The young man who served me was very nice and professional. I was, however, shocked at the final cost of renting for a day.with all the miles and insurance added. UHaul should allow a half day rental. Highway robbery.

I have no complaints throughout the entire renting experience. Everything went smooth from start to finish. The only suggestion I could have would be to have a KM buffer for distance travelled before charging excess mileage (maybe 10-15km) as It's difficult to guess" exactly" how many KM you will travel during the rental from start to finish.

BURTON BI was charged an extra day rental because I returned it at 1:30 instead of before 10:30 am. I wasn't told that I had to return it before 10:30am, just that I had to return it on the 11th. Also was charged a cleaning fee. The trailer was very clean, in fact was in the same shape as when I rented it. The attendant already printed off these extra charges before even discussing them with me. I feel like these charges were just a cash grab and won't deal with them again.
GLEN LConsider anti skid material on the floor of the truck. It was very slippery in the cold with snow.
JOSEPH AKeep the trucks full up of gas, so that when the customer returns the truck it is not so hard to guess how much in $$ to bring it up to how full or not the tank was when you picked up the truck. Our truck only had 1/4 tank of gas upon pick up, when we took it back we returned it with almost 1/2 tank (its too hard to estimate with a tank of that size. It would be easier for all if it were full upon pick-up and return full. Also, who wants to pick up a truck and immediately search for a gas station to fill or add fuel.

Peter RI had a 26-foot truck booked at Fabulous Finds (Hebbs Cross, Nova Scotia) to pick up at 10 am on September 22, 2024. The truck was supposed to be waiting for me. As I pulled into the yard, no truck. The representative at Fabulous Finds contacted U-Haul and the representative when he checked, he was informed there wasn't even a truck available in the province (poor business). So he suggested that I drive from Hebbs Cross to Wyse Road in Dartmouth to pick up a 26-footer. He offered me a $50 voucher for my inconvenience, which round trip is 4 hours and the $50 voucher wouldn't even cover the gas one way (poor business). I declined on his offer. I had 6 people hired to help with the moving and no truck. So checking further he informed me that a 20-footer was available at OCR in Oakhill on Monday morning at 8 am, which I did reserve. Upon arrival at 8 am at OCR there was a 26-footer in the yard. I checked with OCR personnel and she said that the truck was available for Monday, September 23, so I did receive the truck and we got moved on the 23rd. OCR personnel were excellent to deal with and I would recommend them. U-Haul rentals need to change some of their policies, regulations, and their consideration toward the customer. Also, I feel that U-Haul needs more competition so they improve their standards. Gracias por tu tiempo. A reply to this email would be much appreciated.
PHILIP CIt was all good. I called the number on my email to change the drop off location as I did not know that Bridgewater had a u-haul location and the person was very accommodating. All round from start to finish it was a good experience.

JOHN RThe trailer could have been cleaner as I had to sweep. It out before use. Mechanically fine. Ali was great in dealing with the issues. Also, as U-Haul move my reservation to outside of Halifax, NS to a rep dealer, I had paid for a trailer hitch that is handled differently by the dealer which delayed my picking up the trailer for them to resolve the issue.

Brandon LNot the most pleasant rental experience; 1. The interior of the cab had not been cleaned in some time. A previous renter had spilled coffee all over the cup holders and the floor. The steering wheel was sticky from coffee?? 2. The cargo area had not been swept and I found a food wrapper stuck in the wooden tie rail (quite visible), with a best before date of Aug 21, 2021!!!! 3. The right front turn signal bulb was burned out which I reported upon returning the vehicle. My 'reward' - I WAS CHARGED $20 AS A BREAKDOWN CHARGE AS THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN THE SAME CONDITION AS I RENTED IT. OCR Equipment & Rentals would not do anything and said I should take it up with U-Haul. Lesson learned; if I ever rent from you I won't report any issues with the equipment. A less than satisfied customer!

