This was a small neighborhood convenance store location. The operator knew nothing of the equipment! Did not make sure the 5x12 two Axel trailer was properly secured to the customers vehicle and did not assist in helping attach the trailer to the customers vehicle to make sure it was safe! When returning the equipment did not â€œwithout askingâ€ check the equipment to see it was returned undamaged â€œhad to ask for a quick checkâ€ didn't want a claim later for damage ! And did not assist in unhooking it from vehicle !Richard R.

Originally I went to the Raymore, Missouri location to rent a 20 ft. moving van for $39.00. The attendant said she had none there so she reserved one for me at the U-Haul location on Red Bridge in Kansas City, to be picked up at 3:15 pm on Saturday, September 25th. I went to the Red Bridge location on the 25th to pick it up but there were no 20 ft trucks available. There was a 15ft truck on site so I said that would be fine and that I wanted to use it until September 28th. The attendant told me that I could only use it until the 27th. So I agreed to that as there were no other places I could go to rent one. I used the truck as agreed until the morning of the 27th knowing I would need the additional day of the 28th to complete my moving task. I called the Red Bridge U-Haul location on the morning of the 27th to request an additional day. The attendant said â€œno problem m, I'll take care of it. I brought the truck back on the morning of the 28th and was given a bill totaling $585.25. I paid it. I went home and with all the calculations I could make using the information on the receipt, I figured the total should have been $439.84. That is a difference of $145.41. I am requesting to be re-embursed $145.41 due to being over charged by your company.David F.

Not only is the location poorly staffed to handle the store and the rental business at the same time, causing significant delays/ But the trailer was also missing its pigtail to connect signals to the tow vehicle and the store charged me for extra services that I did not request. There are things to be said about this not being a uhaul location butâ€¦ while the whole pick up process could have been better the person helping me was friendly no complaints about the truck I rented . And I was charged correctly for the time I used itLauren F.
You should send customers that are reserving a truck online a proper rundown of what to expect come time to pickup the vehicle. I was not prepared for my 40 minute wait time just to get verified to drive the truck, and because the website/app was malfunctioning and making me sign in multiple times. You should get the verifications before it's time for the customer to pick up, otherwise it's a purely frustrating experience. Also, have more choices on how to verify, because not everyone has a utility bill in their name, or a passport. Why do I need to take a picture of myself and my driver's license, and provide you with my employers info, just to have to get verified a fourth time through some other means? I rented a $19.95 truck they charged me total $ 70.00 dollars r more this location double my charged me an I would like a refund on some of my money. This was a mess from start to finish. We had to push back our pick up time from 8 to 10:30 due to scheduling issues with our driver, that worked out fine. However, when we got there and got checked in and everything, turns out our truck had already been rented out that morning to a different family? So they switched it to the other 10 ft rental available. Since it had been switched, that truck didn't have the appliance or furniture dolly I had reserved. I called the uhaul line and told them the situation and she said she noted in the file to be reimbursed for them upon return. Turned it in this morning and just got the bill where I was still charged for one of the dolly's we never had and the other was reimbursed. The guy at the counter was nice but boy howdy, I've never had such issues with uhaul before.Caniece R.

When picking up the cargo trailer you have to hook it up yourself had I been alone as a woman this is not okay. The gentleman at the store was very nice, but he left the dolly and blankets in the store had to bring out an load myself as well as attaching the trailer to the SUV he only comes out to make sure you did it right and take a pictureMICHELLE H.

The worker put the burden on the client to relocate the truck and did not take responsibility of the blankets. Very rude worker. Instead of simply dropping off the truck the worker demanded that we back up the truck, we said no. Then the worker told us to bring in the blankets, again we said no. The left rear tire pressure was significantly lower than the other tires. (54 PSI vs 91 PSI). I tried to put more air into the tire, but I am inexperience and could not get it filled. There was no problem driving the truck. The location was a convenience store and was cramped. The clerk was polite and professional, but the location was poor.GARY M.

We booked a rental, that we arrived 3 days later to pick up, only to be told that they were out of the size we reserved. They upsold up to the next size up, thus doubling the amount we ended up paying. They had 3 days to get the truck we reserved OR should have upgraded to the next size for no charge! This location didn't provide any assistance to attach the trailer we rented. It was explained numerous times that we didn't know how to do it and then when we returned the rental they again did not want to provide any assistance to unhook the trailer for the return. We spent approximately an hour trying to place the trailer back into its proper spot and had to ask strangers walking on the street to help. Location opened late on pick up day which delayed pick up. Opened late again on drop off day. Waited 30 minutes and dropped trailer. I was over charged and charged an after hours fee for no reason. When calling customer service to complain about extra charges was told it may be three days before someone addresses my concern. Very unsatisfied.Aaron M.

NOT HAPPY. THIS GUY OVER CHARGED ME FOR THIS RENTAL. I RENTED A TRUCK $39, A DOLLY $10, $21 IN GAS UPON RETURN (26 MILES AND .79 P/MI). ADDING TAX THERE IS NO WAY MY TOTAL IS $99 AND CHANGE. HE ADDED ON INSURANCE WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. TO TOP IT OFF NO PHONE NUMBERS WORK. IT RINGS AND WHEN ANSWERED LINE DISCONNECTS. HOWEVER WHEN IN THE STORE THE GUY IS TALKING ON THE PHONE. ALSO THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CLEANED PRIOR TO ME RENTING. . SOMONE WAS SMOKING WEED IN THE TRUCK. I did reserve the rental on-line, where I understood that I could pick it up before the location opened. This was not the case at this location - there are no facilities for contactless pick-up. This was not the fault of the location, probably just a misunderstanding on the website. Red Bridge Market is a great UHaul locaiton, and made pick-up and drop off very easy.KARL J.

Everything was fine, but at the drop off location the worker forgot to make sure we gave the keys back.... and when we realized we still had them, we had to stop unpacking and take them back which was a slight delay but overall a very convenient and nice experience with U haul.Shawn B.

The locaation and the operator was fine on Red Bridge road ....... but the U Haul Co. leaves a lot to be desired. I had a reservation at 105th and Blue Ridge in K,C for 10:am at 10;30 they were still not open. I weent to 93rd and Blue Ridge at 10:40 they were not open. It's obvious U Haul is not really serious about renting trucks. We will look elsewhere next time.BOBBIE S.

The trailer was at this location but I had to inspect and hook-up this unit on my own, which is something I have never had happen when working with a U-Haul. While the liquor store owner was friendly, the lack of service was disappointing. If this would have been my first rental, I would have had no idea how to hook-up and ensure the trailer was safe to drive!Owen K.

I rented from this gas station/liquor store. I picked the truck up on a quarter of a tank of gas. I left it on a little over a half of tank and the clerk said there was nothing he could do about that, unlike when I have in the past dealt with u haul on several occasions and what was due was returned. My experience was fine, overall, but it would be nice if the person renting the uhaul was more hands-on when it comes to hooking up the trailer, etc. He just pointed out where the trailer was parked and we went out and hooked everything up ourselves.
