Workers didn’t know anything they were talking about. Told them it was an 4 door then they asked the next question if it was a regular or extended cab… Attempted to rent a tow dolly and was told my 3/4 ton diesel truck wasn’t big enough. The only option I was given based on the vehicle being hauled was a trailer. Vehicle ended up being 8 inches too long for the 12’ trailer…. The

Chris MThere was no one at the desk during working hours. They had a phone number to call and it took 5 phone calls within a 2 hour span to get ahold of someone. We tried the online checkin but it wasn’t working because of poor cell service. It was a mess trying to check the truck back in. We had the truck there a day early and I am still not sure what time they checked us our truck back in.

Charles BCheck out time was long. Technology was slow. Otherwise satisfactory. Attendant was very pleasant In fairness, my phone charge was very low which was a hindrance because ID had to be scanned via personal cell phone.

Jerry DIt just takes a lot longer to do all the paperwork here to rent from U-Haul. The process should take less than 10 minutes with all the electronic means that we have today! Much faster at other businesses and brands.
Paul WThe people that had the vehicles were not great. I got there and all they had was a 26 ft, we needed a 10 and so I took it and needed to get gas right away and did and ran into the people that had the 10ft and came back to the location and waited to get into the 10ft but they said they would not reimburse me the gas I had added, becuase they had to back out of the sale and move me to the 10ft. So not happy that I put $53 into a tank and never got it back. Also they said I had to return it with the same amount in it and when I filled the tank it was hard to tell how much that was and when I asked the lady about not returning it full and getting it full to make it easier, she said they just don't do that....so out more money. I have told people in the community NOT to use them EVER until things are changed. I am VERY disapointed. not sure i will use Uhaul again
Heather MThe binders needed lube, the process takes way to long now days, all online and way to long for completing registration and completion. People were very polite and equipment was in order, however the binders on the dolly were very difficult to use and made for a chore that should not be the case.

keith mRental place was a remote ish location so I was left on my own to check out truck and clear snow and ice. ”Northern Michigan” it’s expected and I don’t fault the business with that considering it was a small town motel with a side business. The management there was great. It’s more or less expected up there from my experience. Truck was “clean” but smelled like someone ate a ashtray and passed it inside the cab, smelled so bad I had to drive with the window down, I know it sounds dramatic but it was really bad. I had to buy air freshener at the closest gas station. February is cold with the window down. Truck ran poorly and felt like it had a out of balance drive shaft or something, not a mechanic but going over 55 didn’t feel safe, the truck would shake and yes the load was balanced. I raised the issue with the drop off location. I have driven probably over 5k miles in my life and thousands of dollars in uhaul trucks and and this was was my worst experience, and I have done runs of 1300+ miles at a time. I moved a lot as military. Sadly, I will definitely look for other rental companies in the future even though I have over 20 years of rentals with uhaul. Drop off location was fine and they were very efficient in checking the truck in. Just a really bad experience with this haul and hopefully my last.
Dustin FIT systems to scan ID did not work well. Photo on front side of drivers Lisc no problem. Scanning of back did not work. Entering Manually did not work well at all. Spent about 1 hour getting the rental done.

Aaron W | Overall ExperienceThe women who ran the place was at least an hour late for a scheduled pickup time and she indicated that she had gone to Traverse City to buy a refrigerator among other items. We received a call at the time from Robert in Grand Rapids and he said he was going to adjust our pickup time to 4:30pm so it could be dropped off on time. She said that she was not late as it was on her computer as 4:30. We found items from a nearby tree in the cab and in the back we found two twist ties, a screw and we had to sweep the floor out from the dirt that was in the back before we loaded. The truck shifted hard and got terrible gas mileage and the brakes were well worn. Would not rent a Uhaul truck from this location again.
Keith GI was charged an extra day by this drop off facility! I turned the truck and trailer in on the 5/20/22 as per contract date and time! In fact earlier then the time listed! The trailer was attached to the truck so my question is how does the truck get dropped off at 11:08am and the trailer dropped off at 11:25am on Saturday the 21st ! I want a refund for $57.24 that was taken out of my account without my knowledge when that truck and trailer was returned on time!!
Gary TWorst place in the entire world. Lady was not helpful. Spend a hour checking out on a already done reservation. She said no to help hook up trailer. I had to do it myself. She did not take a picture once the trailer was hooked up. I will never use that location and am taking this further because this was a terrible experience.
jason cThis was the WORST storage experience I've ever had. My belongings were here only 3 weeks, and I returned to a rat infestation, feces and urine had ruined most of my belongings. And shredded other items. The owners were very rude and insisted I was keeping food in my unit!? I then said I would never keep food in a storage unit and was told, word for word, "Well then some other idiot must be keeping food in their unit". I vacated the unit immediately, and was never offered a refund for leaving early nor any help to cover the damages. Or an Apolo for indirectly being called an idiot! WORST BUSINESS EVER

They had recommended to put my things on pallets when I first got the unit. I did that so none of my things were ruined only 2 boxes got a little wet from the water soaking through the pallet.

