My experience was not good due to 1. First had to call to get my reservation right so I could check out keys 2. had to wait for about an hour on phone to get the keys then hang up and call again3. I was promised $50 refund 4. Turn in truck and had to pay over $50 more 5. And lastly had to drive over 4 hours and the rear view mirror would not stay in place 5. Had to have some one follow me to watch my right side NOT safe at all. I think I should get a call from one of your repsconnie A.

The owner was not there at 0800 when they opened for business to help me get my truck. I called U-Haul and they were a great help to me with the Rapid Check-in process. It took 2 phones with internet access to perform the Rapid Check-in process due to this place being in the middle of nowhere. I had the tire pressure light on the dashboard as soon as I started the truck. I had to find a gas station to get a tire pressure reading. I checked each of the tires and they were with 65 psi of air pressure. It states on the truck by the tires that they need to be inflated to 80 psi for each tire. I had to find another gas station to fill them up to 80 psi. This is not good customer service from this location.Ronald H.

This location is too dark at night for 24/7 Truck Share. More lighting should be installed. Customers should not be able to pass the entity up 3 times because it is too dark to see a sign or trucks. Other than that great experience from that location.TERRELL D.
My experience was awful. I reserved a 26ft truck five days in advance and was assured I would have a truck available. I got there at 8:00 ready to pick up and no truck was available at this location or no near by location. My sister was moving this day and had hired people to help with the move, plus she had to be out the apartment that weekend. The workers at the Lafayette location would not do anything to help us. We had to get on the phone and try to find a truck. We found one 3o miles away. I had to go there pick it up and return itâ€¦ adding miles to my bill. I felt that was very unfair, although I got a discount on mileage rate, it was real inconvenience and cost way more money , because I had to pay the movers by the hour. The location where i got my U-Haul from was very well maintained But that's not where I had order a truck. I had Reserved a truck in Lafayette Louisiana and should have been there at that time, but it was not. Therefore we had to travel to Opelousas Louisiana. That made us lose time and money for the mileage. Do to the longer drive we had a window to make and we almost did not make it. IF the Lafayette store did not have a truck then U - haul should have reserved us the truck in Opelousas in the being.wilson D.

I showed up on time and was told the truck would not be available until 4pm. My reservation was at 9am. I had to ask if there was one at another location. There was. 1 hour and a half way. Making a reservation with Uhaul is a gamble. I will not be making that mistake againKevin F.

Location was way out of the way from were I needed and was charged extra miles for it. Also did not get free storage like advertised, very disappointed in u haul. Will be getting belongings out if storage as soon as possible and will not be using u haul againRyan T.
Ensure someone is available to assist incase the drop off is heavy equipment. Fortunately, my drop off was one that I could have handled, but what if it was a heavier trailer. I understand at the time the attendant was not allowed to do phyiscal lifting, but in such case have someone available to assist if needed. Other than that concern of "what ifs" I have no complaints. We booked a truck, arrived on time, and there was no truck. Rather than apologize for the misunderstanding, we were told â€œyou and everyone else wants a truck today but there are no trucksâ€. We had to pick our rental up at closing and then we're charged significantly higher than promised because we had to make an extra trip since we couldn't load in the dark. Overall, our worst experience with U-Haul ever.Derek S.

The gentleman at Quality Portable Buildings went above and beyond for us. The people who had the uhaul before us were extremely late in returning it and actually came back with it after he had closed but he stayed with us and made sure we were taken care of. The actual pick-up location was very good. However the overall experience was not good-at all. I reserved the unit at a location that was 2 miles from my home. 2-1/2 hours prior to my pick-up time I received a phone call stating I would not be able to pick-up the unit as they would not have any vehicles in stock. I asked for assistance in finding alternatives-the clerk stated they don't do that but he could send me to the general phone center. The phone center found a vehicle and during my questioning of how far this location was she told me it was approximately 10 miles from the original location. While driving to the pick-up location I soon found out that this information was not correct. It was closer to 30 miles. This meant that I also would be burning up much more gas just to pick-up the vehicle. The only offer of compensation was a $10 credit on the rental. Based on the additional miles, even with the $10 credit, the rental cost approximately $45.00 more than what is should have if the original location had fulfilled the reservation.Lee J.
During business hours the location was not staffed. Multiple attempts to contact office with no response. Uhaul.com drop off web forms didn't work. Uhaul online chat never responded. Hours wasted on phone trying to contact uhaul customer service to no avail. Worst experience ever returning uhaul equipment. What should have been a simple 10 minute task was a total failure! What can you do to improve? How about providing some basic customer service? Like fixing your website, responding to online chat, or simply answering the phone.WILLIAM BURR H.

Point out the hitch size needed by trailers. Have the person taking the reservation tell u what size u need before you pick it up. Also ask what type of plug do u have for the trailer because yours are a four prong. I had to go buy anew hitch right before the place closed. After the guy put the trailer on, he then tells me I need an adapter for the plug. He could have told me that when I went to get the hitch. Instead I had to buy one from. Crappy way of doing business. I won't rush to rent from uhaul eve again. I'll check Ryder firstSHAWN G.
