The customer service at this location was unprofessional. I was mislead about the additional charges and when I called to address my concerns about my invoice, the rep hung up on me. I will not be using this service in the future. I would not recommend it to any of my family and friends.

The pick up time promised was 12:15 pm but he gave me the cargo van at 2:15 pm which is like 2 hour delay. I would never recommend this location to anyone else

It was supposed to be an online check in but could not locate the vehicle as i had no idea it was parked at the back of the building. As the place was open I walked in to check in, it took 45 minutes to get the truck while my kids and wife were sitting in the car. He was the owner/operator. He said I could not have done online check in as the keys are supposed to be picked up only when the store is open. For some strange reason he has some issues with the reservation and also the credit card payments. I had to do it over and over at least 5 times, as if I was the very first person ever walked into the rental place. Also the display screen wire connection was very short and did not have much wiggle room. Did not look healthy during COVID time for me, specially when I had to do it again and again. He didn't know why it was happening either . Though I booked it was 24 hrs, he said they don't allow 24 hrs, but I was only able to get it as I had an online reservation. This contradicting information confuses me as a customer . I also want to mentioned in the past, Uhaul online reservation took me to a place that was not renting ( out of business ), for several months. I called to complain, and CSR apologized for the inconvenience. It is just one transaction in a million for U-Haul, but for me it is like going to the airport to check in and you find out that airlines was out of business for months . I was promised that I would get a voucher for compensation, but I never received anything and I was told by another rental place, that never happens . First off, the office was meant to open at 11am but the first staff member arrived at 11:15am. I had completed the check in online as I needed the truck ASAP. I did not leave the premises until 11:45am. Second, the inside of the truck was filthy. I would expect them to be cleaned thoroughly especially in a pandemic. Third, the tank was nearly empty which added unnecessary stress. I was in a rush, already late because of delay, so I was extremely annoyed with that. The gentleman helping me was nice and courteous but very slow.

This was the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had!!!! No courtesy, no customer service, and accused me of "Lying" about putting gas in the truck. I filled up the truck with more gas than it had when it was given to me. He literally said "I know you did not put gas in the truck". I will be going with another Rental company in the future!!!! unbelievable!! Disgusting behaviour, with way too long wait time, he did not even have any of the information I checked in online with, I had to do it all over again, uploading driver's license etc..

Worst service I have ever seen until now. I booked a cargo van, the van came 1 hour late, and the manager of the company seller came another 45 mins late. The transaction process takes only 5 mins, but took another 30 mins instead delibertly, not even considering how much I waited which was 2.5 hrs for a pre-booked cargo van. Also, I checked in online 1 day before but still had to go through the same process again. Never again booking from this location.

The provider's internet went down twice, which led to receiving the truck 43 minutes later than my reserved time. This is not a huge problem as these things happen. What was of bigger concern to me is that the air conditioning in the truck was not working and was blowing hot air. I called uhaul and roadside assistance came out to assess and repair. I was told by the uhaul representative that I might get a discount for the inconvenience, but I don't see any discount applied to my rental charges. I should also note that the roadside assistance provider who came out was absolutely amazing, but this does not negate the fact that the truck was not on acceptable working order for a move on July 31st.

My vehicle wasn't available as per my initial reservation and I had to drive 25km east to pick up an alternative. I was informed that the 2nd location would comply with my initial requested pick up time of 10:30am though the manager only arrived at 11:20am which pushed my day back an hour and resulted in my needing the truck longer the following day. I called the manager of the store to inform him of being late one hour and he addressed id be charged for the full day no option. This person took zero accountability for being late on the day of pickup nor did he adjust my reservation time as he was accountable for my set back. I will not rent from this location again nor recommend anyone to rent from here. Poor customer service.

Oveall 5/10 experience. Truck was not cleaned, Dash and interior where very dusty. Given we are in a pandemic situation, would have thought the truck would have been properly sanitized. Instead it was up to me to sanitize the truck. No visual inspection done when I picked it up so I had to take photos to cover myslef. Also had to wait over 30 minutes for the owner (or the guy who does the Uhaul rentals) to arrive when my pick-up was for 11:00am. Only one person knew how to do the Uhaul rentals and that was the owner. I got the truck , at the the end of the day, but the experience in checking out, etc, was not fluid at all.

The booking time is 11:30am, owner came at 12:05pm, pick the truck at 12:35pm, wasted a lot of time in checking in and also checking out. Very poor customer service, not recommendation to go at that office location. Thank you.

the trailer was not inspected prior to pick up, tires were not inflated correctly, and one tire was leaking air through out my journey. I could not use the unsafe trailer for my return trip and had to use CAA. First and unbelievably bad experience with vendor not to mention their customer service was horrible, inattentive and less than professional.

Most horrible experience of my life. Booked a reservation 2 days ahead when I got there no one was present at the location. So called the customer service and spend another 30min on the phone then agent hang up the phone 3 times and not willing to help. Finally, the last customer representative try to help the but the location owner did not care about his business nor he is professional with his customers. I will find another company next time.

