I was charged $1.19 and was told it was $1.00 per mile. Was very disappointed!
Thomas wThe pick up location was changed two days before hand. Once I arrived the entire national UHaul system was down, and I was not able to receive the truck at the scheduled time. The pick up was not smooth at no fault of the pick up location.
Bettina HThis was a terrible location for picking up a u haul truck! Basically a convenience mart with a cashier trying to run a store, while fumbling through a rental. He had no idea what to do. It was challenging enough that the attendant was not proficient in English. The truck was dirty and missing knob to roll down driver window. Steering column was very difficult to loosen when turning key in ignition. Gas gauge noted online, was not accurate on 1/2 that was shown. No assistance, just here are the keys….go away. No contract, no cc, just weird! I think U Haul needs to evaluate this facility and hold some training. It was bad!
Barry HWas quoted 70$ was charged $145.99 then charged $131.87 truck was dirty from last rental. Had no dolly no blanket like stated it would. Guy didn't know how to rent it. No paperwork. Had to speak to someone on the phone.Couldn't understand him cause he didn't speak very good English. Now fighting to get my money back. Ugh miles and gas didn't match! System wouldn't allow me to change it or take pics of the trucks condition and dashboard to show it was wrong. This turned into a NIGHTMARE! Never had issues with getting a Uhaul EVER.. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere
LISA GVery helpful, already had all my info up from last UHaul renta, l sparing me to start over. This location has just one 20-foot truck but it turned out perfect for what we needed. Felt like a friend setting me up, quick & painless. Thank you, guys.

ERIN RI tried calling the 800 number about my return, couldn't ge a person on the phone. So I googled this location near our destination and dropped off…very smooth!
JAMES JThey had no idea of my reservation. Transaction was completed we me talking to someone over the phone not in person. Truck body was not clean. Cab smelled of cigarettes. My worse ever experience with a U-Haul rental.

JORDEN SCode to the key box was not given. I was lucky the attendant was at the store. Drop off location did not answer the phone.
Amos CI returned the truck to the location earlier tha scheduled. The person said everything was fine and my receipt would emailed. The next day still no email. Next two days in getting texts to return the truck, and card was charged 3 different times.
Eric II had the rental scheduled for Saturday and received a phone call from U-Haul on friday stating that the location I had selected didn't have the size I required so they offered a different location and set up the time for me telling me I could pick up as early as 7AM. When I got there at 7:15 for my 7:30 pick up appointment the man behind the counter could not speak English. Around 7:45 a younger man showed up to check me out and get me my rental and informed me that they did not offer pick ups until after 9AM. Then he offered me a discounted deal if I were to drop off to the same location instead of what I had selected, I agreed only if he was going to be there or someone I would be able to understand and he reassured me that he would be there to accept the return later in the day. When I returned at 3PM he was not there, the original man that did not speak any English was there but left once he saw me and the other man behind the counter also did not speak English. Eventually I made my way to the package store next door to see if anyone could translate for me and the guy working there checked me out. The whole process was completely unprofessional and frustrating. I had people waiting to help me move furniture due to the schedule that U-Haul set for me. I would suggest not having pick up or drop off locations where customers can't understand the workers at all.

Mike MThere was a handcart and blanket that was zip tied into the truck wasting space. If you broke the zip ties you were charged an additional $10 for the blanket and $7 for the handcart. Also, uhaul should make accommodations to have a truck brought closer and the size the customer request.

Patrick RStaff was very nice and I was able to drop off the truck quickly and be on my way with a receipt.
Micheal PKeep clean vans and make sure each van is properly checked over and is safe to be taken out! Don't lie to a customer just to get them to use your vehicles and out of your hair. At drop off, again no one went over the vehicle with us to make sure we left it in better conditions we received it. Kind of confusing as to where we exactly do drop off, it was a convenient store.
Jessica GThe pick up was supposed to be in New London. We had to drive 20 miles to pick it up from a different location. They did not provide me with a contract. I didn't sign any thing and they did not ask for my drivers license. The truck was dirty. No moving supplies available. I have not received a receipt, though my credit card was charged.

brandon gTook a long time at pick up location. 10' truck with less than 2k and both doors don't close right. Could not go over 60 mph it was all over the road, swaying. Rough riding truck poor suspension. Expensive trip almost $500.for 232 mile ride with 2 rooms of furniture and boxes.

Monica HAlthough setting up the reservation was easy, someone called the day before we were to pick up the truck at a remote site over 10 miles away from the original. It was too later for us to cancel so we proceeded to pick up the truck. The first truck was missing a gas cap. Glad I caught it so I would not be held responsible for it. They did reduce the truck cost I I would return it to them but, of course this cost us additional fuel to and from. When I returned the truck they couldn't find me in the system. So overal, not UHaul's finest hour.

