Starting fuel level was wrong (paperwork said 1/4 tank but it was showing empty actually lower than empty on the fuel gauge). Uhaul made some excuses. Then I put $280 fuel in the tank but it only showed 1/4. So the fuel gauge is not working properly. I called uhaul and asked what to do, nothing of value. After my trip, I returned the truck with approx $100 more fuel than when I picked it up... too bad. I got screwed by Uhaul and it's partners.Andrew K.
I have problems every time (3 now) I return equipment there. They have their hours posted WRONG on the U-Haul website and then try to charge for extra days, staff was rude and clearly do not know how to operate the U-Haul computer software very well. You need to simplify the process for them or provide better training on POS software.Roy M.
The return process, with all the photos that are demanded, is a pain in the ass. I guess you were getting customers saying the truck was in fine shape when it wasn't, but I felt as if you didn't trust me, and I've rented from you regularly.David S.

National traffic coordination service needs to be better coordinated with the local dealers for one-way bookings. Arrived at location under National's advice that a one-way trailer was available immediately for pickup, and none was had for pickup, wasted $100 in fuel and 3 hours of time.Donald K.

Had to go out of my way by an hour to get the truck. I realize that the May 1 weekend is a busy time for university students, but I booked a month in advance and could have been warned then, not three days out.Courtney C.
The booking process was very confusing. The only hours available for pick up on the booking site were midnight or 1am, Then I received a phone call telling me the location for pick up does not open until 9am, when in fact they open at 7:30am At the end, I had to call the pick up location directly to have the proper information, and just lodt my timeDominique D.

Location has horrible cell or data service, incredibly difficult to do after hours checking or out. Took 30 min. Could use a wifi setup? Other then that location is top notch.Matthew T.

It was incredibly frustrating to return the truck because the drop-off point is at the edge of a data deadzone so it took a long time to go through the online process. Otherwise it was simple and quick and a great customer experience.Maureen H.

trailer was very hard towing. inspected tires after leaving and they need to be replaced, tires are weather cracked and no longer road worthy, passenger side tail light needs repair, one section of the led tail light is not illuminating.ALEX E.

Ratings for agent: 5 out of 5 Rating for U-haul: 0 out of 5 Given that I dealt with one location (Hubbards, NS, which was excellent) to pick-up my truck, a 2nd location (Oakhill, NS, also excellent service) 50 km away from the truck location for the required equipment because no equipment was available at the pick-up location and a 3rd location (Renfrew, ON - who moved locations years ago but U-haul hasn't updated their system, excellent yet again) for drop-off, it is difficult to assign a single rating to multiple locations and service providers. I would STRONGLY recommend that U-haul update their reservation system to clearly state that they do NOT guarantee availability of a vehicle or equipment regardless of reservation status (needing to drive a 200 km route to multiple U-haul locations to pick up the items I reserved was a waste of time and money) and also to allow reviews of each service provider separately, which would allow a truer picture of the service level. While all U-haul agents I dealt with were great, the system itself is SO HORRIBLY flawed, that I would rather pay movers than EVER use their service again.Kim S.

By far the best U-Haul location I've ever visited (and there have been more than a few). Hate to say it, but the operators of the U-Haul facility on Coventry Road in Ottawa could learn a lot from the Oak Hill location, where the equipment was ready, check-in really quick and service extremely friendly.Arthur S.

We are a corporate account. My manager asked for a 1 day extension as the truck would not be returned on time. He was told â€œnoâ€ and spoken to rudely. I the owner of the company and I phoned and spoke to the same lady. She was snotty and rude I was told no and our changes would increase 50.00 for every bump and you were busy The comments were rude unacceptable Pleased you are busy. BUT so are we. Maybe we should solve both our problems and use another rental companyMaury D.

Wonderful people and great customer service, the trailer was ready and in good mechanical shape. I was disappointed in the way the invoicing was handled - over a decade out of date with current banking. - caused a deposit to be placed rather than a hold - and then a cash refund when the trailer was returned. I highly recommend that you examine how you handle billing and reservations. I give you four stars for quality and serviceMARK S H.

The street address is incorrect. The UHaul dealership has moved down the road. Please update the address. We returned the truck on Canada Day and the location was closed. We had to use the self check-inlink. Good location as you can easily see the UHaul equipment from the road. And there was plenty of room to park the truck.HOLLY ELLEN WEAR L.

I rented twice, once on Friday and once on Saturday. Friday- received a dirty 15' truck with a flat tire- on a time restraint to move and the customer service was absolutely miserable. We did end up getting a discount however I am Not impressed with the service Saturday we picked up a cube van, the back was full of pine needles from a Christmas tree, and when trying to return the truck with the online option we had difficulties and I assume we will be charged the $20 extra even though we attempted. Our first time using Uhaul here since moving from Halifax, we usually use enterprise, will be worth the hour drive to pick up their vehicle because in all the times we have rented, we have NEVER experienced a dirty vehicle, flat tire or poor customer service.Garett B.

Would have been nice to have been told about the after hours return procedure. My phone battery was dead when I returned the truck so I came back the next business day to complete the return. If I had known I would need my phone I would have made sure it was charged at the end of the moving session. Otherwise it was a positive experience.Robert C.

The dealer location was great. Get the truck I rented off the road or repaired. I don't know how much extra in fuel it cost me but sputtering/ missing up just about every hill was brutal. I kept praying it would make it to our destination.Kent H.