The person was courteous; however, he was distracted and interrupted too many times during the transaction. He took personal calls and served other customers at the same time. He did NOT walk to the truck with me when he gave me the keys to confirm the condition, mileage, and fuel level.

This man had no customer service skill. Had to wait approximately 15 minutes for the personnel to attend to me. The van had a lot of snow covering it and the personnel didn't offer to clean off the snow. Had to ask for a snow brush to clean the van. When we returned the vehicle I was told that I had to wait because he was having his lunch and couldn't stop his lunch to attend to me.

The location was not staffed at the appropriate pick up time. The owner of the location was unhelpful and I waited more than 30 minutes for someone to give me the keys. I had to call the Uhaul customer service line to have them contact the agent to release the keys to me. There were no staff available to give me the keys even after I filled out all of the correct information online for my rental. The truck was the dirtiest Uhaul I have ever seen or been in. I submitted photos of the condition of the truck when I picked it up. The steering was loose, the brakes were soft and not very responsive. There was a metal plate in the box that was missing more than half of the fasteners and it felt as if I was going to fall right through the floor. I have had very good experiences with Uhaul in the past from some of the other locations and I will not be using this location again. We have just booked a cargo van for one month but we will be using a dealer that is further away because I know I will get good service from them.

The operator at this location was not there at the scheduled time. When I called him, he said that he was late because it was Sunday(Scheduled time) and that he was far away. In the end, he had the mechanics in the shop give me the key and photocopy my Visa and Driver's license. No instructions were given regarding the return of the vehicle. I was charged for insurance which I did not authorize or need. All in all it was very unprofessional and unsatisfactory experience.

They gave us a truck total mess, so dirty. As well we put enough gas, more than we received it, and after they charged CA$9.40 extra for gas, this is unacceptable I have a photo like a proof.

Guy wasn't there when we returned the trailer. We called and he told us it would be fine just take pictures. Next day, he charged us an extra day. Called him to have it fixed and his response was "ya ya it'll get fixed, don't bug me about it"

The guys was late for more than 35 mins and had to wait another 60 mins until he completes the transaction. And when i returned the truck I fueled it up, but he charged for the fuel another 20 bucks anyway. When i asked about why I'm being charged someone else came from the back and asked us to leave property. Worst ever customer service. This person should not be a dealer since he's damaging the face of uhaul.

I was billed over $130 more than I should have been because the Uhaul system thought I drove 122 miles when in reality the distance driven was under 20 km. Thankfully this Uhaul location helped me get a refund.

The owner was not there when I arrived at 10 AM. Worked out most things over the phone and with a mechanic at ~ 11 AM. Actual paperwork was not completed until I returned the trailer and there were additional charges I did not request, but was too tired to argue about. A motorcycle rental whic was quoted at $14.95 + HST ended up being closer to $30.00

I waited more than 30 minutes to get somebody to attend me in their office then another 30 minutes to process the necessary papers the owner doing something in between. Talking to other customer on the phone. I got the truck at 11am instead of 10am and he want me to return at 6pm that is 7 hours of moving time, my booking is 8hrs originally I negotiated for 8 but he do not have any consideration, I am very upset. I am a regular customer of U-Haul and no problem on other locations.

Did not get truck booked, had to get a bigger one that used way more gas. Truck was dirty inside front and back. Owner made me wait 30 minutes for him to get to me on returning. My Visa card was used fraudulently a few hours later.

Owner operator was late to show up for our designated pick up time. He was to be open at 10 am didn't show up till 10:40am. He was rude and not professional. Our original pick up location was changed to a different location which was further away from us and not as convenient. Was only informed of this change less than 24 hrs before our scheduled pick up time. Also our preferred pick up time was changed from 9am till 10 am when the new location was to be opened. Truck also had less fuel than indicated and had debris and garbage in cabin and box.

Owners like in this location bring shame to Uhaul. I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 10am, but the owner only showed up at 11:00am. I had to pay extra 200 dollars to 2 movers for 1 hour. Extremely unhappy with the whole experience at this location. Next time will rent a truck from Discount.

My reservation was transferred 3 times. Wasted my time going to the location and no one was there and the owner's reason is they are having a celebration on that day. I would not recommend using uhual even though they are very competitive but you get what you pay for.

Make sure moving Vans are cleaned before another customer rents and KM is noted correctly. I don't even have the time to call in and dispute the extra charges on the KM. I am better off renting from somewhere else or different location dive the guy took so long to cost the contract.

The only problem was that the office at 1285 Kennedy Rd.was not open on time:10:00 AM. The person came at 10:15 AM and he took a long time to do the paper work, did no t check the van. My husband left this place around 10:50AM.

I've used UHaul before, so I don't hold anything against the company. However, I had a terrible experience at the New Civic Autos Inc location. The owner told me I had to get the insurance or he would not let me rent the vehicle, which I later found out to be incorrect. He also put the wrong KM and Gas down on the contract, and had I not double checked when I entered the van, I would have ended up paying much, much more than what was in the contract. The van was filthy, it was not swept out at all, and had this weird odour. There is too much more to type here, and I plan to call UHaul to make a complaint against this location.
