This is a drug infested, bottom dweller shell of a hotel. The staff were subpar at best. I WOULD not want my wife, parents, or children to be anywhere near this place. U-Haul needs to conduct a surprise site visit and then promptly discontinue their business with this establishment!

I read some of the reviews on there website and was stunned because even though it is an older motel the people are friendly the place was clean and the overall experience was great! they have a uhaul,greyhound and motel plus a city bus out there so they are busy at times but are fast so I will always do my uhaul business and will review them on my experience nothing else! great job ladies!!!

Service area is a dive motel counter. It is not inviting, and is actually a bit offputting. I’ve rented twice from this location and both times there have been less than desirable people hanging around the motel lobby or the parking lot. The truck was not clean... it reeked of smoke and had a pack of cigarettes and a lighter left in it. There was soda, or something sticky spilled in the console and candy wrappers on the floor. The back of the truck had not been swept and had what appeared to be topsoil or dirt in it as well as muddy feet prints. I pointed out the trucks cleanliness shortcomings before I left the location and I was not expected to clean it upon returning it. The staff were nice and very professional and knowledgeable, but the location is a bit rundown and not at all inviting.

No comment, It took two trips when one should have been sufficient. The first trip there was a problem with a dc adaptor that was discovered after the contract was completed and tow dolly already hooked up and moved around front. The first lady cancelled the rental even though it only took 10 minutes to rectify the wiring issue stating that it was 10 minutes too late even though the problem was 100% resolved. I had to wait until 8am the next day to rent from a different much nicer and more reasonable lady but that made me 3 hours late for an appointment whereas if I had been allowed to rent the evening before I would have been on time. So even though the actual rental went well with the second agent the overall experience was far less than acceptable.

I had the truck for 24 hours, I was just under 3/4 of a tank of gas which was were it was at when I rented it. I went to Lowes purchased a gas can and purchased 2 and 1/2 gallons of gasoline to put into the truck. When I got back to the location, the truck was gone. This was an honest mistake and of all of my transactions with U-Haul, this one was the worst. I was also missing a blanket and told her I would return it today. I see from the receipt that she has already closed out the truck return, charged me $6.00 for the missing blanket and $22.00 for fuel. There is no way that the truck was 5 and 1/2 gallons short on fuel (based on that the clerk told me that to add fuel was $4.00 per gallon). The gauge was just below the 3/4 line when I returned it. Not in the middle of the 5/8 mark and 3/4 line where the clerk indicated it was.

Easy location for drop off with plenty of roomy parking. We dropped the truck off when the office was closed and used the key dropoff box. Easy and quick.

From beginning to end my UHaul rental experience has been disappointing. Upon initially calling UHaul to rent a truck and auto carrier I was informed there was a truck and carrier available at a location three miles from my location which we agreed upon to be satisfactory. Yet moments later the UHaul confirmation email I received was for an entirely different location 53 miles away. All of my attempts to rectify this mistake with customer service were met with "I'm sorry. Is there anything we can do for you." Ultimately I had to pay $100 for a taxi to pick up the truck and trailer. Now I receive the UHaul receipt that details additional charges for driving "1800 additional miles"?! Are you kidding? We traveled from Madisonville KY to Chattanooga TN. That's 243 miles one way! I have initiated an investigation into the additional charges, but this is really ridiculous that this company can't get anything right other than the running vehicle and it's trailer operating correctly! Never again!

The folks / staff working at Red Cardinal Inn were super and accommodating. However the Inn itself has a bad reputation in the local community as a place with a lot of drug activity.

the uhaul i rented was in a wreck and ended up taking more time then paid for. i call and paid agin to get 4 more hrs. everything was fine but when boyfriend turned in uhaul later the lady at desk forced him to sign a paper, made my father leave ( he was boyfriends ride home), and she charged my boyfriend again saying no one informed her i call and took care of it. people over the phone were great but desk lady at red cardnel inn was rude and unprofecnal.

Make sure trucks are not leaking or out of working order! However I was extremely pleased with the willingness of the area surpervisor to correct the situation and offer a discount!
