Perhaps not give us and tow that both broke down on our ride, resulting in a 23 hour halt to our travels and the deaths of five animals due to being separated from the truck and everything we needed while the animals were forced into a hot van because uhaul selected a facility that wouldn't allow pets when they got us a hotel for the transfer. And then perhaps not select movers that threw all of our belongings into the second truck, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damaged and missing items (we're missing countless boxes I presume were kept out because they couldn't fit them in after throwing them all in). Literally, everything was thrown in. More was damaged when we opened the door after reaching our location and a literal landslide occurred. All of my reptile enclosures were destroyed, lamps were destroyed, our beds and couches have holes in them, our tables and stands are all dented and have giant holes from other objects falling on to them. Several TVs and computers were destroyed because the movers (not the ones we paid at our departure locationâ€"the ones uhaul paid when our belongings had tk be transferred to another truck while we were at a hotel without a vehicle) packed extremely heavy cans of food and books on top of them. We have almost nothing worth saving after spending over $3,600 on the uhaul alone and I lost out on nearly $200 in gas less than twenty miles after refueling when the uhaul broke down and I had to input and additional $200 into the new truck.

Except that it was a busy spring Saturday morning and the truck I rented smelled terribly of cigarrettes and had not been swept clean, (actually had a large pile of dirt and debris like someone had started to sweep and not finished) the process was smooth and the truck ran well. Gracias.

Make sure photos of vehicles are up to date. The van I rented, using the self pick-up app, had a few dents and scratches that were not accounted for. Took pictures during pick-up process to ensure I was not liable. Do yourself a favor and thoroughly inspect vehicle before leaving the lot.

This is the second time I have had to drop my rental here. The last time was 5 or so years ago. Nothing has improved. A none-too-friendly, none-too well shaved guy comes out from between some trailers and says "Hey. Move it up." He waves me forward about 10 feet, takes the trailer off the hitch and says, " That was easy. You're good to go." I said, "Don't we need to do pictures and do a check-in to document the return and condition of the equipment?" He responds, "Nah. We're just good ol' boys here. Now you can go." I said, "But, you don't know my name or contract number." He waves me away and walks back behind some rental trucks. I could imagine hearing the dueling banjos. It was the same the first time as now. I will drive 50 miles, if I must, to return a future rental to somewhere else.

Be sure that they clean the equipment inside and out. I was in a hurry or I would have insisted this be done. This facility is a small community operation with limited onsite hours of operation and employee work hours. They do the best they can to process your rental.

Picking up online was a nightmare. The app refused to start, had to call help line, and kept kicking me out to start over again. It took 40 minutes with help to pick up the truck with cell phone.

MAJOR app problems. Tried to call, was on hold for 40 minutes. During that hold time I just reserved another truck. App didn't work at all on return and had to use website. Second time in a row that we have had major issues leading to major delays.

There were cigarette ashes in the ashtray and the cab smelled strongly of cigarettes and cologne. When I went back to have the auto transport hooked up the owner made a show of me not being able to do it because I was female, as was my friend helping me. He couldn't be bothered to hook it up and instead convinced me to have my friend drive my personal vehicle behind the Uhaul truck and said he would reverse the charge for the auto transport. Which has not happened yet.

I was charged for a additional safe tow coverage for a extra $8.00 that was not on my order that I placed online and I did not want. I didn't notice it on my bill until I had already left. I won't be using Uhaul again and if I do it won't be that location at all. Uhaul can feel free to contact me.

The Uhaul owner/operator was extremely rude. The location was run down and not representative of the Uhaul brand. If there was another Uhaul option in the Painted Post area, I would have taken it. This owner needs to retire.

The oil light came on-and-off while my husband was driving it to our home so he checked the oil level- no oil even registered on the stick. Wasted 1.5 hours trying to contact the location (no answer multiple tries), customer service (the 2nd time got us connected with Roadside Assistance) and finally Roadside Assistance that gave us permission to put some oil in it and a link to upload a photo of the oil stick with no oil registering and the receipt for the oil purchased- hopefully will be reimbursed. The request was for a picture of the oil light but my husband was reluctant to turn on the truck with no oil in it in fear that the engine would seize up so substituting the pic with the oil stick instead. We were able to accomplish what we needed to in using the truck for the day but not without a lot of stress and rushing. The person at this location obviously did not check the oil level before giving us the truck. Do not plan to ever use U-Haul again- last two times have been bad experiences- BTW- both with trucks from this particular location.

The drop-off process was quick and easy. I watched the video first and then followed the prompts to take pictures of the odometer and fuel level, inside the cab, and the opened cleaned-out interior. The drop-off location was open so I just handed the gentleman my key. He was polite and asked me to do that while he was helping other customers so I did not have to wait in line. Thank you! :)

Agent was in a hurry to close as it was nearing their advertised noon closing time. He rushed through securing the hitch and safety chains and was about to walk away without helping me check trailer lights for proper functioning. This is an important last step in assuring the rental is complete. When I stopped later I noticed that the front right running light was not working and that should have been noted. Bottom line is that a customer renting near closing time shouldn't feel rushed to leave without safety checks being done.

Hard to believe that U Haul would call the day before pick up that I had to drive over an hour to get my U Haul. This caused a great deal of anxiety and scrambling on our behalf. We are grateful to have had transportation. Moving forward we will always have a back up if you can't provide a UHaul in a location closer to our home.

Your return process caused me a lot of problems. I was tired and running late for another commitment, and your flaw cst me 30 min of frustration. Your website would not take the locate from my phone. A second chat session with Mercede got me manually checked out. Location confirmation was a stupid requirement in my case, returning to the same location.

The truck I rented reeked of garbage and there was even garbage on the walls, floor, and the cubby. I didn't really want to put my stuff in it but had to get it moved so really had no choice. When I called uhaul to tell them the only thing the lady said was oh sorry I will let them know. How about a little discount on the cost? No happy at all!

Make sure the keys are for the right truck. And that the paperwork goes with the truck you end up taking out. Took us longer to look for the truck that went to keys, then it did to move our stuff. We will never use uhaul again.
