The truck was covered with snow and I had to clean the windshield myself. I asked for the trolly and it was not provided (I realized it when I got to my place. I was fixated to cleaning the snow and so much focus was on enabling the truck to be drivable and it was too late to head back to this location to pick it up). I was charged for the item that I did not received. My first time using U-haul and I can't believe how bad the experience was.Peco M.

Associate Santa, was great! She was friendly, courteous, and professional. I needed to make a change in my pickup day, due to an emergency, and there was no problem. Santa, made the changes and everything was perfect. Their location did not have any moving pads. So, she made arrangements, so I could pick them up the day before I needed the trailer, at another location. That location was within two blocks of where I live. Highly recommend!Thomas M G.

The truck is too old. The steering was loose and wobbly. Not sure about using it for anything more than local moving. I think the truck has its original set of wiper bladesâ€¦. Hard and dried out. Tires worn too much for any long-haul. Location was convenient to me. Staff was quick and friendly.Jim M.

Seems like they were a bit disorganized. When I returned the truck there was no place to park it. Broken down cars and equipment seemed to be spewed about the property. Truck smelled like BO when I opened it. Seat cover was falling off. Driver side mirror loose and kept folding in during driving. Truck only had 1/4 tank gas so I had to go put some in.Robert H.

Service was good but after returning the vehicle, I was charged an additional $12.65 for gas. When I picked up the truck the gas gage was under half filled. I drove the truck 44 miles and put 8 gallons of gas in the tank. The gage read a fraction over half filled ,but I still was charged $6.325 a gallon times 2 for gas. They rented us a trailer which I had reserved but because their system was down the morning of our rental pick up day somehow they rented us the wrong trailer, a trailer that was supposed to be used by anothercustomer to return in another state. We learned about this error because someone from tje Uhaul Downers Grove called us an hour after we began filling up our trailer with furniture to ask us to bring the trailer back to the rentallocation so that they could give us the correct rental. I told them no way because we were on a strict time schedule bc the condo association approved a 2 hour window for us to load up our furniture for our move and that we couldn't stop working to bring our mostly full of furniture trailer back to the rental location. The girl on the phone talked to me very rudely and said: " we did you a favor by renting it to you because our systems were down, you need to bring it back". I said that their error isn't a favor to us, that we are paying customers and it was their error to rent us the wrong trailer and that we absolutely cannot stop our moving process to return it to you. " Then the girl on the uhaul line HUNG UP on me.! I have never experienced such attitude and unbuisness-like behavior from any business before. How can a business make an error and then tell a paying customer that they did us a favor by renting it us while their system was down? We gave them our credit card info and were paying customers. And to hang up on a customer to shoe their disapproval of my saying no to them is just rude and I would never do business with this Uhaul location ever again.Lina J.

The app did not work very well. It took me a long time to get the correct year of my birthdate. It kept on inputting the year 2023. I got frustrated and ginnalh it worked. I had some difficulty with the lock box not opening to obtain THe keys. I also did not like the second phone number needed to obtain the truck.Ernest M.

Don't overcharge people. We filled the tank to the expected amount and still got charge for gas. Waited on hold with customer service for 4 hours today with no answer. Also, got sent to a further away location that added 20 miles to our trip. We were told that we could get a refund for the extra miles. But, no answer for the customer service number so, no refund. The cost was $50 more because of these problems and that is unacceptable.Eric P.
