Very messy place and the broken English was hard to understand. The complain i had was ignored as the teller and manager on the phone talked back and forth in another language. I paid the extra and again felt that it was a Just tough for you attitude towards meRichard P.

I returned three different trucks to this location over the span of about 5 days. All three times there was an issue with returning the trucks. Yet, the trucks were returned cleaned out, gas filled properly and turned in early every time. Each time checking in took at least 20 - 30 minutes. Really, how long does it take to take a picture of an odometer and compare the gas gauge? In fact, I took the picture two of the times, which caused It to take LONGER. What? I tried to cancel and rebook the third rental, but there wasn't any availability at other companies at such late notice. Bottom line, I will likely never rent from UHaul again due to this terrible return experience EVERY time.Clement L.

Vehicle barely pulled like transmission was going out and was jerking like someone used bad gas. It was clean, but it took me forever to get moved with the gears not changing out. I can honestly say, I think I'll try another company in my future.Latesher F.

This was the 2nd location I had to drive to in order to get a Uhaul, even though I was scheduled to have one ready for pick up at the first location. My original Uhaul wasn't available when I went to pick it up. I waited an hour at the location and called at least 5 different phone numbers, but the office was empty as if no one had been there all day. I was told by Uhaul that my only option was to drive an hour away to pick up a different truck. Uhaul should choose more reliable partner locations so that their customers don't have this same experience. I was extremely frustrated that my original truck was not checked in by the location I was retrieving it from (Precise Business Center in Homewood, AL), but I was scheduled to move in to my new apartment the next day so I had to drive an hour away for the only other available truck (I was told there were no other comparable trucks within 30 miles and given no apology for the inconvenience and poor service). That's not how customers should be treated when the situation was entirely Uhaul's fault.Dustin Y.

I picked up my truck from here which was a gas station. There was no Uhual sign anywhere and I thougth I was in the wrong place. I asked the counter person if this is where I pick up a Uhual truck, he gave me a number to call (I was on a time constraint since traffic and distance was far from the original pickup location). I called but nobody answered and I had to leave a message. 5 mins later someone called me back to go over the reservation and told me to go back to the counter cashier to get the key. After starting the truck and drove 5 feet, the low tire pressure light came on. Luckily that same gas station had an air tire pump which I had to scramble to find quarters to use. There was one tire (passenger side rear) that was at 60 PSI instead of 80 PSI. I tried to use the air hose but it would not fill that tire for some reason (defective stem) because other tire I could use. So, I borrowed someone's 12V tire inflator and managed to add 10 PSI to that tire. I called back the Uhual person and the he told me that go to the trailer location (1024 Montgomery Hwy) and those people will have equipment to fill the tire. I went to pick up the trailer and told the guy there about the tire and he flat out ignored me and asked if I knew how to hook up the trailer.I stated that I did not and he said it's going to cost $25 cash to do so which I obliged since I didn't know how to do it. But I could have sworn that I read that they would check your load but wasn't sure if they would hook it up for you or not. This was one of the worst experience with Uhual for me to date.Monchai C.

the turn in location in Montevallo was a sad excuse for a associateâ€¦they did not bother to assist with the disconnection of the trailer, so I had to use my vehicles Jack and a block to drop the trailerâ€¦JOEL M.

We called UHaul to confirm our 120 blanket reservation would be available the next morning. When we arrived on the day of the reservation, they had no idea what blankets we were talking about. Once we finally got through to the person who could help us, she told me she actually couldn't help and that it was on me to call around to various locations to see who had enough blankets for us. Later in the week we went to pick up the truck. When we got there, the truck was there but the keys could not be located. After an hour, they realized the keys were in the after-hours lockbox they didn't know they had.JARED H.

Your company needs to improve how you are contacting your customers. You need to have your company name show up when you make your courtesy calls. We had an issue with our reservation, our reservation was changed to a different time and further location without our knowledge because we didn't realize that your company had contacted us, the number that y'all use need to say Uhaul so that customes won't think it's spam, we were very inconvenienced with the change and it costed us a 2 hour delay,Cortland R.

Attendant didn't know how to process a drop-off & tried to charge me again. Also, they didnt know how to make the jack work to unhitch the trailer. I felt like I was an inconvenience for them. They definitely need a U-Haul trained attendant there.Linda S.

I checked in online because it was supposed to be a faster process, but it was still asked to do the things I did online. Also, I requested an appliance dolley and utility dolley and these items were not at the location. I was charged before I left the pick up location instead of when I got back causing me to have 2 different transactions to my bank account.Angela S.

The employee working was very nice. I had everything done online before the pick up date but it still took almost an hour to pick up vehicle. The employee evidently was working by herself and if any other customers came into business I was put to the side until she finished with them. A minimum of 10 people were put ahead of me. I purposely did the paperwork ahead of time to save time. If this process was intended to help in expediting the process it failed. Also in checking on vehicle I did not realize I needed to check every nook. At a glance I thought vehicle was clean but in reality empty drink bottle were left in door pockets, popcorn pieces left on floor. And the cab reeked of cigarette smoke. I am a non smoker. If it had not been for the fact that I drove from Dothan then picked up truck (btw the only rental vehicle there), and at this point was already behind on time due to the prolonged process, I would have demanded my money back or an alternate vehicle.michele P.

The service was terrible. The communication between customer and representative was awful. The information was incorrect. They told us something that was not true and then they wouldn't take back the truck. They never told us a drop off location and a time when it had to be there. They are also trying to charge me extra. One person said $39 for an extra day. The other person that was giving us trouble was trying to charge us about $56. They said we needed to call the closest U-haul facility. The prices were very cheap compared to a lot of others. U-haul is an excellent business it was just the customer service was terrible.Tristan J.

Area that the trailer was to be parked was flooded. Needless to stay, I ended up with wet feet. Had to disconnect trailer with no jack and by myself.L J B.

Upon returning the truck, the provider began processing my return. I was asked and provided to take a picture of the truck's mileage and fuel amount. The provider never looked at the truck herself. While processing the return, I had to step aside and wait as the provider kept checking out all new customers coming into the store. I finally got tired of waiting on her and told her "thank you, have a nice day" and I left the store. I hope I never have to deal with this store and it's employees again.Randal F.
