The truck was covered in dried, broken lasagna noodles that I had to sweep and clean up myself. Sounds like a joke but it's not.
DELANEY GThe Uhaul smelled so strong of smoke and sweat we had to ride with the windows down. The location was not a clean environment, I myself being pregnant will not use this location again.
JAELEIGH BOur truck was not safe to drive. A brake seal broke halfway through the drive, started smoking, and had we not stopped would have caught fire-with the drivers and every belonging I have (26' truck) inside. This is a truck they rented to me-parked with the front half up over a curb and in the grass. CHECK YOUR EQUIPMENT! The hour-long process to actually get the truck? Geez. Glad I scheduled the movers for 2 hours later! The extra equipment I rented-blankets, furniture dollies, were put on the floor inside the back of the market for me-so I had to carry those and navigate through the maze to the ONE open door (out of 4, safety hazard!) through the liquor section. The lack of help, lack of functioning equipment, lack of customer service and professionalism here…. Improvement for the next customer? Don't rent uhauls from here. Only solution.

Douglas BThe pick up location, Red Bridge Market, told me that I couldn't pick up my truck at my preferred location. My preferred location was Blue Sky Storage. My stuff had been stored there and the person in charge, Ted. , had been so helpful and friendly that I wanted to rent the truck from him. Turns out he had driven quite a few miles to trade a larger truck for my truck. I had never rented a truck before and didn't know what to expect. So when someone from Uhaul, Red Bridge Market, called me and told me that I couldn't pick the truck up at me preferred location, I believed him. I'm not happy about this.

The truck had like 3 dozen blankets left in it that where just left from the previous rental. While the guy did try and be helpful calling u-haul to see if they could track down items for me I never received a call back from u-hual to let me know that they had found one for me.

Ray RIt was filthy with Doritos in cab - all over and used needle on floorboards. The inside of box was dirty and had to be cleaned out! Parking lot had used needles and manager could not leave his liquor store. Worse experience ever!

phillip f$1 per mile extra is ridiculous, I was never prompted to enter the expected mileage and my $150 quote turned into nearly $300 by the end of the day. I'll never use uhaul again. 10 foot truck doesn't have a ramp and you have to read the fine print to see that. Just overall poor experience.
Michael ANot sure about this location. Did not realize from the contract that this was a drop box location. Could not see a sign or other vehicles as there were no cars in the lot. Called the number and a guy told me to leave the truck and trailer in the lot and keys in the drop box. Could have been an actual service center inside one of the stores, I did not go in.
Natasha KThe initial reservation had us picking up from location in Olathe, did not reflect change to location pick up until we started the pickup process. 2nd location was a liquor store that did not open till 10 a.m. The key was not in the box the app said so we had to wait at location 45 minutes till owner showed up to get key out of other box. The truck had no gas and would not start once we had key. We cancelled reservation after this because we had already waited 2 1/2 hours and gone to two locations to get truck to not have it ready to go because tank was empty. Roadside assistance said it could take up to another hour to get someone out to fill tank enough to get it started.

Cori WThis place is very unprofessional. This is the second time I rented from them the first time I was cheated out of $100. They take cash without giving you a receipt and then charge your card. I would not recommend and I would like someone to call me about my experience to tell you more.
LEE SThe vehicle wasn't clean and it was really loud like you riding in a jet plane. I was worried the whole time we were going to get stopped. There was a slight language barrier which made things a little difficult, otherwise it got the job done.
DENISE MZero help getting the trailer hooked up to the trailer it was dirty on the inside covered in dry and mushy dog food. Mud and dirt tracked through.

Jorge JMy husband and I are in our seventies and were returning an auto transport. When we arrived someone in a car asked why we were there and told us to go inside and we would be helped. He left. However the person inside did not know how to disconnect the auto transport and suggested we pull up a YouTube video and he would try to help us. Luckily my husband was able to get it disconnected. Also, when told we needed to park it next to the other trailers, my husband had to reconnect the auto transport but after numerous tries he could not get it parked in the area where they wanted it parked after an hour of trying. This was a convenience store. The guy inside helped us in between customers but he was only helpful when my husband did not have the strength to turn the unlocking lever on the auto transport. It was a very bad experience after driving 8 hours. The guy also told us we could return it to another location but when we called another location they told us that there would be a hefty wrong location fee. This was the location I chose because it stayed open till 10:00 p.m. and we needed to remove the auto transport in order to unload the truck. The guy inside agreed to accept us parking the auto transport in front of the other trailers as he saw we had really tried.

