Tr7ck was clean, but mechanically it was a wreck. Exhaust leak, bad front end, bald front tires due to alignment issues, and very gas hungry. In 70 miles it drank 9 gallons of gas. It was not loaded heavily and was all hiway speed. The people at both ends were fine and explained everything well.
bill normanMy husband turned in the truck and the trailer and the associate told him everything was good. However no one checked in the truck. I had to contact Uhaul and I also called Pines Rental. I was told the Uhaul associate would call me back but no one ever did. The truck and trailer was not checked in until the following day. Very poor customer service.
Karyn TennantThis location was nothing but rude and not helpful. Went to get a trailer to rent. There was snow and ice all over the place and the parkinglot was barely plowed so I needed help lifting the front of the trailer onto the truck. The guy there is unwilling to help at all. You’re on your own for everything. I twisted my back in the process trying to fight to get this trailer to move and get it hooked onto my truck. Was hooking up the trailer and the entire time the guy was behind me saying rude things like “what are you doing” and “why are you doing it like that” when he could have just hooked it up. Horrible instructions when renting it from them as well. Basically was telling me as I was checking in how stupid people are and how people don’t use their brains. Just overall the worst U-Haul rental experience I’ve had. I’ve been to many other places and it’s been way better. This place needs shut down. If you read the comments for this place you’ll see what I mean. Not a lot of good is said about it. Would never recommend to others and actually would highly recommend others go somewhere else. I cannot express enough how ignorant the guy was and unhelpful

The truck was already started and warmed up because it was very cold here the day I picked it up. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Travis VanderWeideThe Pines Rental location was friendly for returning the truck, HOWEVER the U-Haul company itself caused a complete failure and inconvenience in the return process. I understand that I am given a preference for the return location, however I was NEVER instructed by a U-Haul representative to return the truck to a location about 20 MILES AWAY from my preferred location. I chose an alternate town than where I live on purpose, but a completely different location called and asked when I would return to them. Again, 20 MILES AWAY from my preferred location without a warning email or call from a U-Haul representative. The mistaken location (Tinley Park Auto Repair & Towing) was fantastically helpful in handling the situation, but the return process felt like a complete failure on U-Haul’s part.

William StansburyCouldn’t print me a receipt. I had to have him right on a piece of paper that I had returned trailer. No one can out to unhook trailer. I unhook the trailer and left it in the lot. No one came out to check it in. Again, the equipment was fine but service at both ends badly lacking.

Robert WaldronI had a reservation 5 minutes from my house and less than 24hrs before pickup my reservation was moved 25 minutes from my house. That’s more gas used and more miles that I am charged for. That was unacceptable. This location was simple easy to get in and out no complaints.

Richard BelberThis location is only open 3 hours in the morning. The appliance dolly I paid to rent was not in the truck! This slowed our move tremendously! Instead of only needing one day I ended up having to pay for a second day which is completely unacceptable!! I’m very disappointed in this whole situation and if hall is going to allow businesses to rent their equipment, the businesses should have hours accommodating to the customers! DO BETTER!! I’m out extra money that was not in my budget due to pines rental inability to fulfill my contract!!
