The truck size I ordered weeks in advance was not available so a larger vehicle with larger gas bill was substituted, I suppose I should be grateful a truck was available. I also requested some moving blankets. This location didn’t have a single blanket in stock! This was so very inconvenient for my move. We had to substitute every towel, sheet, blanket to use (all had to be unpacked of course). You would think something fairly easy to keep in stock such as blankets would be available. I have another move coming up in a few weeks. I think I will try the Huntsville location vs Bracebridge. They have better reviews but they were scheduled to be closed during the time I needed the truck and blankets.

I had to drive an extra hour to pick up the truck and a half hour extra to drop it off. The dolley we reserved was not there. Horrible service doesn't even come close.

Your current system of renting a truck is so much worse than I was expecting. It has been years since I have needed a Uhaul, and I know that much of the world now functions virtually. However, the concept of reserving a truck without any assurance that said truck will actually be available is ...from the specified location...is very unnerving to say the least. It gets worse. I went online, downloaded the app, and placed 3 calls to you company. The final call with Kristy assured me that all was in order. However, the 20' truck turned out to be a 15' truck and no one had told me this ahead of time. Terrible way to run a business.

I did not receive any of the tools I reserved including straps and dolly. The truck was larger than I want as well and I was forced to pick it up in another town. I did get my refund later that day in Sudbury

Lady at desk very friendly first one I was given had. A flat tire then the other one I got was fine until driving down hwy to Barrie in snow storm whippers just collected snow and I could not see road s covered poor visibility and had to reach out window every 5 min to grab wiper to bang it while driving so I could see. Put half a tank back in truck then was charged 20$ . Honestly not a great place only good thing was the lady at desk to pick up vehicle. Will never use U-Haul again . Would not recommend my friend family or anyone to use this company

Desk staff at Quality Inn only took delivery of the truck key. Had no clue about UHaul procedures. Would not verify mileage, truck condition, fuel level. Parking area was not cleared of snow so vehicle was left at front door of the motel.

They had inventory of trucks this time, so good! usually they don't... and when they don't they don't call to inform me - I have to chase them to confirm the inventory is actually physically there (not down in Orillia!)

There were no blankets, dolly and I don't like the fact that I can't deal with the loaction directly. Initally I was going to have to go to huntsville so I liked the fact I was fully able to do an in town move from Bracebridge in the end.

Outside of having the requested equipment available ( asked for a larger truck than the 10 foot I got, was told nothing bigger was available, yet a larger one sat untouched during my time for move and longer). Outside of that, pretty simple too order and complete the process.

It took me sometime to reserve a 17ft truck ( which I did not get)finally reserved a 20ft truck in Bradford ON. Moving from Sutton to Orillia on December 1st. On November 29th got a call from U-Haul telling me the truck was not going to be available but they had a 15ft. I was not happy. Finally after some frustrating conversation U-Haul representative found a 26 ft truck in bracebridge but wanted it returned to Bradford,which didn’t make sense to me (Bracebridge is half hour drive away from me Bradford is an hour away) I go to bracebridge to pick up the truck only to be told they didn’t have it. Back on the phone to U-Haul to resolve this problem .End result I ended up with the 20 ft truck and returned back to bracebridge., after a lot of frustration and stress I wil never use U-Haul I felt like I was of no importance just another dollar

When we dropped off the truck we wanted to let them know that we had issues with the rental truck during the drive but her response was "I don't care". She said she could make a note that there may be an issue but that nothing would likely happen with it. We explained that the truck had to be shifted manually for the last 1.5 hour of the drive and that the ABS light came on for most of the drive. She said she would make a note but other than that she did not seem too concerned. However the truck should not have been on the road as it was not safe to drive.

Ensure all staff at location are trained for rentals. 1st person could not locate the keys and we had to wait for the other person to come back. I found the mobile check in very cumbersome and was not aware of the additional identification process that would follow when we picked up the truck. i did not have additional identification documents with me and was fortunate to be able to have contact information with me for additional contacts

The service at the Bracebridge location was amazing. The truck was not so great. Luckily we didn't have to go far I don't think the truck would be safe on a long haul or on the highway. The process took us forever as well. I don't allow my phone to know my location and that was another issue. The staff at the hotel where we picked it up were patient and extremely thankful for our patience and knew how to help us. Also, the price for mileage was more than the cost of the truck and we went under 20km! Seemed a bit more than pricey that way. But it got the job done.

