Greetings, I had reserved a u-haul from a Woodland, CA a few weeks prior to moving out of my apartment to ensure that I had a uhaul for my move out date. At that the time the Woodland, CA was the closet place to Davis Ca, where I live, that still had a u-haul available for me to rent. However, they canceled on me last minute and sent me to a location in North Highlands instead which is about an hour drive. Although, this was very out of my way and I was going to have to pay extra milage money, I needed the u-haul so I accepted the accommodation. Because the location was so far from me and there was a lot of traffic I was late to pick up the u-haul and on my way over I received a call saying that if I didn’t arrive soon they were going to give my u-haul to someone else. I believe that this is very unprofessional considering that the u-haul was already reserved for me and I was going out of my way to get it. I was scheduled to return the u-haul at 9 am the next morning however the apartment that I was going to move into was not ready when I arrived which meant the u-haul was going to be late. I called the u-haul place and explained my situation and asked if I could drop it off at a near by location instead of driving it all the way back to North Highlands. Not only did I not want to pay the extra charge that I would receive for it being late but I also wanted to make sure that the next person who needed the u-haul would get it on time. However I was told that they needed that truck to be back at North Highlands and if I did not get it there by 12 it would be a whole 2nd day charge. I did the best I could to get all of my stuff out of the u-haul and into my apartment, that still had wet carpet, to get the u-haul back before 12. However, because it took me a little more than an hour because of traffic to get it to North Highlands I received the extra day charge. Had they let me drop it off at a near by location I would not have been late.   Because of the accommodation that were made on my part I believe that I should not be charged for an extra day. I was already going to pay more than I initially planned by going all the way to North Highlands to get this truck. The extra day charge is unfair. I had to pay additional money for gas and I do not believe that I should be charged for the extra mileage fees. I was trying my best and it is not my fault that UHaul was unprepared.

Mobile check in was a joke. Way too long to load, pictures are too small to actually see if any damage on photo and took over 5 minutes for site to upload a single picture. Mobile check in took longer than it would have via live representative and left me way too frustrated with the entire experience. Uhaul needs to Improve their servers to handle the traffic of morning check ins.

Hannah was very rude her customer service will be the reason I will not return to this location. She was very rude and wouldnt take the time to listen, i was attempting to pay cash she was very dismissive and showed no customer relation skills. She stated that she was the manager and in charge and no one can go above her she told me call 1800uhaul and hung up in my face, I couldnt believe it. I called back and another representative made it right by explaining correctly and patiently how they had charged my card already and she didnt hang up in my face like Hannah did which was very rude. If Hannah is a manger she should be re trained on customer service values and service, thanks.

Customer service was absolutely horrible. So incredibly rude and disrespectful, the two females working inside had horrible attitude problems. I also ordered items online which were specifically noted on the website that they were going to be in the truck ready to go at the time in which I picked the truck up. They never gave me ANY of the items that I had ALREADY paid for, expected me to waste the gas to go all the way back there to pick them up, after being disrespectfully rude when I called to ask about their whereabouts. She said that I needed to say something when I went in to pick up the truck. I'm sorry but isn't that literally HER job?? To pull the online orders and make sure the truck is all ready to go by the time I get there at NOON? She had all morning, so I had to sit and wait for her to clean it out as well. Come on guys.. get it together or find different employees because I will never go back to this location.

Trailer reeked of cannabis. It was the only one available in town and was a substitute for the one I originally reserved. I had it for several days and left it open as much as possible but odor was still evident when I returned it.
