I had to wait 30 mins after my reserved time to get my rental and the other gas station employee was rude and got into it with me verbally. The uhaul liason was helpful just late.

I heard they guy over the phone with the tone in his voice speaking to the attendant saying that the customer "which was me" submitted a complaint and its a big problem so just "refund refund refund" in other words they got caught trying to charge me twice and to give me my money back. I don't like bad business and they shouldn't have a uhaul dealer license if they going to be conducting business that way, and stealing people's money when I clearly paid for 24 hrs which is the whole day plus I know the extra miles kick in but getting charged a whole other day, that's not business, that's being a thief and they dont deserve to be handling uhaul trucks if that's how it's going to be conducted. Horrible experience never again address 279 S Little Tor Rd, New City, NY 10956.

Yisroel RHORRIBLE OVERALL EXPERIENCE! I booked a truck 2 weeks in advance, and I got an email with big nice green letters saying "reservation guaranteed". I obviously arranged my move around my truck pick up time, such as hiring hourly paid movers, and commiting to departure time from my previous place and arrival time to my new place, etc. However, less than 48h before my pick up time, u-haul sent my an SMS reminding me of my upcoming reservation for pick up at 10 am (not 8:30 as I scheduled, and they guaranteed). I must have spoken to 5 representatives including the location manager for a solution, but the best they could do is send me to pick up an available truck 45 min away, or give me a smaller one that would not fit my stuff. No apologies, no willing to help or accommodate, just mediocre answers. The manager was unable to answer to my question "why do you guarantee the reservations of you can not keep up?" He had an anxiety attack on the phone and transferred me to someone else. Finally, when I go to pick up the truck, the so advertised "pick from your phone, no lines" was a lie. Obviously the app didn't work, and there was a long line at the location counter of all the customer to whom the app didn't work either. The system was not working for the person behind the counter either, so he couldn't help customers either. I ended up getting to my truck almost an hour later from my pick up time. VERY UNRELIABLE COMPANY, HORRIBLE AND MEDIOCRE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN. DONT USE IT!

BAHA SThe truck had an issue with the key not turning in the steering lock. The person I returned the truck to complained that I cost him money by renting the truck for 3 days and only driving for 11 miles. He said that I rented his truck during his busiest time and that he could have rented out the truck 6 times and the truck would have been driven more than 40 miles each time. He was rude and used profanity while talking to me. This was a very unpleasant experience.

BAHA SI refused insurance he charged me anyway. When trying to start the van u had to keep trying to turn the key. It would take numerous attempts until it released and started. Spoke very poor English as did the guy who I had to deal with when returning van. Would not deal here again.
GLENALLAN WLocation was unprofessional. Tolls were charged without opportunity to contest anything. Really. Uhaul took away my chance to contest a charge. I will most likly never use uhaul again.

BAHA SIt took quite a while to get the vehicle out of the back where it was blocked by a van. Perhaps the van was rented and the person was late and it was supposed to be gone by the time my rental happened, but if not, then making sure that the vehicles are queued for easy access would help quicken the rental process further.
