The person at this location was wonderful. He was polite and very helpful. However, this location was 40 miles from where we requested pick up of the trailer and we weren't told that until the night before. The trailer itself had a tie down that was hard to fasten and in fact it came loose partway through the trip. Thank goodness we stopped and checked it and were able to re-tighten it before continuing on.

Patrick T.Before renting from Northwest sporting goods I tried to rent from northeast muffler. After arriving in Millerton at the proper time I was informed my rental was over an hour away in Kingston. I would appreciate a refund for that failed attempt.

Louise M.I have rented from Uhaul many times and I was disappointed with this location. I usually rent from your corporate locations. This place was different as I had to get the trailer. And I had to hook it up. And I had to put it back and unhook it. Very different experience then my past rentals. The person who helped me was more interested in helping his hunting and fishing customers than rental. Also I need to travel to another Uhaul store to get an appliance dolly that I reserved but northwest sporting goods didn't have. That was disappointing. Also the trailer had wet cardboard in it. I will be sticking to company locations for my next rental need.

Julian W.I rented the largest utility trailer with a ramp available, which was just wide enough for the cargo I wanted to load onto it. However, the ramp was narrower than the cargo bed, which was not clear when making the booking, and thus the entire trip was useless. Either make a utility trailer with a full width ramp or have better disclosures on your website!

mark L.Goodness gracious your online checkout experience was awful. It took 19 minutes of me sitting in a car for me to get checked out (and the “instant†chat took 15 mintues to respond). Beyond that, I never received the contract I was supposed to get, which I only realized when I went to return the vehicle and had no records of what mileage and gas level the vehicle was supposed to be at.

The owner sits in the back of the store where the guns are so he can watch Fox News or OAN and shout things like, “Not like these fuckin CT democrats trying to steal your guns†and “these fuckin libtards are everywhere†All while OAN is blearing images of the Jan 6th insurrection. Not to mention he has you sign the paperwork on the gun display case. During the use of the unclean, no 12v (lighter port), no usb for charging any devices including GPS! The check engine light comes on! I call the help number and was told that, “some times that happens†and “it Should be fineâ€. All things you want to hear when you're hauling you possessions to a new home. The return was even worse than the pick up. The owner was still in the back but this time he had a racist buddy with him. They were watching some movie on the TV this time. Not sure what it was but the scene I was blessed to see was involving someone being brutally murdered with a machine gun. I would Never in my life return to this location to rent a truck. Never. This location and its management/ownership may have soured me off UHAUL all together. If this is the quality of franchise owners associated with the brand. DO BETTER!
Chris G.The truck was clean and ready for pickup. The paperwork was handled efficiently. The truck did NOT drive like a van. I have driven 26ft UHauls before. This one was in dire need of a tune up and alignment. Thankfully I did not need to take it on a highway as our location/move was a short distance from the rental location.

I wish the rental counters I use back in the cities ( New Haven, New York, Boston) could have as good an attitude and deliver good service without hassle. The guys here are not “business as usual†They are just “as usualâ€
William R.Tell customers what type of gasoline the truck takes regular or diesel in it. Explain daily rate and flat rate mileage and cost more. Actually fix your app. I tried using it a few times and could not get it to work right or choose the right plan and had to call customer service for help.
