The owner treated me like dirt when I returned the truck I rented from him because he didn't like the way I parked it in front of his shop. I said that I had parked it like that so it would be easy to inspect the truck. He walked away saying something like "That's why I hate having these f***ing uhaul trucks here. Uhaul can take their trucks and shove them up there @$$." He then says.... "It's because of guys like you." As he got a few feet ahead of me he says that I can leave now. I asked if I get a receipt for this. He just ignored me and kept on walking toward the truck. I asked one of his employees if he was like this all the time. The guy just looked at me, shrudges his shoulders and says, "you will get an email soon with your receipt in it." So I walked out to the owner and asked if everything was as expected. He walks away in a huff and says.... "yeah, except for the park job". Now we had no problem up until he started in about the 'park job'. I was like.... what the heck did I do to deserve being treated like this?? Park a truck where you didn't want it parked? I didn't say it just thought it. Nobody told me when I got back I needed to park any special place. The truck is a 20 foot box truck... You can't park the thing like a regular car or something!! I won't be going back to him to rent anything any more. I am pretty sure this is not the kind of business owner you want to be doing business with.anthony A.
This process was the worst experience I've had in along time. Logging into your systems was a nightmare. I'm thinking that you can only login 24 hours prior to pick up. There should be something posted there that states this because it was impossible to do it prior to that. You really need to work on the pick up and drop off process as well. Taking selfies and all the other nonsense I had to do like provide you with the name and number to someone else was ridiculous.Brenda T.

I had signed up for the contact-free pickup. We put the verification information in, then sat for about 30 minutes waiting. We ended up having to go into the store anyway and go through the original process. If you are going to offer a virtual pickup method, it should actually work.DANIEL G.

The location was great! Regarding the U-haum company process, I did not receive my text asking me to take a picture of my drivers license until 5 minutes before my pick up time, which was when I was driving over. It would be helpful if I could have just handed my license to the u-haul agent so he could just get the information needed instead of having to use the app. It actually made the process take longer.Barbara H.

This was my 2nd time in the last few months renting from this location. I arrived a few minutes early. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful and prompt and had me on my way in minutes. The return process was simple. The vehicles have been very clean and fairly new. This will be my go to location for van and truck rentals.Jeremy M.

The location was fine but the experience with the Uhaul 24/7 dispatch was frustrating and unnecessarily complicated. Although we received an approval notice (which took 30 minutes) to take the truck, we were apparently "not properly dispatched" so that we were unable to go through the return process without calling Uhaul and redoing the dispatch...very dissatisfied with itAntonette M.

How about you start with charging the price that is quoted?!? I was told I would be charged $24.95 + tax for a one way rental of a motorcycle trailer. Instead, I was charged $129 + tax! More than a $100 difference. The guy behind the counter (who couldn't have cared less) just said, â€œYeah, it's more expensive because it's one way.â€ I tell him that it was really clear when I called to reserve it that my rental was one way and I got a confirmation of the cost at $23.95. He didn't care at all. Long story short, at that point, you had me over a barrel; because I was 3 hours from home and had to have a trailer. I'm done with U-Haul and putting this out to everyone within shouting and social media distance!John M.

I had done everything on line to reserve a truck for pick up and when I got there the key was not where it was supposed to be. I still had to go inside and talk to someone who was not wearing a mask while he was helping me. Additionally, it was 9 degrees out and the truck was never warmed up to be ready to go when I needed it.Denice P.

Our rental van had just 3,650 miles showing on its odometer and was essentially a new vehicle. We managed 10.7 mpg driving between 65-75 mph in light traffic on [hilly] interstate highways during our 258 mile round trip. We had no city or in-town driving but did get caught up in a few, several mile long, road construction stop and go sections. Without those zones I'm sure I could have done a bit more than 11.5 mpg. Our truck had no trouble climbing steep hills and everything in the van worked as it should have. The ride of our GMC van was actually pretty comfortable for a large van (I drive a Mercedes and Jaguar as a referance). While no one [really] enjoys moving furnature around the countryside this trip was effortless. A clean and almost new U-Haul van has a lot to do with my above comments. Long short? Our U-Haul experence was trouble free just like all our other U-Haul experences have been.Nancy B.

When ordering trailer on the phone the lead gave me two locations that were quite a ways away from my house anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour then I talk to Samantha from Newington and she was wonderful and found me the trailer that I was looking for in Colchester which was a couple of towns a one town over I was very happy with her performanceDAVID B.

When I reached my destination with the truck and opened the back, I discovered there was shattered glass everywhere....not a huge deal, I swept it all up and went on my way. I returned the truck in much nicer condition than I picked it up in. I looked at my invoice later on and noticed I received a cleaning fee. I figured they made a mistake, but when I questioned it, I was told that I left chains in the back and the charge stands. 1. I don't own chains. 2. If I did, I wouldn't use them for the couch I was moving. This scumbag completely made it up, in hopes I wouldn't look at the invoice. There's a ton of U-Haul rental spots in the area, don't use this one. Also, this place is basically a junkyard.Gregory P.

The mobile check in process is very tedious and slow. Took us over an hour to check in online. Our uhaul did not come with the dolly and furniture pads we requested.Brian T.
The pickup by phone option needs to have better communication. I waited over 10 minutes for anyone to "chat" with me and all they said was my alternate contacts didn't work and them kicked me out of the process. I tried again and waited 20 minutes and then had to wait another 5 on the phone to get someone to talk to. When utilizing the pickup by phone option, someone should be on constant contact with you to let you know what's going on and that you're not being ignored.Melihna M.
There was some mix up at first when I went to pick up my UHaul. The 10' truck I reserved was not available because a previous customer hadn't returned it on time, but Burt was incredible in making it all happen as planned. Thanks again, Burt!!Byron C.
