I have rented uhauls from this location before, and the customer service is always top tier. Great people. However, the prices are far too high, and I will never rent from uhaul again. The vehicle would not get over 2 bars of fuel economy for normal driving, so I had to refuel the truck far too often. The mileage charge was far too high. We moved to a new location in town, had a 3-4 day rental and the mileage charge was almost $500 extra on top of the rental. When I tried turning the vehicle in via the app, I could not get passed uploading a picture of the gas/mileage. I turned the vehicle in with extra gas as well.

john hHad purchased tow with insurance coverage for car. While driving had to continuously pull over and tighten wheel strap. After 100 miles removed car from tow thinking it was hooked up incorrectly. Found out the metal clip was missing two bolts required to hold it in place. Had to have passenger drive the car and since tow couldn’t be used. Didn’t call for assistance since it was dark outside and not populated area. Hoping to be refunded for the cost of the tow, insurance and gas finds to have car driven instead of being able to tow it.
Lace-Ann PU-Haul should do better on ensuring locations have blankets and other supplies I ordered but had to do without because they had none when I picked up. Service was very good there, was just disappointed the supplies were not there.

Jimmy AThe staff was friendly and on top of things, managing the rentals well and expecting me at the time I listed. I'm more or less a regular, and the process of repeat check-ins is simple and uninvasive. The Auto Transport trailer had some damage that was not visible in the confirmation photographs, and I noted that the left tail lamp didn't work (turn signal was fine) and one of the ramp straps on the right side was frayed and nearly broken. These aren't big complaints from me, but might scare off some others.
Daniel GThe car trailer performed as needed. Unfortunately when we loaded up the car the rear chains for the rear axle were missing. Had to scramble to locate straps to secure the rear of the car for transport. Next time I will be looking for them.
WAYNE KI was charged for feul I did use. Truck had 1/2 tank when i got it, i returned it with 1/2 tank and they charged me for 17 gallons. They also insisted I use a different truck than the one I was sent via text from U-Haul. Never signed anything. Shady operation !!!!

Gary MThe engine/transmission light was on in the truck. It ran OK and we didnt have an issue as we drove less miles than planned... I would have been concerned if we needed the truck for a long haul. I have picked up and dropped off many times at Monettes...they are good and reliable.
Andreas SKeep doing what Monettes Grocery is doing. Multiple people helped me, and all of them (Jonathan was one, if I remember correctly) provided excellent, efficient and exceptional customer service. U-Haul's 800 number needs improvement. I had a problem with calling the 800 number to get a drop-off location when I arrived. I was on hold for so long that I gave up and called Monettes Grocery and asked if I could drop it off there. They said yes so I dropped it off. The next day I noticed that my U-Haul app was not showing the trailer as returned. I first called the 800 number and had to wait so long again that I gave up. I then tried to chat with U-Haul and typed in that I had dropped off but it was not showing as such and asked for help with it showing in U-Haul's system. Someone replied on the chat , but then they said I was cut-off. Don't know what happened. I then called Monettes and they confirmed the trailer had been checked in and emailed me a receipt. They saved the day again! I later received a voice mail and email from U-Haul telling me to drop off at a different location and not acknowledging I had already dropped off or responding to the question I had typed in the chat. U-Haul chats, 800 number and related customer service needs improvement.

mike aThe only improvement I could suggest is the ability to pay cash on site, rather than requiring payment via card over the telephone. It's a bit concerning having to read off your credit/debit card number aloud for unknown ears to hear.
daniel gTruck cab was dirty to include cup holders and floor. Used vape located in the truck. Truck cab smelled horrible like cat urine to the point you could not drive with windows up making the A/C useless. Upon return to the pick up location the desk staff could care less. I will not use again.

Gregory MIt a scam. Uhaul advertised this truck at $29.95 a day. I rented this truck for 24 hours and it cost me with fuel, over $200.0O ( with fuel). Never again!

Randy COnce I arrived at my destination, I contacted U-Haul per the instructions in my rental contract. I was directed to a drop-off location in East Rutherford, NJ which I went to, but I received a text message from U-Haul an hour later directing me to drop off the trailer at a North Bergen, NJ location. It seems there was some confusion on the part of U-Haul, and I recommend that this be corrected to avoid future issues. Other than that, this was a good experience.
PAUL ANothing. Took less than 5 minutes to drive away in my rental. I wait longer in line to check out from a grocery or similar store. Check out was even faster. Very courteous staff. Monette’s is the best.

raymond sI did not add gas, as I only drove 11 miles, 5 of this was with it loaded—about half full. I was charged $20 for 4 gallons of gas. I did not use the A/C, half the distance was 55 mph, the other half 25-45 mph. In my view, this is intentional overcharging, and UNACCEPTABLE.
Walter DThe truck was dirty and on empty. I was told If I returned it with 1/4 tank I would be refunded $40. That did not happen. The place I picked up/returned the truck was not the best place and let's just say, I'm glad it was before dark. The person was pleasant enough but not very engaging and appeared to be shocked that I was renting a truck in that area. The customers in the store looked at me as if I did not belong and I was extremely uncomfortable. I will not be renting from this area again.
