There were cigarette ashes in the ashtray and the cab smelled strongly of cigarettes and cologne. When I went back to have the auto transport hooked up the owner made a show of me not being able to do it because I was female, as was my friend helping me. He couldn't be bothered to hook it up and instead convinced me to have my friend drive my personal vehicle behind the Uhaul truck and said he would reverse the charge for the auto transport. Which has not happened yet.Amy G.

I was charged for a additional safe tow coverage for a extra $8.00 that was not on my order that I placed online and I did not want. I didn't notice it on my bill until I had already left. I won't be using Uhaul again and if I do it won't be that location at all. Uhaul can feel free to contact me.Danny P.

The Uhaul owner/operator was extremely rude. The location was run down and not representative of the Uhaul brand. If there was another Uhaul option in the Painted Post area, I would have taken it. This owner needs to retire.Myles M.
The oil light came on-and-off while my husband was driving it to our home so he checked the oil level- no oil even registered on the stick. Wasted 1.5 hours trying to contact the location (no answer multiple tries), customer service (the 2nd time got us connected with Roadside Assistance) and finally Roadside Assistance that gave us permission to put some oil in it and a link to upload a photo of the oil stick with no oil registering and the receipt for the oil purchased- hopefully will be reimbursed. The request was for a picture of the oil light but my husband was reluctant to turn on the truck with no oil in it in fear that the engine would seize up so substituting the pic with the oil stick instead. We were able to accomplish what we needed to in using the truck for the day but not without a lot of stress and rushing. The person at this location obviously did not check the oil level before giving us the truck. Do not plan to ever use U-Haul again- last two times have been bad experiences- BTW- both with trucks from this particular location.Jeffrey P.

The drop-off process was quick and easy. I watched the video first and then followed the prompts to take pictures of the odometer and fuel level, inside the cab, and the opened cleaned-out interior. The drop-off location was open so I just handed the gentleman my key. He was polite and asked me to do that while he was helping other customers so I did not have to wait in line. Agent was in a hurry to close as it was nearing their advertised noon closing time. He rushed through securing the hitch and safety chains and was about to walk away without helping me check trailer lights for proper functioning. This is an important last step in assuring the rental is complete. When I stopped later I noticed that the front right running light was not working and that should have been noted. Bottom line is that a customer renting near closing time shouldn't feel rushed to leave without safety checks being done.Donald C.

Hard to believe that U Haul would call the day before pick up that I had to drive over an hour to get my U Haul. This caused a great deal of anxiety and scrambling on our behalf. We are grateful to have had transportation. Moving forward we will always have a back up if you can't provide a UHaul in a location closer to our home.Joe L.

Your return process caused me a lot of problems. I was tired and running late for another commitment, and your flaw cst me 30 min of frustration. Your website would not take the locate from my phone. A second chat session with Mercede got me manually checked out. Location confirmation was a stupid requirement in my case, returning to the same location.Timothy J.

The truck I rented reeked of garbage and there was even garbage on the walls, floor, and the cubby. I didn't really want to put my stuff in it but had to get it moved so really had no choice. When I called uhaul to tell them the only thing the lady said was oh sorry I will let them know. How about a little discount on the cost? No happy at all!Dawn S.

Make sure the keys are for the right truck. And that the paperwork goes with the truck you end up taking out. Took us longer to look for the truck that went to keys, then it did to move our stuff. We will never use uhaul again.JOAN B.

The pickup location was fine. The issues I had were the reservation process itself as well as the self return process through our mobile devices( tried 2 different ones) which did not work at all and uhaul staff at 800 number were not friendly or helpful with that issue. This is the 3rd time in a row we have had issues with uhaul equipment and/or reservation processes, thus it will be the last time and we will not be referring our friends to uhaul. We have had much better service and non issuesDouglas C.
The truck was dirty. There was blood around the driver side door and in the trailer. The trailer smelled as if animals had been hauled. The ramp was covered in bits of wood and branches. The cabin smelled like cigarettes. Worst part - we were told to simply drop the keys off - no mention of the online procedures. We had already locked the truck and dropped the keys off by the time we noticed that we needed to take photos and answer questions. Then, based on our answers, we were going to be charged a cleaning fee despite the fact that the lack of cleanliness was pre-existing and everything we moved was neatly bagged or boxed. When someone reserves a truck online, the truck they reserve should be guarenteed to them at the location they chose or not allow the truck to be chosen. Should not get a call a couple days after reserving it and told now you have to take a smaller truck or go 30 miles out of my way each way for pickup and drop off... Went should I have to pay the extra mileage when it's not my fault uhaul allowed me to reserve the larger truck online.Joshua J.
Don't suggest mobile pick up is more efficient. Longer than normal process and NO response to request for assistance during process. I won't use it again and will advise anyone not to use.Sharon M.
I highly recommend the location. However, I will never suggest uhaul. I've rented 3 times in the past 6 months. Each and every time the mobile pickup option has not worked at all. I had to call uhaul customer support the first time, got into the truck after a 35 minute hold and 15 minute phone call. Serving and third times, thankful the location was open and Tom c could cancel my online reservation and create a new reservation in house. Penske will be my next truck rental. The cost per mile is also astronomical.... the federal government doesn't even charge per mile the outlandish cost uhaul does.Jocelyn S.

Everything was ok except there's no AC (air condition). When we first got the truck from the rental place the AC was working then next thing you know it's just quit working and couldn't figure it out why. So we're just kind of disappointed that there's no AC on it. I was trying to call the place but it's closed already that day. drivMarylou B.
Not having the truck on Friday 08/07/20 as planned really messed up our plans as we hired people for coming to load the truck and also to unload the truck in MD. You have to promise when the truck is scheduled ... it was very stressful! And we were very disappointed again with -UHaulGarrett Hoover H.
