was frustrating from making the reservation to dropping off the vehicle. People were unprofessional and unreasonable and tried to charge for items that they put in the truck and said they shouldn't have, etc.. The gas tank wasn't even full, it was on 3/4 of a tank. When I returned the uhaul I was charged another $30 for gas when in fact I put the needle back to where it was. Unacceptable.Peter Y.
