I have been renting Uhaul trucks for several years to transport clothing and food to Harlan County, KY and have been dropping the truck at Matt's Seed and Feed for many of those trips. He is always very courteous, quick and thorough.

Lights didn't work and the rep, when asked from the front seat said they were all good. He lied! The cable and plug was worn and frayed. Didn't realize until I was home 30 miles. Also the brake fluid reservoir was nearly empty. And to top it all off the facility couldn't print my contract. Imagine if I had been stopped by the police with no lights and no contract. The worst part is he lied to me. That is shameful! Lucky for me the light wires were actually an extention cord on the original wires coming from the trailer. I was able to unplug, loosen the two clamps that secured it to the trailer and pull the unsheathed wire about six inches out of the trailer tongue towards the back of the truck. Fortunately, I have an unusually long trailer lighting wire and plug on my truck and it barely reached. Nearly half of my trip was through mountains in Eastern Ky, Western Va, and Western NC. The poor trailer brakes situation was hard on my truck to the point that the "maintenance soon" light came on and stayed on from NC to my destination. As soon as I dropped the trailer it went off. I'm glad my move experience that relied heavily on Uhaul is in the past. I would not recommend Uhaul to anyone going forward. Suggest a corporate audit on this place.

Make sure trucks are available before allowing online reservation, needed a ten foot truck...ended up with a 26 ft truck and paying nearly 100 dollars in gas for a 230 mile trip..on top of the nearly 300 for the truck.

The place I picked up the truck was right on the way where we were going to load up. The gentleman that helped me was courteous and helpful. I got in and out within 10 minutes. The only drawback was I turned the windshield wipers on to clean the window and the wiper came loose from the arm. It was a good thing that we were sitting still. My passenger went out and put it back on. It was a good thing he put it back on correctly because before we reached out drop off location we ran into rain. Other than that it was a very good trip.

I originally reserved a different location. I was contacted by telephone by a uhaul representative stating this was the only location with the size truck I had reserved in my area. The representative started she would add additional mileage to my account due to the new pick up location being approximately 35 miles from my residence compared to the first place I had reserved my pick up which was approximately 12 miles from home. I received my bill and have been billed for 18 additional miles at 40¢ per mile.

This location fell far below any standard that I expect from uhaul. All though the staff was friendly, the truck was filthy, the furniture pads were covered in bits poop and straw and the truck took an hour and a half to charge it's dead battery. Giving out the any paperwork and explaining the contract would be helpful to.

The owner didn't give me a copy of my service contract. Just told me it would be emailed to me... Which was a bit difficult to retrieve when you are in the middle of moving. He also did not check the fuel level or do a walk around truck inspection with us.

It took me longer than expected to pick up the vehicle, I had to wait for him to boot up his computers and log on to all the sites. I wished I would have used the u-haul express check in on line option. He didn't even walk me around the vehicle he had me sign the papers handed me the keys and off I went, thank god there wasn't any damages to it and the miles where on

Try to have more trucks available for rent at this location. The vendor did not have the truck available that I needed because he said, "All my trucks are leaving town". We rented a truck in TN so it worked out for us and the vendor.....he got a truck to rent out.