The billing amount for the pads was wrong on the invoice. the process seemed to take longer than it should considering all my info was in the system already. Justin RI strongly feel that the couple who run the uhaul rental are not qualified to to the work Uhaul requires. Mary tried to enter my info into the computer several times, kept entering it wrong then deleted it. Bruce then tried and finally got it. He then sent Mary out to help me hook up the trailer, she was clueless. She was confused and had to send out the guy Bruce to look at it. I really didn't feel secure. I drove slowly to the gas station down the street and had a guy look at it. All in all it took over an hour to rent the trailer, which Bruce had supposedly typed in my info the night before to reserve it, and was pretty much done. .. But it all had to be redone. Please look into this matter! I would not recommend this location at all!
Jolyn UThe windshield washers were not working until half way through the trip. I stopped to put washer fluid in the tank and realized it was almost full. I kept pushing the button and working with the wipers until fluid started to come out of the drivers side. Later in the day the fluid started to come out of the passengers side.

PAUL WWas late as they where sleeping. Did not give 50 dollars for being late as they said it was due to the mobile app. However, we couldn't get the key as their was no key box and the guy was sleeping even though it was business hours. Had to clean off vehicle of snow and drive was barely plowed.

Michele Fmesick was where we were sent when our scheduled location Kalkaska didn't have the car hauler I was confirmed to pick up. Kalkaska didn't get the reservation from corporate scheduling. I lost 3 hours and plenty of gas to go to a different location to pick it up. Kalkaska and mesick staff were very helpful. Next time I will call before driving 4 hours to pick up a vehicle that isn't there. wasted a whole day.
CYNTHIA HTrouble/anxiety getting 26 ft truck. Wanted me to take a 15 ft truck. I had to plead for the bigger truck. Reservation made one month in advance, and then told, no 26 ft truck available. I did get the 26 ft truck but two days of anxiety. Place of pick-up, computer problems, long check-out.

Lee KIn the past a Friday night, weekend rental was not due back until Monday a.m. with NO additional charge beyond a 2-day rental (Saturday, Sunday.) I was disappointed to learn this is no longer true and I was required to pay for an additional day after returning the rental BEFORE midnight Sunday with a picture to prove it, On Monday, when I showed up to pay the bill, U Haul added a $40 charge for an extra day! I had the trailer for an extra six and one half hours. I paid it, but will be investigating a different rental agency the next time I need a trailer. U Haul used to be customer-oriented. The current policies reflect a desire to gouge. Too bad.
Thomas SU haul computers couldn't find my reservation when returning trailer. Required a couple of phone calls to get everything straightened out. This small office was trying their best to get me taken care of on a Sunday morning. I thought all was already figured and paid, so couldn't figure out the problem in finding the contract.

Linda BThis place is confusing. I pulled into where it says office. It’s not the office. The hotel check in is actually where you go to pick up a trailer. When I called to ask where I go the lady was very rude about having to give directions. Well then make it easier for people to find!! Pam didn’t know what she was doing. I’ve been a U-Haul user for a long time and I’ve never seen anyone do it like that. Also, she didn’t help hook anything up. That tongue was heavy!! Luckily while I was giving myself a hernia my gf helped back it under. She’s never drove my truck before and definitely never backed under a trailer before. Sketchy. When I brought it back the lady was there again and took FOREVER to check me out. I’m used to dropping contract in box and leaving but she insisted that she needed to check it out. Then I called again to rent again and she was again very rude on the phone. I told her I needed one right away and she said “I can have one available at 8am”. Ugh, that doesn’t help me when I’m needing one ASAP. Lol. Probably never going there again or recommending to anyone. I rent a lot especially now that I have a 4 wheeler but I won’t be from there from now on.

Mary PThe place where I rented the U-haul was great, the people were nice and helpful. However, the company itself leaves something to be desired. I reserved a truck to pick up in my hometown to be utilized locally. On the morning I was to pick up the truck I received call from the company informing me they're were no trucks available in my hometown and the closes available truck was in a town 20 miles away. When I questioned why I was allowed to book a truck that was not available, I was told by the lady on the phone that it was my fault because I had booked it there night before. I mentioned the mileage, she offered me 20 cents off per mile, bringing the mileage cost down to 79 cents per mile. Because I had movers scheduled I took the truck. I wanted to leave the truck in my hometown to cut down in mileage as well as saving me time. I was told that I had to take the truck back to where i picked it up or I would get charged $249. I had a total of 61 miles on the truck when I returned it. 44 of those miles was travel to pick up and drop off the truck. This deal cost me an additional $30. I will look at other rental companies if I need to use moving services again.