MIKE Hthe van that i was given was full of dust and dirt inside the worst u haul truck i have ever rented, then i was charged for someone else mess i had to go buy a tarp to put on the cargo floor because i was moving mattress and chairs i always recommend u haul but not anymore,

Jijo JThey hit me with a cleaning charge when it was as clean as it was when I collected it. Not happy. I hired 2 trucks yet one got the charge and one didn't. As well as one got $30 fuel charge and the other didn't. Seems they can charge you whatever they want when you've left. Bad service and sneaky service. I want a refund of those items.

Darren WI would not recommend this location to anyone. This is my second bad experience with this location. Last time they charged me for the fuel, ended up cancelling the charges when I called the customer service. This time I rented the truck for 6 hours, booked for 8 AM, called in the store and staff booked for me. After an hour they called me back and ask me to change to 10 AM, because they don't have the truck. I agreed to change the reservation to 10 AM, even though the everything was pre arranged with my move. After I picked up the truck at 10 AM , I received a call from the store and asked me to return the truck at 2 PM, with in four hours, I rented it for 6 hours, informed the same to staff, but they want the truck at 2 PM. I returned the truck at 1 PM could not complete the job. Because everything was pre planned for 8 AM, but they forced me to change the reservation to 10 AM after booking. After I returned the truck they charged me 15 $ for cleaning. The truck was not clean when I received, and lots of rust, very old vehicle. Cannot trust this place anymore, making bad impression on U-Haul. Never go back or recommend to anyone.

William PInstall hitch jacks, it was to heavy for one, even for two person to lift onto vehicle hitch.
Bernhard GWhen I returned the trailer, I realized that the U-Haul technician who happened to be there and helped hook up the trailer used wrenches to tighten the safety chains connectors and without wrenches there was no disconnecting the trailer from the vehicle. I don't feel that wrenches should be needed to unhook a trailer.

bruce pThe equipment that I had booked with my rental was not in the truck, which meant I had to drive 40 minutes back home and then back to the Uhaul location when they were open to get the equipment. This all defeats the purpose of me doing the online check-in if I have to make two trips to get everything. The location has poor cell phone service, and although the building itself has wifi, you can not have the wifi connected to your phone over where the trucks are, so this means you can not take the necessary photos for the online check-in, because you are disconnected every time you go over to the trucks. This location was not my first choice, I had to change to this one because the truck I ordered was not available at the closer location to my house, so I had to drive further to get my equipment(multiple times). The lady working when I returned to get the equipment I rented then proceeded to tell me, "We don't check the online orders, we just put the keys in the box". I am not sure if she thought this was a comforting comment to make, however, it just made me more upset, I went through the trouble of doing the online order and early pick up for her to tell me they don't even check to see what I had booked, that is ridiculous!

Benjamin TMy only complaint is that, when dropping off the trailer, the location space is HUGE and there was no clear indicator where to actually put the trailer... which required a long walk inside to inquire about that. Other than that, Mark and LeaAnne gave great service!

Dave SThere is no wifi or data internet available unless you are right beside the building. When you return the truck the check in process wants pictures of kilometers used but you can't do this without internet.
Christine LOh, what I'm not happy with is that it wasn't clearly explained to me that I only had to put so much gas in the truck and we filled it and spent $110 more than we had to and your company is doing nothing to rectify that which is very unfortunate because the people that we got the U-Haul to use for had a flood and lost a lot of stuff and ended up having to pay $110 more than what was required this is very upsetting. I have never been to a company that requires you only to put so much gas in. Usually the tank is full when you take it and you fill it when you return that way you know exactly how much was used going off a metre and gassing how much gas to put in it doesn't seem like a very good way to do business .
Leanna WOne tire of the trailer was dull and had a nail in it. Once i put weight, the tire started losing air and the trailer started swaying. I had to stop every so often at a gas station and pump air and continue. Due to that i wasn't able to complete what i rented the trailer for.

Rickey NThe location that we picked up the rental from had such bad cell service that we spent a total of 35 min on pick up and drop off trying to upload pictures. And we had to dispute every picture on pick up because the pictures on profile must've been when the truck was new and not its existing condition.