Ned SI didn't appreciate being nickel and dimed by the store clerk when I returned the truck. I was told specifically that I needed to bring the truck back between half and 3/4 full which I made sure to do. But when I returned it, the clerk told me I didn't put enough fuel in and would charged and additional $7. After arguing the point to no avail, I paid them and then called Uhaul to complain and get my money back. Very poor customer service given that the different store clerks tell customers different things. Why not just have people bring it back filled up? That would be easier.
Andrew WThe location did not hook up The trailer, instead told us to do it ourselves. Then proceeded to take a picture but didn't really check the connections. The trailer became unseated from the hitch and disconnected from our truck on the highway. We are so lucky that we are safe, and truck undamaged. We will not be using Uhaul again.
Alyssa GThis was a small neighborhood convenance store location. The operator knew nothing of the equipment! Did not make sure the 5x12 two Axel trailer was properly secured to the customers vehicle and did not assist in helping attach the trailer to the customers vehicle to make sure it was safe! When returning the equipment did not "without asking" check the equipment to see it was returned undamaged "had to ask for a quick check" didn't want a claim later for damage ! And did not assist in unhooking it from vehicle !

James SOriginally I went to the Raymore, Missouri location to rent a 20 ft. moving van for $39.00. The attendant said she had none there so she reserved one for me at the U-Haul location on Red Bridge in Kansas City, to be picked up at 3:15 pm on Saturday, September 25th. I went to the Red Bridge location on the 25th to pick it up but there were no 20 ft trucks available. There was a 15ft truck on site so I said that would be fine and that I wanted to use it until September 28th. The attendant told me that I could only use it until the 27th. So I agreed to that as there were no other places I could go to rent one. I used the truck as agreed until the morning of the 27th knowing I would need the additional day of the 28th to complete my moving task. I called the Red Bridge U-Haul location on the morning of the 27th to request an additional day. The attendant said "no problem m, I'll take care of it. I brought the truck back on the morning of the 28th and was given a bill totaling $585.25. I paid it. I went home and with all the calculations I could make using the information on the receipt, I figured the total should have been $439.84. That is a difference of $145.41. I am requesting to be re-embursed $145.41 due to being over charged by your company.
David FNobody helped hook up trailer, just came out and took a picture. There was no extension for light hook up. We had to buy wiring to make it to tow vehicle. Got no paperwork.

RONALD RNot only is the location poorly staffed to handle the store and the rental business at the same time, causing significant delays/ But the trailer was also missing its pigtail to connect signals to the tow vehicle and the store charged me for extra services that I did not request. I will never return to this location.

EMPREZZ CNormally skeptical about service stations, the man was really friendly, got me in and out with no issues. I had reserved it online and it was ready to go at the time of reservation. No issues upon return.

Lauren FYou should send customers that are reserving a truck online a proper rundown of what to expect come time to pickup the vehicle. I was not prepared for my 40 minute wait time just to get verified to drive the truck, and because the website/app was malfunctioning and making me sign in multiple times. You should get the verifications before it's time for the customer to pick up, otherwise it's a purely frustrating experience. Also, have more choices on how to verify, because not everyone has a utility bill in their name, or a passport. Why do I need to take a picture of myself and my driver's license, and provide you with my employers info, just to have to get verified a fourth time through some other means? Completely unnecessary.

I rented a $19.95 truck they charged me total $ 70.00 dollars r more this location double my charged me an I would like a refund on some of my money. I will never go bck there again; I will tell everyone else not to go there..
Etta PThis was a mess from start to finish. We had to push back our pick up time from 8 to 10:30 due to scheduling issues with our driver, that worked out fine. However, when we got there and got checked in and everything, turns out our truck had already been rented out that morning to a different family? So they switched it to the other 10 ft rental available. Since it had been switched, that truck didn't have the appliance or furniture dolly I had reserved. I called the uhaul line and told them the situation and she said she noted in the file to be reimbursed for them upon return. Turned it in this morning and just got the bill where I was still charged for one of the dolly's we never had and the other was reimbursed. The guy at the counter was nice but boy howdy, I've never had such issues with uhaul before.
