The truck drove badly as if transmission was going out. Was charged for insurance despite denying it, then called and was told it would be removed, it wasn't. When I asked why it was 58 at first, was told I was estimated at 20 miles. Made no difference, I went 7 miles and was still charged 56 in the end. With fees.$5 for idk what.

Customer service was horrible! When my brother in law walked in he wasn’t greeted in a polite way the clerk said who are you and what do you want?? Really????? So let me enlighten you! When a customer walks in the door it usually means we are there to either 1 pick up a rented item or 2 we are requesting help with an item! Manors needs to be thought at that location for sure. Ohh and by the way why are you asking for a reference from another person? when an order has already been place with a credit card number wondering if I’m going to bring back your equipment was stupid! You have my CC on file duh I’m going to bring back your equipment that was totally uncalled for. No more U-Haul for me I will seek your competitor, I’m done with you guys.

This was the best Uhaul experience I've had this year and I have used at least 4 different locations since March 2019. The owner was polite, courteous and prepared. Very smooth rental day.

There was no one there at first. He finally did come out of the garage and said we could do self service. I had paid for an appliance dolly that was not on the truck. When we asked about it, he seemed very put out. He said I needed to pay an additional 10.00, which I had already done through the app. He began to argue with me saying that no I didnt, uhaul made him collect it. When I said , no it was on my receipt, he became kind of aggressive. He then called Uhaul and verified that I had indeed paid for it. He never apologized. Now I have a 30.95 charge from the place taken out of my account in addition to the 60.95 that I have already paid....with no explanation. Not happy at all.

The Berry Blvd U-haul is my go to spot. I have rented from Dave at this location for several years even though there are locations closer to where I live, and I've never had any problems, issues, or situations. In fact, he has gone out of his way to make sure I got the truck that I needed when I needed it.

He lied and charged me for gas and a cleaning fee. I don't not recommend this location ever!! I do recommending using uhaul they saw he was not honest and refunded me the false fees I was charged!! Thank you uhaul still my go to moving company!

Pretty bad experience. Back alley type of set up located in a garage. Hot with no A/C. Bunch of junk all around you. I scheduled pick up for 3. The employee called at 2:40 and told me the other customer was running late and would be there at 5. Arrived at 5 (after they closed) I get out of the car and introduce myself and he yells “I TOLD YOU I’D CALL YOU!” Not to mention he made of bunch of derogatory comments from the time I called until the time I returned my uhaul. Asking me did I have a regular card or a “hooptie card” in reference to my debit card. Which told him I bank with chase. He acts all irritated from start to finish and tells me at closing that he only makes about $15 a truck when people rent out. I would not have used this location had it not been the only one who rented me a truck this weekend. Besides that the truck was clean from what I could tell.

I think the price is to high...charged me $100.00 plus .99 cents a mile and charged me for gas...i think thats a rip off for low income people.thin they call me and tell me i owe $53.00 more..that is bogis and ill never do business with u.haul ever again

This wasn’t the original location that I was booked at, originally it was at the 7th street food store location but the U-Haul wasn’t there, the store owner wasn’t very concerned that the previous renter hadn’t returned it but ended up calling U-Haul customer service to get me another U-Haul. Ridiculous situation to say the least but it ended up working somewhat out but not without a ton of frustration.

Took forever to give us the Uhaul. Wanted to chat chat chat. Didn’t understand what he was doing. Told us we didn’t have a scheduled drop off point when we did. Asked for our licenses when he didn’t need them because they were already in the computer, he just had trouble finding them. On a busy moving day when people are lined up to help you, you really don’t want to have a chat when you need to pick up a truck.

They didn’t have my furniture pads or the dolly I had paid for in the truck. They were closed so had to find another truck rental company to get the dolly and furniture pads. We also had to call U-Haul because the code they gave us to get the key didn’t work. Then we hired movers from the U-Haul website who didn’t show up and charges my card which funds weren’t released until today.

I’m extremely disappointed with my uhaul rental. I needed the 26’ truck and even though I was able to reserve it online Uhaul corporate called and said they had none available. The smaller truck cost me more money because I had to take 2 trips instead of 1. On top of that I also did early check in online and even though I took the time to have my personal information secured, the gentleman at the facility ( although extremely polite) used his cell phone and captured pictures of my drivers license. This is extremely insecure and now I will end up having to stay on top of potential identity theft. Uhaul needs to get with the times and communicate inventory and security concerns better.

Please have the customer service acknowledge that the renters have a schedule to maintain. Nobody cares about the issues that u haul are going through. This man talked about everything under the sun. We were late getting to our mover's due to this chattiness. I like to talk as well but not too much. Also we couldn't even get our money back from the deposit because the guy had to leave at 12. We have never dealt with this EVER from this company. We will definitely be looking for a new rental truck service. After booking a time and place, the truck was not there. We had a horrible experience and don't want to patronizing this type of business again.

Mr LeGrand was extremely helpful. I had reserved a trailer, and during the inspection we noticed issues with the lights. He went well out of his way to help me get things working, from calling other u hauls to see if they could troubleshoot the issue, to contacting third party mechanics, checking my wiring and eventually helping walk me through fixing it! I cannot speak highly enough about him. He truly went above and beyond and I look forward to doing business with him again in the future.

The agent at this location was very nice, helpful and saved our night!! When doing the online pick up, the person I was chatting with, Kristen if remember well, told me that the second driver, Fran Herbe, needed to be there to pick up the truck. First, I never saw that information while booking, then, I told the person that Fran wasn’t there with me. While I was typing more, telling that fran could join me in 5 to 10 minutes, Kristan said that she couldn’t do the renting without Fran, told me to come back later and just STOPED THE CHAT ON ME! WHILE I WAS TYPING TO FIND A SOLUTION! I couldn’t finish my message that Kristen had already closed the chat! 5 minutes or less, Fran arrived, I then tried to do the pick up again, the website wasn’t letting me anymore and was telling me to come back later. It was past 10pm, if I rented the truck at 10pm it was for a reason, I couldn’t later! And I wasn’t going to go home, wait and come back later because Kristen was rude and expeditious! So I started calling the customer service, I spent more than 15 minutes with no answer! At this point I was getting very frustrated and disappointed by the service! Lucky us, the agent, Mr LeGrand I believe, arrived at the location at this point. He knew my name before I even started talking to him, asked me if everything was okay. After I told him the story, he told me to hang up the phone and that I will take care of us. Thanks to us him the problem was solved very fast and efficiently when I probably would have spent an hour on the phone to try to get my truck!!! Very disappointed by how the person on the chat treated me. Then today, when I brought back the truck, Mr LeGrand was there again. He asked me if everything went okay and if I was happy with the truck. He offered to do the check out for me, but I was already far in the mobile process. I guess I can say that thanks to Mr LeGrand my first experience with U-haul didn’t go as bad as it started.

The windshield had a crack in it. The mirrors were loose which caused blind spots while driving. My contents were soaked when I got to my destination so I am assuming that a water check was not done on the truck before I rented it. David was very friendly, but I would recommend getting the truck looked before other people rent the truck.
