There was a problem with communication regarding the link to return the truck. "Before you go", could mean many things. I received it almost immediately after picking up the truck and thought it was a reminder to check the truck before I started my trip. Additionally, when I did drop off my truck (after hours), the location had very bad reception and it meant that it took almost an hour to complete the return on line. This was burdensome.

This was the most horrific experience I've ever been through my life renting a vehicle of any type to have the police called on me two different times in to have threatened to have the vehicle taken from me I have nothing to say on this phone other than I wonder why the mark director of marketing still hasn't contacted me

Location is not ideal due to lack of parking but the gentleman did provide excellent service. The only thing is the van’s fuel tank kept resetting the pump and impossible to fill the tank- took 10mins for 5 gallons. I gave up.

The man running the store was super nice and helpful! He showed us the features of the cargo van, checked us in quickly, and offered extended hours in case we went over our expected return time. Would definitely come here again for a U-Haul rental!

I rented a van with same day service, and it was ready when I arrived. Check-in was fast and easy, and sales associate was helpful showing me the vehicle and guiding me out of the lot. Return was also smooth/hassle free.

worst experience ordering a truck ever. I should have went to a local car dealership rather than Uhaul. I ordered a truck well in advanced and confirmed reservation, o my to drive half way around Los Angeles to pick it up only to be told there are no available trucks! I had to drive again back across town to locate the new truck which I was told was transferred to me, however that was not the case. Several phone calls later and my valuable time spent, I was able to finally get the truck. I’m requesting a refund for this horrible experience and all my wasted time.

I booked the truck rental online as a 24/7 rental do that I could pick up s truck early and when I arrived, my uhaul app reported that a piece of equipment was not reserved. When I called customer service, it turned out that the location did not open until an hour after I made the reservation and is not a location that can do a 24/7 rental. I had to wait around for the rental. I should not have been able to make the reservation if the service can't be fulfilled

The truck wasn’t overly clean, but it was totally acceptable for a rental pickup truck. The manager of the store was very efficient and accommodating. The truck was ready for pickup at our reserved time; and checkout and checkin were quick and efficient. It was the closest location for picking up a pickup truck for our move and it worked out fine.

I was charged twice as I was on my way to pick up the vehicle and the and was stuck in traffic. Would never recommend this shop. I actually would tell people to avoid it.

This was a most awful experience, from beginning to end. First, I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled pick-up time, only to learn that my requested truck was not available. The proprietor of the dingy "Provideo" store, which still has a creepy "Adults Only" section demarked by a colorful black partition, told me he didn't know where the truck was, nor when it would arrive. When I noted that I had a contractually scheduled time, the proprietor, who seemed unfamiliar with, or grossly indifferent to, the concepts of customer service and customer accommodation, dismissively told me to take it up with U-Haul. When I called U-Haul's main number, having a limited time to complete my move, I waited 10 minutes to speak to a person, suggesting the company's call center was understaffed on a Saturday morning which, in my experience, is one of the busiest -- if not THE busiest -- times for self-movers. After profiling my situation to the representative, and requesting an alternative location, he told me he needed to transfer me to a manager. I never heard another human voice. After about 10 minutes of waiting I re-dialed the main number (conferencing it into the line I was holding, in case a manager actually came online -- none ever did) and, again, waited about 10 minutes before I heard from a second representative. When I recounted to her my prior conversation with the first representative, she too said she would need to connect me with a manager but agreed to personally hand me off once she found one available. 45 minutes into my ordeal I finally heard from a manager who, on hearing my story, offered to send me to another location -- an idea that should have originated with the dingy Provideo shop proprietor the moment he realized my truck would not be available when I arrived, or when he concluded he didn't know where my truck was, or when it was coming back. The alternate location suggested was 20 minutes away, and my window to complete my move was shrinking, so that wouldn't work. Around that time, the truck I was supposed to have finally arrived. When I relayed this to the manager, she asked if I could return it in less than the four hours I had been scheduled for. In other words, despite not having the equipment I contracted for available when I arrived at the scheduled time, I was being asked to cut short my use time. This was insult being heaped on top of the injury already sustained. In sum, the following issues marred my experience and color my impression of U-Haul: 1) there was no looking ahead by anyone to anticipate problems with, or confirm that my equipment would be available when scheduled, 2) there was no attempt by the Provideo proprietor, and no proactive attempt by U-Haul, to facilitate alternative arrangements or notify me in advance of arriving that my scheduled rental was not available, and I therefore shouldn't waste time in going there, 3) there was insufficient staffing at the call center on one of

Rented a uhaul cargo van, gas was on E when picked it up. Put a few gallons of gas in and drove to my location about a mile away and discovered a massive gas leak on the underside of the van. It was spewing out gas at an alarming rate. I drove back to the pick up location and had lost nearly a quarter tank of gas by the time I got back. The guy at the counter was helpful and issued a refund, but there were no other vehicles available for me to use/rent. Terrible experience.

The equipment was not equipped with proper towing electrical connection. I also was charged for 2 extra days even though I did do a checkin that took me 30 mins to make sure that a similar thing that has happened in the past does not happen again. So this has been an extremely disappointing experience considering it started with the gas level not being correct and even after showing clearly to the agent the level he was still arguing about the level.

Auto checkout - what a mess. If you need me to provide you with people (2!!??) to call when I pick up (an unbelievably stupid requirement) you must tell me ahead of time. No one I know will pick up a call they don’t recognize. If you’re not going to trust me why can you trust the person whose number I give. For all you know it might be me. Either trust or don’t. You literally can’t have it both ways. If you don’t trust me you can’t trust that I’ll provide a legit person to contact about me. All you get is a frustrated customer. Plus, I am a returning customer with an account. Why is have to go through that is beyond me.

Explain how estimating miles works and how it affects your final bill. This is not well explained on the internet when you sign up to reserve a moving vehicle. I rented a pick up truck for 4 hours. I estimated 35 miles, but ultimately it was only about 15. My final bill was not adjusted at the location. I wasn't even asked about my actual miles. BUT, I called customer service later the same day, and my credit card was immediately credited for the over charge on the miles, about $30! Thank you.
