It wasn't until I was almost at the location I got a text and a phone call to go to another location and that it was the closest/ only location to get it from. I would like my $50 guarantee because it wasn't the location that booked the appointment
ANDREW AI recently had an unfortunate experience renting a truck from U-haul/Mitchells Food Mart, and I have to say, it was quite disappointing. In fact, it turned into a complete disaster. To begin with, the truck was not in the best shape when I received it. It was clear that the previous renter was a smoker, as the cabin was filled with ashes. It makes me wonder if the vehicle was cleaned at all before it was given to me. But that wasn't even the worst part. The left front tire was in terrible condition. It was so worn out that the cords were coming out, making it incredibly dangerous to drive. I only realized the extent of the risk when I encountered heavy rain on the road. With low visibility and the truck slipping and sliding, it was truly nerve-wracking. I only discovered the worn-out tire after the rain stopped and we did a walk-around. This not only made the journey unsafe, but it also left me questioning the integrity of U-haul/Mitchells Food Mart. Despite the obvious dangers and the fact that they kept all of my money, they didn't seem bothered by the condition of the vehicle they rented out. Fortunately, I had the foresight to take photographs of the truck's condition before taking possession of it. This proved to be crucial in preventing the store from blaming me for the mess. However, I can't help but feel disappointed and frustrated that I had to go to such lengths to protect myself in this situation.

Mark AThere was one person at this location, and she was also managing the store. The lady said, oh this trailer is stuck in the mud. The front part of the trailer was halfway buried in sand and mud. She couldn't move the trailer and did not know how to attach it. After it was hooked up I asked her "do you know how this piece works?" And she walked away and said, "I have to be back in the shop."

andrea cHi and hope all is well. When we arrived to pick up the truck it was not ready. Apparently, the location change was not relayed to the authorized U-Haul partner. The U-Haul partner had my reservation as a 24-foot truck rental for 12-30-22 and I ordered a 10-foot truck for 12-29-22. We had to wait approximately 30 - 45 mins for the rental truck to be ready. Suggest in the future that the truck rental order be verified before picking up by customer. Gracias

Eugene SThe person who helped connect the trailer (it was Sunday and he clearly didn't know how to hook up the lights) said my truck had an issue causing none of the lights to work. I took it anyway. The next day when I investigated further it was obvious it had been plugged into the wrong place. I fixed the problem and drove off greatly relieved.

nader iThe clerk had no idea how to check in a U-Haul. He kept asking me for the keys to the open top ramp trailer I was turning in. Then I was charged an extra day even though I dropped the trailer off on the day my contract stated, during business hours. I did note that the trailer turn in was listed at a full 2 hours after I dropped it off though. Worst experience with U-Haul...ever. If Mitchells Food Mart is an option for drop off, drive to the next available store and avoid the heartaches.

SHERLINE MOnce again nobody check the fuel, There was no place to park the vehicle, it took over a day to receive a receipt, nobody counted the returned blankets
Joshua SI returned the truck within 24hrs. The Personnel did not check the gas nor mileage. I did not receive a receipt the following day but received a warning for a late charge. I had to contact Uhaul for assitance
Bryan SZebulon rd was my 2nd destination but they were very helpful. My first destination after traveling over 1 1/2 to once I got there after during reservation over the phone with a young lady the 1st location didn't have a reaservation for me at all so I was then sent to Zebulon.
