The apparent manager was absent, unhelpful, rude and unprofessional, and used my personal information to send an insulting message. Go anywhere else for a rental.

John BSpent more than 20min trying to connect using app to finish the rental process, sending copies of drivers license, having someone call my spouse to verify me, then calling support because the app didn’t show which lock to try and open to get key to van as well as the missing code to unlock the pad lock to get key to get van. More of this should b allowed to be done days in advance as opposed to the day of rental.

Dominic GI pulled into the main parking lot. The guy came out said he scanned in the trailer has checked in and told me to park across the street which I did next to the other trailers. And then, every other day I was getting emails from U-Haul claiming I didn’t return the trailer. I had to call customer service four times to attempt to rectify. Finally, they claim they see it checked in but the other location in Michigan City on Franklin Street tells me they can’t find it. Miserable experience.

David HI originally rented the equipment for one day. The order was placed for a location close to my home. I was contacted by a uhaul rep who informed me the equipment was not available at my location and gave me a new pickup location. The new location was far from my home. the location for my pickup was on a saturday and for a one day rental. the facility is closed on sunday when I was going to return. The guy who worked at the pickup location was very nice and informed me that although they were closed on Sunday, I can return any time that night. He further stated there are camera's on site so they can see my return that night. After everything was finished, the following day (Monday) I get a receipt in my email for over double my agreed amount. They claim they go by the camera time stamp and charged me for two day rental. I would think that when the return is for a day when the facility is closed, I should not be charged for two day rental. I did not need the trailer for two days. I will be filing a complaint with BBB and my credit card company.
Michael WThe woman (believe her name was Melanie) was truly AMAZING! Her care for the transaction and wanting us to smoothly check in and be on our way, along with making sure we fully understood all aspects of the contract were EXCEPTIONAL. She went above and beyond, for sure. Dealing with someone who cares so much about what she does is always a treat. A GEM!

Madalyn CClean equipment - truck had half full cigarette pack in the cab and trash from what looks like 2 moves in back (broken household items and event pyrotechnic orders taped to the wall) Maintenance - truck received completely empty (don't you charge people for this so you can fill it up before renting it?) Oil change light is on Low coolant light was on (it's cool, I filled it for you so I wouldn't overheat halfway to the destination) Read your orders before putting truck out. Dolly's we're not in truck as promised by U-Haul. Don't call people because they're taking pictures of a truck before taking it. You should always do this to protect yourself against false claims of damage.

Natalie FBill ended up being higher than expected. Fuel charges when fuel was left at same level as when rented. Overall though, smooth checkin/checkout experience and owner was very pleasant.

John nlet customers know about 24/7 pickup procedure of having 2 contacts that U haul will be calling to confirm who is picking up truck. When U haul called my wife did not answer as she did not know who was calling.

Dawson Mhr drove it 3 miles truck broke down when I got to my house.. waited 3 hrs rosf side help no one showed up finally got truck to go in gear drove another 3 nikes yo take it back and was charged $70.00
Thomas PWhen I called the man told me 160.50 when I went to pick up they charged me 175.00 Then the car was on a quarter tank and said I was under on gas and charger me 28 for 3 gals when I was on a quarter tank or it need maybe $5 more
