I was scheduled for pick up at 9:00 am, the location didn't open until 10:00. I paid for an Uber there and back and the location was closed! I am out of 42.75 Uber fees!!!Tashzma B.

Trash in truck almost didn't start. Dome light was left on. Went 1 mile didn't start again. Called u haul it took forever to get some one. Hour later got a gentleman to jump us. Cost me $30 I was paying the movers $50 a hour. Called the store to see if he could jump me. He told me to call u haul. Fuel was not at half took pictures. Terrible place dirty too.will never go there again. He said he checked it. Don't think he did. Because hopefully he could have got the Trash out. And it barely started.GEORGE S.

Upon reserving the truck, I selected and was under the assumption I could use the Pick Up 24/7 with your phone. When I arrived the app instructed that I had to wait until the store opened to get the truck I had reserved two hours before their opening time. None of the workers inside were wearing masks despite still being in a pandemic. And the bed of the truck was dirty and had items in it I did not purchase.REBECCA M.
At our scheduled drop off location, we were initially told â€œNo, no, no, no, noâ€ by the clerk who refused to accept the return. He phoned another person and handed his personal cell phone to me. The man on the phone told me he had an emergency and the other man did not know how to complete the return; suggested we go to another return location or leave the truck (sans inspection for mileage, gas or damage) for him to complete the return at a later time. Reluctant to leave the truck without inspection, I phoned another location owned by the same people. Fortunately, those people were more helpful, closed out the rental with a photograph of the odometer and gas gauge. Before leaving, we took photos of the trucks exterior, for use in case we might be charged later for damages that were not ours.Ruth M.

This location was the worse. I arrived at 2:30pm to pick up my truck with a dozen moving pads. There was no one available to complete my paperwork until 4pm. I informed them there were movers waiting and being paid as of 3pm. When someone finally showed up, they informed me that they didn't have any moving pads. The location was open but no agent was available and qualified to complete the transaction. They didn't even offer a compromise for their massive delay in completing my move. Very frustrating and costly. Will never use this location again nor recommend to anyone else.Patricia T.

The customer service is awful. There is only one person who can handle all transactions and he's never there. You have to wait until someone is available to come from a different store even when you have a reservation. I've never experienced anything like this from Uhaul. I definitely will not return here.Trina H.

Again, this shop manager went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We drive from South Carolina on the day after a major hurricane, and when I called to tell him I would be a few hours late because we lost a whole day off packaging the truck and driving, he made sure we didn't get charged an extra day. Both managers made our move a lot more pleasant, just because of the awesome service they provided us. I wouldn't use any other moving equipment company.Angela F.

Only after threatening to report the owner to the corporate office did they honor my reservation. They did not have staff available to check me out, offered no apologies and said I would need to wait at least 45 minutes. The location is dirty and U-Haul rentals are the least priority of their business. I would not allow the U-Haul brand to be associated with these owners. They also told me I may have to drive to another location to get my rental. It was only resolved because I said I would complain and they would eat the cost if so. The individuals were very friendly and helpful. The truck was well maintained but the rear box needed swept out prior to me putting my belongings in it. This was not a big issue and would not deter me from recommending them or even using them again myself.April H.

I reserved a truck earlier in the week. A person called a day before pickup to confirm that I am still coming to their location to pick up the truck. I replied yes. There was no truck available when I arrived to the pickup location.The lady working there was kind enough to find a truck at another location however it was smaller that I requested. When arriving to pick up the truck I had to wait 20 minutes before someone arrived that was trained how to process U-Haul. The truck had the wrong mileage on it but by the time I realized it I just had enough with the service I didn't want to deal with it and paid for the extra 20 miles. When dropping the truck back off I again had to wait for the same guy to show back up. Stay far far away from this location.Tyler B.

It took forever to get my bill straightened out. I requested moving boxes and furniture covers when I ordered the u haul online. I was quoted one price but when I came to pick up, the additional items I had requested were marked up in the storeKelven Q.

Train the rental clerk. It took an inordinate amount of time to process the rental. Then the clerk told me the trailer was around the back of the building and to come back in if I needed help. Also, tried to charge double the rate. And why would you want the plate number of the vehicle being towed?Joseph S.

Well, First I did not appreciate that I was told that my $20.01 did not put the tank at the spot it was when I recieved it. Secondly, I was told it was okay to use the truck for 24 hours, I did tell them I may drop it off that night however I did not get back into town until later thus causing me to drop the truck off when I was on my way to work. Since I work in Harrisburg and live in Duncannon. The guy who uses this truck to rent out to others calls me rudely saying I didn't drop it off in the condition I recieved it and is now charging me a total of $225!!!! My quote was $71.46 for 30 miles, while I did use an extra 51 miles due to a detour, I am almost certain that $225 is WAY out of line. He is ALSO charging me $45 for gas I had ALREADY placed in the truck, I refuse to pay that amount. If I get penalized on my credit so be it, I refuse to pay what I DO NOT OWE PERIOD!Brianna B.

The man who serviced me was awesome about hooking my car/tow up to the Uhaul; however, he never provided my furniture pads or mattress bag. He also didn't seem to know how to use his system so ringing up the purchase/contract took forever. Also, the location isn't one I'd willingly go to.AMBER B.

Wasnt open when I returned the truck, nothing on their number or voice mail about uhaul. I had to call twice to confirm they got the truck back Uhaul said they buy back all unused boxes and boxing supplies, but this location doesnt do that. The staff who opens the store was late arriving to work that day. My pick-up time was for 10 a.m. (same time as store opening). Staff did not arrive until 10:10 a.m. This normally wouldn't have been a big deal to me, but I had a moving company waiting for me at my home to come back with the U-Haul truck so they could pack my things and I was being charged for every minute of their time. Despite a reservation, the truck was parked in a lot on a steep slope that had not been plowed or shoveled from weeks of snow. It took the proprietor and his assistants 45 minutes to get the truck unstuck - it had become stuck immediately upon its first movement. The fuel was initially marked at 1/2 tank, After the 45 minutes of the proprietor revving the engine and spinning the tires trying to get it unstuck, I asked if he would mark an adjustment to the fuel level since it was now reading a full 1/8 of a tank less. He immediately became enraged and suggested I cancel the rental. To avoid unreasonable charges, I returned the truck the next day with the 1/2 tank quantity - an amount that included the proprietor's use of the fuel to get the truck unstuck. I do not recommend this location, and in the future I'll seek a Ryder, Penske, or Enterprise rental.Jesse K.
