There was bickering amongst employees in front of me regarding how one employee incorrectly logged a previous customer's rental. The employee that showed me my rental truck was disgruntled that he had to handle U-Haul transactions. I was overcharged by this location for my rental but later it was corrected by a corporate customer service U-Haul employee.

Rachael K.I told the person I spoke with when I made the reservation that I needed a vehicle that I can load heavy equipments, one with a ramp or low enough so it would not be so hard to load them, instead I was given a van which is high and loading was difficult. Uhaul representative should understand the need of the customer or at least recommend another site that has such vehicle, instead of just giving the customer whatever vehicle they have and not understanding their need.
WILSA C.If UHaul partners with a 3rd party like Ace Hardware to handle things, there needs to be a better order of operations. This location locks it's parking lot upon closing, and therefore locked my car inside overnight when I returned the truck. I received no warning of this from Ace Hardware staff and still got charged for the extra miles I had to drive in order to get to work.

christine G.When I received the truck, it wasn't cleared out. There were 3 big and heavy wooden planks along with a ton of plastic wrap in the truck. When I went back to inform the rep, they took over 20min to locate someone to assist me. When someone finally assisted me, the guy said he can have one of the employees help me empty out the truck. ;(( I shouldn't be responsible for clearing a truck that was supposed to come clean! I was on a tight schedule so I ended up running very late. I'm a single mom moving everything on my own so it was already difficult enough. Also the gas tank was practically on E. I was informed someone would call me but no one did. Instead I was charged after being informed I would get discounted for the inconvenience.

The same person who went to get the blankets met me outside to show me which trailer to hook up to. Unfortunately I didn't check, and upon arrival at home and I began to load the China cabinet I realized the blankets were not in the trailer, so I had to drive back to pick them up. Added another 40 minutes to my evening.

When I took the truck to my house to load, the Cargo area had an old dresser and significant garbage. The smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. I had to unload the dresser and clean out the garbage before I loaded my own cargo.
