My reservation was 8:00am. There was no key for me in the lock box. I had to wait until they opened at 9:00 to get the truck.Dane Y.
Charged me double the price for 1 day. Just left truck and then was charged 25 for cleaning when it was cleaning but the truck was swept out. Their word against mine and they made 25. Unreal to spend over $100 to move 5 miles. Not using this place ever again.KAREN B.

The gentleman who did my rental was excellent. So glad I was sent there, even though I requested to have a pick up closer to my loading location, In Carthage. He was courteous and helpful. Originally reserved the truck at 9 am at a different location. However, when I went to pick the truck up the facility had changed my reservation to hand delivery by noon. This obviously didn't work. So I quickly went in and reserved the truck here so I could somewhat stay in my time frame. The guy worked hard to help, but also made some errors. The mileage on the truck had been misentered and was under more than 40 thousand miles. The truck also had transmission issues and literally felt like it was going to burst out of the front of it when you drove above 60. Already being late due to earlier issue, and not having another truck in the size I needed, I was unable to ask for another. Overall he worked to correct the experience after the first facility. Still sucked overall due to truck issues and the fact I had to pay more out of pocket to get the truck in the first place. Had to wait on customer service for nearly two hours to speak go a representative just to try and rectify the situation.Rita J.

Guy was just rude, told him about the incorrect issues and the lady said they (drop off site) would fix it. He said she fucking lied, nothing he could do about it. Was rude about parking it on the street vs the lot where I did. Not a enjoyable experience with UHaul.Chris T.

I was told to return the trailer to the location I got it from. So I was surprised when another location called and said I didn't return it on time. The lady at the opposite location ended up figuring it all out but I was still charged with a late fee, even though I returned it on time & to the original location I got the trailer from.. waited till next day to not have to check in my self OR get charged $20 and I get there during hours it SHOULD be open there is a sign on the door says they will return at 4pm, had to ask stranger to assist me in getting tow dolly off and had to self check in WHICH I waited to avoid. I would appreciate $20 refund also noted another customer waiting to pick up by no one there at the appointed time. Sad to have uhaul associated with this companyKaren B.

Arrived at the location assigned for my pick up, which was StowAway storage in Joplin, MO. We arrived At 1015 hours and found the location closed. The hours of operation were clearly posted in the window as between 100 hours and 1800 hours. Phone number was also posted of which I called and received a recording. Left a message and waited to no avail. Called UHAUL and was on hold a good 20 to 30 minutes before an employee answered. We were assigned another dealer in Joplin for the pick up and they were professional and helpful. Two weeks before this experience with UHAUL we moved and I had rented a 17 foot truck from Penske. The experience was flawless. My guess is that anyone reading this would very quickly determine where my next rental need will take place.CHARLES F.

the truck i was hauling was too long for trailer.the back tires on the truck was hanging 4 inchs off the back.when i call uhaul i told them what kind of truck i was going to haul but the messed up..i had to use more straps to hold the truck on.Ricky P.

I returned my truck at night so i didnt talk with any employees. Only thing I had any issues with was the space for parking the truck. There isn't a lot of open space to park trucks as big as U-haul trucks. Aside from that everything else was great.Daniel S.

Uhaul is this guys side hustle. He didn't know how to work the system or seem to have access to our express check in that we took the time to do in advance.Toby P.
The trailer was rented with a tire that had steel belts exposed and, dry rotted. The roadside assistance that was required was less than an ideal situation. Heaven forbid you ever have to call uhaul roadside assistance as I was on hold for over an hour before anyone picked up. Another failure is the online roadside portal said an agent would be in contact in 2mins and that never happened. I seriously had to call and sit on hold... just imagine being at highway speed and having a tire blowout, this could kill a person or a family. If one survived they could be left sitting on the side of the highway for hours just hoping someone would help. My only saving grace was my father notice the tire before I had departed...My advice it to inspect any trailer you plan on renting very closely as uhaul does not ensure safety prior to dispatch. Ensure your trailers have safe tires and overall mechanical systems such as suspension and wheel bearings via a detailed and required inspection process every time a rental in completed. This process should require detailed points of inspection including photo documentation using tread gauges measuring at three points across the tire. There should also be an establish service interval that is fully disclosed to the customer. You should also give notice of the tire date codes to the customer proving that no tire is over its suggested service life. This information should be a continuous record and could be used to market the potential quality of uhaul rentals. Right now there is no of that happening otherwise I would have never had such an experience!Adam B.

Was told the gas level was at 1/4 tank but in fact it was right above E. Put $15 in the tank and drove it about 15 miles total. Returned the truck with over 1/4 tank. Returned it at night so didn't say anything about it. I did take a picture of the gas level and mileage when I got the truck though but had already drove it the quarter mile to new house so again didn't say anything about it. Just need to check actual fuel levels before renting.Danya L.
