Give customers advance notice if their rental(s) is not available. I found out a mere 16 hrs before my 8 am pickup time. Moving plans are often made well in advance, and a few days to a few hours is simply ridiculous. Will not use them again.Linda M.

Can you figure this out ? I turned in the vehicle with over a half tank full of gasoline with no compensation or credit given, while your documentation states only a quarter tank is necessary, etc, etc.I have a snap shot of fuel tank meter which shows less than a quarter tank ,,,,and also on form recieved only a half tank of gas was registered .,,,,I turned in more than half a tank of gasoline ,,,,Do you think this is honest and fair?Juan G.
Unfortunately the uhaul that I received had major failures, when I reached out to manager at location that made my reservation, he blamed me for not stopping mid trip and waiting for service to arrive, keep in mind I'm on a timed schedule to arrive to my location and also a time frame to return uhaul . I was very unsatisfied with my rental experience. I will not be using uhaul ever again.noel R.

This is by far my worst experience renting a Uhaul vehicle! I rented a truck june 24 friday morning at 9:30 am for 1 day but for unforseen circumstances with my move out we have to extend it for another day. I called their number the next day morning time around 9am to tell them that i will extend it for another day. I called like 3X and no one is answering with no messaging available on the other line. Then they called me around 1:30 pm demanding that i need to bring back the vehicle. I told him that i will have to extend for another day because we are still hauling. I dont know the name of the staff on the other line but he is totally unprofessional and demanding that i need to return the vehicle because someone is waiting and he is telling me that i will pay for the other guy rental if i dont bring the truck back right away. I told him i was calling them earlier to extend it but no one is anwering but he is not listening and keep blabbering like a he hate his job and throwing his frustation in life to customers like me. I told him that there is no way i can bring it back right away because i am only halfway done hauling my household goods. He just keep saying i need to bring it back right away that same day and just drop the phone on me. Very unprofessional with zero customer service! I know that i have to bring it back on morning of June 26 for 2 days rent but i was force to drop the vehicle on saturday of June 25 around 7 PM because of the nature of our conversation. He was threatening me that he will bill me for the other customer car rental who supposed to rent one that saturday noon time. Your staff have some serious anger issues. Not all customers are always on the level like me. Send him on anger management training before it gets worst and met his match the next time!Jimmy A.

Unfortunately, the shop opened an hour late. Then when I was driving away from the shop, the truck stopped on the middle of the street. This was very dangerous. It was out of gas. I had to wait for the employee to come and bring me gas. Then when I was done with the truck, no one was in the office and it was about noon. I hope I get a refund on the equipment I used - Dollie's, Etc. ShaughnShaughn L.
Truck was dirty. Alignment was way off and truck pulled to right. Had to drive 1 hour to get truck after our reservation was moved. When we arrived the truck wasn't there and had to come back 6 hours later. Wasn't locations fault.Ryan W.

There was some confusion on the truck size we order and the location we were supposed to pick it up at. We order a 15 from one location two weeks before we needed. The day before our reservation date they said we only have a10 foot one at the location but a 15 foot at another location. Many emails phones calls frustrating but we finally got what we needed where we needed it and the size we needed.Marion B.

Truck was rented to me with only 12 miles left in the gas tank. Cabin wreaked of cigarette smoke and was dirty. My appointment was originally set for 10AM pickup then moved to 3PM at â€œUhaul of Oxnard.â€ Upon showing up at 3PM no truck was available. Had to go to another location (Montgomery Storage) and had to wait outside while workers were at lunch for an unspecified amount of time.Joshua B.

There was a problem with the communication or lack thereof between the different locations. I dropped off the truck the same day I picked it up and was still getting calls 2 days later askng me where the equipment was, even though I was given the drop off location by the pick up location!!!EVA R.

The van was fine and the customer service was excellent, Jonathan was great to deal with. However the record keeping and due diligence was, for a second time, lacking. On my first use of Montgomery storage I was originally overcharged because when closing out the contract before me on the vehicle, they put in the wrong mileage (using the "out" mileage for both out and in). I was able to explain this to them and the overcharge was refunded. This time, after returning the vehicle on the same day, even dropping off the keys to the clerk personally, I never receive my email receipt. Over the next 9 days I received 4 different calls and an email asking when I planned to return the van (which I had returned already). I explained the situation to each caller, and wrote out all the details in an email response, but still kept getting calls. Finally one of these callers gave my information back to Montgomery storage, who called me to straighten things out. According to him, someone has allegedly called the day AFTER I returned the van, claiming to be me, and told him my "sister" had stolen the van. I wondered if maybe the next person to get that van did this, but I couldn't understand how someone would be able to rent the same van and get the key from them without my initial contract being closed out. I told Montgomery storage all the details of when I returned the van, what the mileage and gas was when I returned it, and even gave him the vehicle's ident # from the sticker on the dash (I had taken a picture just before initially taking the vehicle, so I could remember my starting mileage and gas level). He went to research what happened and I'm guessing it got straightened out, because I received my receipt shortly after. However, the mileage marked on my receipt, while the total miles were accurate, the actual recorded miles on the vehicle did not make the one I used (starting at 861, whereas the vehicle I used started at 1807). All in all, even though both situations were resolved properly, given both lackluster experiences, and several other rental houses available in the area, I doubt I will be returning to Montgomery.John G.

Computers were down and we had to wait for them to come back up in order to get our reserves truck. One of the tires and a screw in it and we were told by the really nice guy who helped us, that it should be okay to drive. He took a picture to document it. We had to leave a deposit that we did not know about so they took it out of our debit card/bank account. It was on hold now until the bank re deposits it.Michael V.

It would be nice if he gave people their IDs back at the initial pickup or at least called us as soon as he realized so we didn't have to drive 2hrs to go back and get it and 2 hours back home. Extremely disappointed but he was nice and accommodating when the 1-800 uhaul number rerouted our pick up locaton 2 times because they kept sending us to locations closed for Memorial day.jennifer R.

The staff was friendly and efficient, and the location was very bright and clean. I can't say the same about the truck, though. The inside had a lot of dirt and the steering wheel was greasy. The bed had not been cleaned after the last use. I've rented trucks from U-Haul in the past, but none have been this dirty!Helene B.