Paid for the full rental amount in cash at the front desk at Quality Inn & was charged an extra $33.94 CAD nearly a week after returning the U-Haul vehicle with no reason for why I was charged for it. Indira Singh stole this money from me.

I was charged 15 Litres of gas when it was filled to the same line when I picked it up. It seems they weren’t aware of the fact it was less than 3/4 full when I picked it up.

Door wouldnt close properly on drivers side. Was given a rate of 69 cents a litre and was charged more. Was given a smaller uhaul then ordered and the people at site argued with me that it was my mistake..

Maybe start by giving people what they’ve ordered there was no dolly on the truck. They only gave half of my cash deposit back which I don’t know why I’m still disputing that with U-Haul. They have a third-party where you pick the truck up and do the business at a hotel with the check-in people they don’t know much about the trucks at all except how to give you one and take your money and then someone steals half the money out of your deposit and they look at the customer like it’s my fault and they don’t just go into their money and give me their money to make up for it but they just tell me I got a call U-Haul don’t rent U-Haul from Bracebridge bracebridge Ontario. There are a bunch of rip off artists and the hotel quality inn that they’re associated with a rip off artist as well. I stayed in a room one night and it was so outdated their pool in the workout room is from the 80s and it’s and it’s been through at least three owners in the last 10 years there should’ve been some upgrades the restaurant there sucks, and the weird thing is they’ve got lots of business. They have Hammond bus, Northline Xpress stopping there they have U-Haul renting out of there you figured that they’d have the money to upgrade their property. it’s such a beautiful location right at the river. The lady Muskoka docs there as well beautiful scenery, beautiful patio to eat on but the people who are running it don’t know what the heck they’re doing. I think they have more money than brains. And that’s OK let them do it how they want but they won’t be getting my money ever again..

Easy to reach location however pick up truck was filthy. The side was full of dried dirt, steering wheel sticky, console sticky. Lucky I had some wipes in my bag. Was in town to help daughter move and needed truck just for a short time.

Location didn't open until 10 am. When the original reservation at another location was moved here, I was told by the dispatcher that I could access a lock box key before hours through the U Haul app. I got there at 8:30 and no lock box. Finally at 9:45 I went into the hotel (where the office is located) and the woman told me they don't do lock boxes. I must emphasize that she was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The problem was the miscomunication between the location and the dispatcher. I had to scramble to make new appointments at each of my stops. Otherwise all was great with the rental

The staff dispatching the equipment was not properly trained and could not handle any issues. When they tried to get help at the main office they were put on hold and when got through were also not trained properly to handle issues. Uhaul needs to step up their customer service and training. We had a very bad experience and would recommend uhaul to anyone in the future

The truck served the purpose of towing my travel trailer home from southern Alabama to Ontario following a bad car accident. However it was a miserable drive. It was bumpy and loud. The truck is so noisy my wife and I had to yell at each other. The truck should have cruise control. My leg is still sore after a drive of 1600 miles.

Windshield wiper fell apart on route and we had to buyva new one and replace. Seemed to be an issue with transmission and/or brakes. Very bad juddering on acceleration and deceleration. Very bumpy, uncomfortable ride!

I was told on arrival that the location didn't open until 10 am. I had reserved the truck for 730 am. Had to beg to get the truck. Then I was advised I had to have the truck back by 130 pm. How do you charge a full days rate for 6 hours. Not impressed but did enjoy the truck and the way it handled.

I would strongly suggest that there was some kind of sign, or window decal, or any form of indicator that would assist someone finding the uhaul pick up site? There was absolutely no signs posted anywhere, that would suggest that a uhaul location was there at the spot to pick up the truck. I had to call and find out (after driving in a few circles) that the place was inside a quality inn hotel to pick up the keys and register.

There isn’t a drop box for the vehicle key at this location. Take the key inside the Quality Inn office. The front office staff are very helpful.

