Everything I scheduled- hitch attachment, pick up, drop off- was inaccurate based on my original reservations, including what was listed online. I'm still receiving inaccurate texts and emails. Not enough staff at locations and much of the staff inept. Never using uhaul again!

John S.This comment is not related to Pikes Peak, but U-Haul overall. I made the reservation for the trailer at a U-Haul location 5 minutes from my home. A few days before I picked up the trailer, I was told that I had to pick up the trailer from a U-Haul location about 1 hour from my home. 4 hours of unexpected travel time had a negative impact on the rental.

STEVEN F.1. Right rear tire was flat (due to a cut in the side wall) but didn't notice it until we started to put things in the truck since the inside tire was taking the load. Getting in touch with a U-Haul representative was impossible by phone so we used the on line help feature. It took about 2 hours to resolve this problem but it was eventually. 2. Put more customer service agents on phones. Expecting customers to do everything on line is not realistic because the site can only handle basic things. 3. Make sure equipment is actually available at the indicated location. We drove about 30 miles to get our truck only to discover that the truck was not there. Fortunately, a representative was able to find us another truck but it took at least 20 minutes to get through to a representative and another 1.5 hours to drive the 15 or so miles to the new location (Pike's Peak Automotive). This wasted our time and drove up our rental costs considerably.

David S.loved the individual gas station where i rented from but my experience with uhaul reservation was horrible. they charged me double the price for rental telling me i CANNOT rent for 1 wk time and CANNOT pick up and return from the same place. even managers on the phone were unable to help me. Thank goodness the kind man at the gas station i picked up from fixed it all for me and saved me the double charge that i would have never known about as i was duped and deceived by your staff on the phone. You need to overhaul the entire situation and make it EASY for people to rent from you especially when they are willing to pay for an entire week rental.

Mark W.When I reserved one way van I was not told I would have to pick up at another location further from my home. Pick location customer service was unimpressive. Van did not come equipped with tie down straps & I received no basic advice on loading van in a safe & stable fashion.
David R.You can actually try and give customer service. We reserved a 20' truck in norristown for a 7am pick up and the day before we were told we can only have a 15' truck (big size difference) from Colmar at 8am. Not happy already but we drove the whole way there to find out that our truck was not returned and there was nothing they could do. They tried calling the person before us but their hands were tied and I had to call the 1-800 number. So staying there on hold for 27 minutes someone answered. By this point I will admit I wasn't the best person but Brielle who was my customer service rep was very short with me and not very helpful. A truck was located but it was 40 minutes the other direction and I had to do a self pick up. Well I had issues with that and had to call Brielle again who actually sighed at me on the phone. At this point it is 10:30am and I have people at my house waiting on me. Someone I was transferred to a Danielle, lovely person, and finally found the keys to the truck and was on my way. I am not sure of your business model but I have to tell you I will never rent from you again and I will make sure anyone I knows doesn't as well. Also, I don't think the question “Can you change your move to tomorrow?†Should ever be asked. When you reserve and receive a Confirmation then you should be responsible to figure it out for your customer (former customer at this point).
