Brent AA Dishonest Service and a Frustrating Experience This was, without a doubt, the worst rental experience I've ever had. My reservation stated that I was supposed to pick up the truck at "Premium Services" at 1064 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91911. I walked there to pick it up, only to be told that I had to go to another location at Valero gas station on Palomar, approximately 2 miles away on foot. They made me waste my time and effort with no consideration. To make matters worse, when I arrived, they tried to charge me an extra fee for a "late pickup", even though the delay was entirely their fault. I decided to return the truck the night before my scheduled 9:00 AM drop-off time to avoid any issues. However, instead of simply checking it in, they tried to charge me an extra $30 for returning it "too early", which makes absolutely no sense. The truck they gave me had only 3/4 of a tank of gas, even though my contract stated it should have been full. Yet, when I returned it with the same amount of fuel it had when I received it, they charged me an additional $36, claiming I didn't return it "full". I even showed them photos of the mileage and fuel level before and after, and they assured me that I would receive a refund within 5 minutes. It has now been over 4 hours, and I'm still waiting. On top of that, the truck's mechanical condition was terrible: it pulled to the right and the doors didn't close properly, making it a safety hazard. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. Moving is already a stressful process, and this place made it even worse with its disorganization, unfair charges, and poorly maintained vehicles. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable and honest rental.
LUIS GI used U-Haul to move and it worked perfectly.. Truck inside was decent. Its not gonna be brand new but it was good... No complaints. Dolly were sturdy. Ethan was the best.

KENNITH HLa renta de este vehículo fue con el propósito de asistir a una cita para retirar un sofá a 30 millas de el punto de recogida. No tengo nada malo que acotar sobre esta locación pero si acerca de la anterior ubicada en 1300 wilson avenue, la hora de recogida era para las 3:30 pm ya que mi cita era a las 4:30 PM. Una vez llegué allí simplemente me dijeron que no tenían nada para entregarme porque la unidad que tenía asignada la tenía otro cliente, y literalmente no había otra forma de resolver salvo ubicar el truck en otra locación. Lo cual hicieron sin ningún problema para ser honesto pero me hizo perder tiempo y perder dinero ya que no pude llegar a tiempo a la cita por el atraso presentado.

Cheryl MTruck was old and smelled a lot like gas, did not have a lot of power. And it was almost empty when I picked it up. It took too long to check out. I prefer the one on main and 4th.

Amy SThe truck broke down on the freeway. Took an hour for the Uhaul mechanic to arrive, then he could not fix the problem. We had to wait 2 more hours for the town truck to arrive and then pay an uber to drive us over an hour back to our base location. It was a horrible experience and I still got charged for the rental.

JERRY SFully clean the van, it was dirty when I pick it up from driver side to the back. When talking to U-Haul customer service they didn't mention a deposit of $200+. Customer service here was A1! Thank you for the van!
GIOVANNI SAs there are always room for improvement, but at this time I do not see any areas of improvement at the Palomar Valero location. The pick-up and return hours are very convenient for me and the fact that there is a rental available even when l may have forgotten to reserve one is definitely a plus. I am a frequent customer monthly and satisfied with the U-Haul rental and service.
BENNIE Smy only concern is that, the cashier told me that my receipt will be sent to me in 15 minutes. it took one hour!

Byron BThe truck was not clean, not swept out, you should spray for insects from other movers using the truck prior. Customer service was good from this location. Overall, would I use U-Haul, if at all possible, NO! bad experiences with U-Haul in the past, they just happen to be the only one at this time that had a truck available to use in my location.

JON GThe. Trucks I viewed and drove were dirty in need of a wash. The transmission didn't shift gears smoothly at times appeared to be stuck in gear too long before shifting. I gave an above average score because the convenient availability for pickup was 10 pm. I picked up at 8:45 pm.
Scott STruck had 125,000 miles on it but surprisingly still ran very well. Truck was dirty both inside and out. it did the job.

felipe PMy recent experience with U-Haul was extremely disappointing. Not only was my reservation messed up, but I was also inconvenienced by having to go to a different location. To make matters worse, the customer service I received was incredibly rude and unhelpful and her name is Ale. Moving is already a stressful experience, and this only added unnecessary frustration to the process. I hope U-Haul can improve its customer service and reservation systems to prevent others from going through similar issues in the future
CATALINO GFirst location did not have my uhaul at time needed ( called customer service and agent was not helpful as I am due a reimbursement of $50 as stated if uhaul was not present at time, said someone will contact me in 3 days?) Had to go to another location and when I went inside uhaul it smelled like a homeless person lived in it and it had a sticky floor, dirty interior and exterior. Was unable to inform on app the condition of uhaul when entered. The worst experience with uhaul so far

Martin MThe customer service experience was horrid. The girl who was supposed to help us with the transaction was extremely rude for no reason. She was unprofessional rude and hostile. After wasting my time by giving me the wrong keys for the truck, she never mentioned I couldn't leave my car on the premises. She aggressively called my phone telling me I had 10 minutes to get back to the rental place or that she would tow my car. I was already mid getting the items I needed to transport and had to drop everything to prevent my car from being towed. She rudely just said, " you have 10 minutes or else I'll get it towed". I didn't even have the car for an hour and felt threatened by her hostile behavior. She hung up twice on me. After I came and spoke with manager about the situation he just said," she said you were tjdeand hung up on her". Not only does she have horrible costumer service skills but also lied about the situation to her manager. I cannot express the level of disappointment I felt by this experience. I will call tomorrow to hope to hear from the manager in regards to this behavior. I have rented from this location before and will make it appont to NEVER come back to that kind of disrespectful and vile behavior.

EDGARDO MThe truck I rented was filthy & dusty. The steering wheel was very grimey and dusty. It got my hands pretty dirty. That should never happen : / I used the truck for moving plus I picked up & brought home my friend who was helping me. She lives roughly 10 miles away. I haven't seen the total bill yet but I'm sure it's gonna be a couple or even several hundred. Uhaul should give it's customers a discount for common usages of their trucks. Why not? Instead they just charge everyone an arm & a leg