Rented from a hotel in Bracebridge that unfortunately was the town’s U-Haul franchise. Staff were clueless about the equipment and largely indifferent - anyone who came through the door after me took precedent over my rental. Then had to spend over an hour digging my cube van out of the snow (photo available) and fuelling it. Obvious case of the hotel’s management milking U-Haul with absolute minimal effort and expense. Good experience overall with U-Haul elsewhere, but this is a terribly-run franchise. As a Bracebridge resident, I’m embarrassed.

Will never use uhaul again. Hours at Uhaul office/Quality inn are terrible. Office is not open until 10am is total BS..1/2 the morning is gone for any type of move. I got charged $14 for fuel because appartently the tank was not exactly at 1/2 fuel. Stupidity to have a customer try and bring back tank at exactly 1/2. Everywhere else the vehicle brought back at full..which is easy to do!. I had to go to gas station as soon as I got van and fill up. Very inconvenient. Plus van did not have cruise control which is a necessity for hwy driving.

Charge me what I was quoted. It was almost twice what was estimated. The quote was in kms. but I was charged for miles. Have working windshield wipers, the rubber was gone and I was driving in snow. I will certainly tell everyone I talk to not to use Uhaul.

We were very nervous in picking up the rental as we called ahead of time to confirm things and the truck still did not arrive from the previous customer. The lady on the phone said she hopes it comes as sometimes they don’t. We were already driving 1 1/2 hours to pick it up and we had 4 friends traveling from 5 hours away to help us move. We thought the truck better be there as that would have been a complete disaster. Thankfully the trick did arrive. The Uhaul representative (customer service) that we called looking around other places to see if they had any others ones close by gave us suggestions but they were 4 or more hours away. She did say the pick up place could call the tenter who has the truck to confirm they are arriving by 4::00 pm. We then called the pick up location to do that to help ease our mind that we were not traveling 1 1/2 hours for nothing would have been helpful. The pick up location representative Said they can not do that. Very nerve racking and not the greatest system.

I don’t understand why I have to go Another 45 minutes north and then drive back when I live seven minutes away from a U-Haul and then on top of that another hour and a half drive back to where my destination was super disappointed in that I don’t understand why we make reservations for certain places to pick up a vehicle but when the time comes you don’t have a vehicle available and I’m stuck driving 45 minutes north to pick up a vehicle that’s 40 km away

I dropped off my vehicle before the stated time with the same amount of gas in the tank. I was charged an extra day because the return wasn't input until 8 minutes after the stated return time and I was charged extra gas. I will never use U-Haul again and will ensure that this experience is shared with my friends and colleagues. Budget and Discount are superior options.

The pick up location has limited hours and no express pick up or check out for trailers. Having to wait until 10am to pick up a trailer that is insecure and does not require any assistance from staff was very frustrating. I called a few days ahead about an early pick up and was advised only trained staff members could assist so even if I got there early, I would still have to wait. When I got there, the staff was helpful and tried their best with a slow Uhaul system but clearly prioritized the other customers, stopping my check out to deal with their needs. It took 20 min to check ID and get my credit card info that was already in the online system. It’s really the only option in town and a great price which worked well for my needs but the initial process was frustrating. Still recommend but be prepared to be flexible

Biggest problem was that the previous customer did not return on time with the trailer that I reserved. Not the locations fault but customer service couldn't reach the previous customer either. Had to take an open trailer (all that was available) instead of the closed trailer that I needed.

Booked a pickup in Barrie but was informed that I had to drive over an hour to pickup the vehicle in Bracebridge. With the current cost of gas, it basically doubled the amount of what I had to pay for the truck.

I called and explained my problem and was allowed to change the dropoff. The trailer could not be hauled after dark. Jarret told me that they would look in to the trailer to ensure it was safe. He also gave me a credit to go toward my mechanic bill.

The U-Haul wasn't ready for our guaranteed pickup slot, and the poor kid at the desk didn't seem to know we needed a dolly, so that wasn't available to us. It took us over 45 minutes to pickup a U-Haul even after providing drivers license photos and payment online beforehand. Our dropoff spot selection was overridden by this location as well, so we had to go an extra 25 min out of our way to drop off our U-Haul when the original drop-off location was less than a block from my new address. I would never use this service again.

I was told I had a 24 hour rental, from 10:00 AM on one day until 10:00 AM the next day to use the trailer. It was picked up at approx. 9:30 AM and returned at approx. 6:30 the same day. I was charged for two rental periods. Misleading.
