This location said they don't take uHaul trucks during the winter. I had to drop the truck at a different location in a different city.

Linda BRental truck had an exhaust leak into the cab. Made everyone very sick and unable to drive for extended periods of time without the windows down. Windows down during a snowstorm is not a fun way to travel.

Michael JFirst of all, this location was not the one I had originally reserved. And the location was open even though Uhaul had called me the previous day and said they were closed. Using the Uhaul app to check in, the truck number did not match my reservation and the keys were not in the key box. Trying to pick up the keys inside the building took over 30 minutes. The Uhaul system was completely wrong regarding a number of items of my reservation. The Uhaul app also did not work when returning the truck - I could not upload pictures of the odometer reading or fuel level. Very frustrating.
Scott SJustin seemed a little lost on what to do, nice guy just took longer than expected. Also, never told me the drop off location, had to call you guys, turns out he never selected one. Again not a huge deal.

DIANNE BI returned the trailer to Lake Linden, but I first tried to drop the trailer in Calumet which is closer to us. The Calumet office was open but first told me I could not drop the trailer till after 10am. I arrived there at 8:45. I did not want to wait at the facility for over an hour. Further the people in Calumet were not at all customer friendly. I would never use the Calumet U Haul facility even though it is more convenient.

douglas dVery poor response when I called them the next morning after I dropped off the truck. They were to “busy” [lazy?] to check the truck in so after two days I contacted U-Haul customer service to report I dropped off the truck early.
Joseph AIt should not be hard to get the uhaul to the location I wanted and time that I wanted. It took several phone calls to get it to Lake Linden. It was not location fault. It took two reservation to get it there.

Eric KWanted to turn it in at different location. However, there was on employee who knew how to change location. and she was not there. So I went back to my original drop off location, which was excellent. They did not open up until 9 AM.

ED KI was told I could pick up the truck at the Atlantic mine u haul at 0700. I got a message then on my phone to pick up the truck in Lake linden, mi another 20 miles North St 10 am. My daughter called Atlantic mine and they said I could have picked it up Sunday but by that time it was to late and it could be picked up Monday at 8:00 am. I arrived in lake linden at 8:00 am and the hardware store didn't open until 8:30. After waiting 40 minutes, they couldn't find the key; didn't know how to check in or out a truck. After 30' they found keys and took another 35' to fill out paperwork and get blankets. By the time I got back to my home it took about 3.5 hrs after I stopped and talked to the Atlantic mine office - who graciously gave me another day. I dropped the truck at the (nearest) M-72 u haul dealer in Traverse City. She wasn't supposed to get any more trucks but graciously took it. She was great. So, lake linden gets 1-star; Atlantic mine gets 4+ stars and traverse City gets 5 stars. Rough start but good finish.
William HI ordered a 17 foot Uhaul and was told I had to take a 26 foot. This bait and switch always happens when I use Uhaul. After an argument with a representative of Uhaul I was given a 20 foot truck.

Robert SI rented a box truck to pick up used kitchen cabinets, because I wanted enclosed transport. The truck was very comfortable, rode well empty or with the load (actually, pretty light for the capacity of the truck, I'm sure), and got at least 8.94 miles per gallon at highway speeds in somewhat hilly terrain with lots of "resume speed" zones through small towns. Nice to see that U-Haul is back to using Ford chassis, too! The center jump seat was roomy enough to put the dog's kennel there, which was very nice, since she's old and creaky and we don't like leaving her by herself for long periods of time.
