I reserved a 10' ft truck with a guaranteed availability, however, gave a 15' instead at a higher price! I was never notified of the change! I did not have the time to look for another 10' ft truck because I had to clear out my in-laws apartment that day. I will look at other companies in the future.

The lady that was working at the store was extremely unprofessional. The only saving grace was there was a Uhaul representative onsite when I picked up to help me. Please close this location.

Steven CSam was very nice. He called two days before to confirm the pickup and location. When I got there the truck was blocked in by another truck which I was required to move. I was sorry and concerned to see there was no gas in the truck when I started it up. It actually read 0 miles to empty. I was forced to drive it to a gas station not knowing if I would be able to make.
Leroy JThe Quick Check foods provided wonderful customer service and the employee was very helpful. However, I initially reserved a U-Haul at a different location. I set a pick up time for 9:00am. Upon my arrival I was told that the vehicle had not yet been returned by the previous customer and that it would not be returned for another 2 hours. There were no other comparable vehicles available to rent at that time. U-Haul should consider a better system to ensure that reservations are fulfilled. This could have ruined my entire move. Thankfully, Quick Check Foods came through!

Sam KSo my reservation was never assigned to any store let alone this one. We were told they'd work on locating a truck and trailer for us. After about 2 hours I called and was given the number to the main hub. The woman I spoke to on the phone was wonderful. She found us a truck and a trailer, in 2 different locations. I asked her if we could get a discount as we were now at least 3 hours behind on our timeline. She said the most she was allowed to do was leave a note for the stores to see but it was up to them. We then get to location that had the truck. Unfortunately the truck they had was for in town only so my husband was asked to drive to a different location, while the store owner followed, to meet up with a different person who was bringing the truck we could take out of town. My daughter was waiting with the car that was to be towed at the place with the trailer for over an hour in the heat. When asked for a discount we were given an extra day, which wasn't needed as we had our trip planned out and had to leave after loading regardless of the time to stay on track. I believe he added some gas allowance?? Anyway it was an absolute crap show and we were 6 hours off schedule.

Rolita MI have mixed feeling about my experience with this company. It was difficult for me to returned the rental. The man had it running for a long time and that could be the reason why the gas I put in the rental was low than expected. I don't know how the price could start off with an estimate of $50.00 something, to over $100 dollars. I guess I won't have a choice but to used yall again, not too many options to choose from.

DArcy Dits a small corner store and the workers were rude, and did not want to remove the car carrier so that i could get my belongings out of the truck even though the pick up location informed me that they have to do that... so i removed myself and put it back on once i got my belongings out then when i returned it to the Alcy locations they complained about me not parking it in the lot where there was no room,,, Uhaul should not use this location at all for any reason. then when I asked for a manager or the owner they gave no information to contact him and that I would have to deal with them. I will never probably use Uhaul again do to that location... spoke with the location in Henderson Nv. to get this straighten out. then later the owner of the Alcy location contacted me and still gave very little help and was supposed to contact me the next day if there where any damages but I never heard from him... Still being very unprofessional. this whole situation has been a nightmare and i have always used Uhaul... But at this point I would just like to see some of my money refunded.... Charles Oliver

Alyssa FUnderstaffed. There was only one person working there to check out both the uhaul customers and the slew of customers coming for liquor, smokes, and other things. And it was ridiculous that I had to give her the phone number of someone who she ended up calling just to verify that I was who I said I was, even though I had a valid and current state ID issued by Wisconsin and that I handed to get for her inspection.
Paul BThe people inside the authorized rental which was a corner store in the " hood" was very rude, very RUDE. She didn't want to hear the fact that I had already paid for my haul online and was only there to the keys. The store owner even refused to release the ihaul I had to call the company. My pick up time was for 1:30 I didn't get the truck until 3:30. It was an awful experience, never again. Not to even speak on the owner telling me he will dock my card a extra day if I dnt come back in time

Michael QThe whole uhaul experience was horrible! First I did 24 hrs pick up for uhaul on union Ave just found out that they do not offer thT service AFTER TAKING MY MONEY!! Then the customer rep at the union Ave was very unprofessional and walked up like she was going to fight me.. then on top that my reservation was canceled and I did not get my truck!! But yall got my money I ended up going to the uhaul on acy and she chagre 210!! With insurance for the truck I didn't ask for!! After gallon already took 10p from me! I would never rent from you all EVER AGAIN!
SHEENA ULocated in a somewhat sketchy location, with not a lot of room to maneuver. May be a challenge for customers not accustomed to driving large trucks or towing trailers. Staff was very friendly and professional! No issues with them whatsoever.
Joe MFor one the location is in a very bad area of Memphis and the person on duty at the time didn't act like she even wanted to have to do anything with the uhaul it was dirty not cleaned out at all it had pet hair in the back and there was people's stuff in the front of it

SWEETIE BEasily the worst experience I've ever had shopping. The cashier was nice and courteous but the place was extremely dangerous. At one point people in line with me started to show eachother their guns. In total I spent almost an hour waiting to be given my keys. All in all, this is probably one of the worst experiences of my life and I was so happy once I got the truck just to get out of there. Use this place only as your last option, and even then I'm not sure I would use this place.

Jermaine EWe searched the entire Memphis area for a dolly that would fit. There was none. However, Quick check had a damaged dolly. My son and I are both mechanics. Quick Check allowed us to repair the broken fender and straighten the bent metal frame that holds the fender. Only took a few hours. We always carry tools, torches etc with us. I had traveled to Memphis to recover my son's broken down van. This saved us having to drive 100s of miles to find a dolly and probably spend another night on the road. Melissa at Quick Check was very helpful. Her knowledge of U Haul systems and knowing who to contact saved us that day. She honestly cares about your customers.
JAMES AI spent 3 hours driving around the most dangerous parts of the city, where Uhaul customer service directed me to go (after absurdly long wait times), to find non-functional equipment or be told that I had no reservation.

jasyme mI ordered a utility dolly and it wasn't available on pickup, I had to end up renting one from Home Depot at my destination. There wasn't a cord to hook the auto transporter to the truck and I had to personally take if off another auto transporter.
Patrick BI wouldn't recommend sending anyone to the U-haul at 1570 E Alcy Rd. The service was very bad and confusing. I rented from U-Haul several times this year and the services were exceptional. This time it was truly horrible. The owner of the store was rude and was not present he did my rental over the phone and the person that work at the store had no.. zero knowledge what to do. If l wasn't press for time l would have totally cancelled anything. If this was the only U haul l wouldn't every use uhaul !! I am a frontline worker and this was by far the worst day for me at U haul..I hope and pray you look into this for operating u-haul at this location. I had also reservations and they treated me as l was not honest and said they needed to make sure l was going to bring the truck back. I just lost my daughter and l truly didn't need this extra stress.!!!
