When I showed up to pick up my 26’ truck it was not there. The lady there spent nearly an hour trying to figure out where it was. She called the U-Haul helpline and we both talked to the representative. She said there was another 26’ truck available 24 miles away. I asked if I would have to pay for the extra miles and she said that I would. According to their computer, my reserved truck was supposed to be about 100’ away so I didn’t trust that there was another one a half hour away.(Also, getting this imaginary truck would have set me another two hours behind, at least) Fortunately, I guess, there was a 15’ truck at my location available. So I ended up renting it instead. We had to make an extra trip with the truck so it ended up costing us about $50 extra overall. I would recommend finding a friend with a truck and trailer and paying them $300 instead. I hope I never need to use a U-Haul service again.

More reliable pick-up, I did not show up on the list at the location. I had to talk with uhaul to call the location to get my key.

I went to the location on my paperwork. I was told that I would have to pay an extra fee for dropping off at the wrong site, even though I was at the site printed on my paperwork. It ended up that the fee for dropping at the wrong place was “waived”.

Their was confusion on the location of the pick up. I received several emails and phone calls from two sites verifying pick up, Francis Creek and party pizzas in Manitowoc. The process of pick up was extremely slow, couldn’t find our order in the system. The lady at the desk didn’t seem to know the computer system or the system is not user friendly for the employees!

Train your people better. All I wanted was a dolly, no one knew how to rent just a dolly. I did the process on line, at the location, and that didn't work. They had to put a call in to their local rep to finally get me my dolly. The people that I dealt with were fine, but didn't know how to help me. A simple process turned in to a 45 minute ordeal

Quote that uhaul gave me when I ordered online was around $120. When I went to pick up the uhaul on Wednesday the associate at the gas station told me it was $170. Called uhaul and straightened it out, they said the associate must’ve entered something wrong. Got the keys to the uhaul and there was a car trailer attached to it. Associate said we’d have to figure out how to remove it and just push it to the side. Returned the uhaul a couple of hours early on Friday. Associate said we were good to go and he didn’t need anything from us. Received a call from uhaul directly 3 days later (on Monday) asking where the uhaul was and when I was going to return it. Turns out associate never checked it back in upon return on Friday. Overall the uhaul worked great. The service at the gas station was just poor and unorganized.

Not my preferred drop off location, had to drive several miles to take the trailer for drop off. This location was the one I was required to use by U-haul when there were 2 other locations within a mile of my final destination. When I went to drop the trailer, the attendant at the location had problems connecting to U-haul on the computer and had to phone in the return information, and was out on hold for an extremely long time. When I asked if there were going to be additional charges, I was told there shouldn’t be, but I had to wait until she completed the call to know if I would have to sign anything. Finally after waiting over a half hour, I was told to just drop the trailer and I would be notified if there was any more I needed to do. And on top of that, the total charges for this rental were nearly double what I was expecting to pay for a one way rental. Overall, this was the most unsatisfactory rental I’ve ever had from u-haul.

The district manager of this location needs to be for issues. The young lady working at the gas station was fantastic!!

I have rented from uhaul many of times. The worst experience ever. Owner was unprofessional and swearing at me. Miss charged me and made me return truck early because he over booked the truck. Very unlikely to rent again with uhaul.
