Horrible experience! I had a simple contract 4 days and 532 miles flat price of $221. I returned the truck a day early, with 146 miles less than was allowed, and 1/4 of a tank more gas in it. I was shocked that I received an additional bill of $354.57 for miles when I didn't use all of the miles I was allotted. I called Uhaul on 5/9 and the rep said she would send everything to the area manager to fix. Later that day I received an email from Vernon Clark stating that he was going to refund the $221. I responded back to his email letting him know that, that was the correct amount and that he needed to refund the $354.57. After no response from Vernon Clark, I check my account and he refunded the wrong amount. I called uhaul again on 5/13, requesting the correct amount be credited back to my account. My next step is the Better Business Bureau and filing a fraud claim with my back.Wayne W.

they came out to meet us when we parked, even helped with a bay door that got stuck open on the truck. Were fast and friendly. They were the only positive point of this reservation, I checked no on recommend only because I will never again use nor will i ever recommend UHaul to anyone.Susie D.

I was told minutes before pickup time that my truck wasn't available and I was given a truck half the size which resulted in many more trips and ended up using 104 miles when I would have used FAR less if i was given the right truck. After crunching the numbers I would have payed far less but because of a problem that wasn't my fault, I had to pay way more. Maybe you should give a way bigger discount when people are forced to use a smaller truck and drive significantly more miles. Not asking for something free, but people shouldn't pay more because of that.MICHAELPAUL C.

This location does not advertise that you have to return the uhaul back to this specific location. You are allowed to reserve a uhaul even though you select a different drop off location, and are not made aware of this limitation until you are picking up the uhaul. I had to pay double the amount I was expecting because of the return trip and rearrange all of my plans. The customer ahead of me also had the same exact issue and was coming from 60 miles away. The truck can was not swept out. Even if the people who rented the truck before me didn't sweep it out the owners should have swept it out. One of the wrapping cloths smelled like mildew.Stephen R.
The rental van had a blowout on the interstate and I sat on the side of the road for 3 hours. I was unable to complete what I needed to do because it was too late in the day when the flat was finally fixed. I had to pay for extra time and mileage. I am very dissatisfied.ROGERM B.

I have rented a number of U-Hauls over the yers and Orange Market was by far my best experience. In most cases the individuals running the facilities are not present or do not understand the process themselves. The folks at Orange Market deserve an award for the service they provide. Thanks! I signed up for mobile pickup, but this location didn't allow it. The staff wasn't responsive, but not friendly. At the end, I was charged a $25 cleaning fee which wasn't mentioned by the attendant. She said the amount would by an estimate of $89 based on my mileage. When I returned the vehicle via the mobile app, I asked for a U-Haul representative to contact me to discuss my bill. No one has contacted me in the past 8 days. I will not rent from U-Haul again.ERIK M.

The inside of the cabin floor was not clean. I had to sweep the back of the truck because it was extremely dirty and dusty. I would suggest that if there are known issues with one of the trucks, it should not be made available to rent. The truck I received had the "check-engine" and "check-gas cap" lights on while driving. I had to contact roadside assistance to have it looked at.Natasha S.

U-HAUL HAS LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER. PERHAPS TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND IT HAS BECOME ACCEPTABLE TO NOT PROVIDE SERVICE TO A CUSTOMER, BUT INSTEAD FORCE THE CUSTOMER TO DO ALL THE WORK ONLINE AND THEN BE TREATED WITH ARROGANCE, RUDENESS AND CONDESCENSION AT THE RETAIL LOCATION. THIS IS WHAT I ENCOUNTERED AT ORANGE MARKET IN CHESTERFIELD, VA. The only issue I had is the location call me at 9am asking me about the return of my Uhaul, which due back at 12pm. I can earlier than the contract amount but was charged for being a few miles over. In my opinion if a customer accommodate the business then there shouldn't have been any charge. Although, it was $3.36 but repeat be at the top priorityDARNELLMICHAEL H.

I was told to wait 2 minutes for a manager to check it in. After 5 minutes, i ordered a sub sandwich since i was waiting. A guy came out and started slicing meat and the other employee put the sandwich together. 2 other people ordered behind me. 30 minutes later i realized he was the manager checking me in.Michael V.
A smaller location with limited hours, but they make up for it with great service, willing to answer questions on the phone, and very helpful. Uhaul needs some way to notify customers with a reservation if there will be a delay.James P.
First of all, my on- line quote was $127. When I returned 15 foot truck, I was quoted $212. The on- line person was very helpful. I contacted my credit card and will be disputing the amount. Something wasn't right about the whole deal after return. I di want to pay but not last amount. That particular location has very poor customer service, I went to return the rental cargo van before 6:30pm which is the time listed for that location in regards to the U Haul rental, the manager refused to check in the vehicle, was very rude and disrespectful even to the UHAUL representative who spoke with him after I called Uhaul to report the situation ( that representative was very kind and even offered me a $50 discount for the inconvenience, that location is a poor representative for UHAUL from whom I rented vehicles many times and was always pleased with the service,thanks for asking, I won't go back to that location for anything.STEPHENO H.

Check to see how merchants are doing periodically. Good company... bad choice to let other vendors use your name. Will like to send photos on how the trucks was with USED mask and food containers and trash. Had to wait at least 15minutes for the ppl to clean my truck. Ask the lady about me being charged for another day? only had the truck for less than 24Hrs. When I called to extend rental through customer service, I was told it was ok, I will be charged if it was AFTER 2PM . She was very rude in Orange market . Told me to call customer service if I have questions. Called and sat on hold for 1/2 hr. To be told a supervisor will contact me. Haven't heard back from anyone.LaMesha J.
We've rented before and everything was fine but not this time. Scheduled pick up for 8am, received confirmation then got a call the night before stating not open until 10. Gas tank was empty. Inside was not cleaned and had rock salt on floor. Was very disappointed.STEVENRICHARD A.
This "location" is terrible. I had to wait in line forever to get anything done because they are also a gas station. Took over a half hour just get the keys and when I returned the uhaul they didn't even look over it because they were so busy. The cashier told me the rates and they were what I saw online. He acted like he was just talking to me and asked when I would be able to return it. I said hopefully Friday night but want to pay until Saturday just in case. So I paid for two days. He wrote I would return Friday night even though I immediately said Saturday rate after. I returned the vehicle in under 48 hours and was charged for 72. I not only will not use uhaul again, I will never give another penny of my money to the orange market. They are a joke of an establishment and incredibly rude. I was charged 152.00 for less than two days of a uhaul and still had to fill the truck up with gas.shane L.

I will continue to use Uhaul but the owner of this location was not patient and kind. She is short tempered. I have used Uhaul for years and recommended to many in my organization but will never use this location again. The truck was not prepared, I called one hour and a half before picking up the truck. There was large chunks of ice on the top and the windshield was covered, it took myself and my daughter some time to clean it off. It was dirty inside. I have never had this problem from any of your other locations. Petersburg is the best, well kept and courteous manager. GraciasANGELAGRETHEL C.
Clean the ice and snow off the truck BEFORE you rent it out. That is called common courtesy. It is YOUR truck after all. Truck was clean but my gosh. Get a tune-up. Friggin thing was struggling just to climb a hill and it was empty. Gonna use Penske from now onKRISTINATAMAR D.
Rated it below average because manager said he forgot to have self check in video sent to me and they was an approaching winter storm coming so if I just put the keys in the drop box after hours, if I came back early, he would not charge me the $20 convenience fee. The step by step process of after hours return was simple and I prefer a contactless process whether it's after hours or not. We've always had a pretty good experience with uhaul but the customer service we received from this location in particular, was amazing.