Keith SThe person who checked in the truck had to call someone for instructions on what he had to do. After several minutes, he manage to inspect the truck and produce a receipt. The location is a convenience store that does rentals, on the side.
Gary BAssociate spoke limited english and rather then ensure he understood me, just indicated for me to park the trailer over with the others. Did not conduct an inspection of the equipment, did not give any sort of receipt, did not check into the system.
Ned SStaff didn't know even had trailer on site but it worked out and they were very very polite!
Alicia FMy son collected the Uhaul but commented that that staff were not very friendly or helpful. The Uhaul had not been swept and so we had to take care of cleaning it out before we could start listening adding and there were someone's old clothes in the cab
Melanie BTo begin, I reserved the 10' truck for a 12 hour window from 7am-7pm. When I arrived at the pick-up location a hand-written sign on the door stated they wouldn't be opening until 8am. According the the Uhaul scheduling office the business owner had not changed his hours with Uhaul either. The business did not open until 8:13am and I was not able to leave with the Uhaul until 8:44am. The woman that assisted me at the location was un-trained in the Uhaul system, not knowing how to access systems and necessary functions of setting up a reservation. The Uhaul was dirty, with sand and debris in the back storage area as well as dirt, debris and trash in the cabin. I told her I was not taking the Uhaul with garbage in it and she rolled her eyes, took 2 water bottles out from under the driver's seat and said "you're all set now". I returned the Uhaul early, and again the agent assisting me in my return was un-trained and again had to call the store owner to get all the information. He then proceeded to charge my credit card without informing me and what I was being charged for, or what the amount was going to be. When reviewing the receipt I noticed that I had been charged for mileage that I did not put on the truck. Out-Mileage stated on my receipt was 37 miles less than what it actually was when I took the truck so when returning the truck I was charged for those 37 miles and the 23 miles I had put on the truck. I showed him my receipt from my pick-up earlier in the day and he reviewed it and still refused to issue me a refund. He told me to come back when the owner was present. This experience was by far the worst truck rental, equipment rental, any rental experience I've ever had. This location doesn't maintain their equipment, they are in-educated the Uhaul systems, and they use the truck for personal use and then force un-knowing customers to pay for the mileage they put on the vehicle.
DARREL Yservice was speedy and worrisome free. there is not really too much to improve on, because everything was excellent.
PAMELA HGreat service. The extended hours and willingness of the manager to accommodate customers is a real plus.

SUSAN MVery unprofessional, & a uhaul worker wasn't even working when I dropped off the uhaul, Waited over an hour to pay for the uhaul and could not understand the worker at the establishment as his English is not that great.

Jeannette WThe drop off was very difficult to determine. I returned the truck on the same day I rented it and couldn't have had a more night and day experience. Not sure if it is because it is a convenience store or what but the staff had no idea what to do when I got there. The person called someone else and finally took the truck. I still don't feel comfortable that the truck was actually returned to the correct place. From now on I will drop or rent a truck from the Groton Uhaul instead.
FERNANDO MThis location let me pick up my rental early. The clerk was friendly and helpful with getting started and the truck was clean and well maintained. The rental location is one is at a convenience store and it appears only one clerk can process the rental. He was present for my rental so there wasn't any issues but I could see it being a problem for some.
David OOnly 1 person at the location (convenience store) but they did not know how to receive the Truck. They called someone who told them just take the keys. I was not given a reciept for the return of the truck and nobody checked to see if I returned the truck with the same amount of gas that was in the truck when I picked it up. The following day I had an extra charge on my credit card for gas. The Truck was returned with the same amount of gas. Therefore I feel like someone stole from me.

MARK MThe store clerk did not know how to do the hook up. Had to phone for help and paperwork. The return had the same problem. Clerk did not know how to in hook. Worst I've ever experienced.
Henry BI had a problem reaching this location as the number given me was wrong. When I called the Rochester store I was placed on hold for approximately 20 minuts. When I finally got a real person she was rude and the most horrible person I ever spoke with in customer service. She screamed at me and eventually hung up on me. She should be fired and should not be allowed to speak with customers. She screamed at me and threatened me with "grand theft auto" The truck needs to be taken out of service as there was no suspension left and the ride was very uncomfortable. I won't be using U-Haul again!!!
ROBERT PConvenience store. The person behind the counter was not very informative (apparently was not the UHaul person.). Eventually instructed my just to leave the keys. Didnt get any sort of receipt or acknowledgement that I had dropped it off. Felt "wrong" to just give him the keys and leave. FWIW, a younger employee at the same location was very friendly and helpful, and made up greatly for the main contact. (I would still recommend it as a drop off location, as it is .25 miles from my house).

Anthony FHave someone available to check the equipment and sign off when it has been returned. Maybe an area on the rental form to show proof that it has been returned
ROBERT PThere were heavy rains during the move. We found evidence of water leakage towards the front of the cargo area. A few boxes got damp, but we have not found any resulting damage. At the receiving end, the agent acknowledged the truck problems. This truck should be pulled and checked for the problems described.
THOMAS ARental trailer leaked along the floor while driving in rain. Not the fault of the location. Otherwise a good experience.
