I use this location whenever possible! The selection is the biggest in the area and he usually has what I need. The owner is really nice and has gone out of his way to help me several times already. If you need something, check here first!

I purposefully waited until later in the morning so I would not have to mess with all the online stuff (taking photo etc) when returning the auto transport trailer. I got there on Monday abou 8:25 Am it was closed (Website says its open at 8:00 am) I waited for a while thinking someone would show up shortly... It didn't happen, so I was stuck with messing with the online return, left at around 9:30. still no one there. I drove past the other location in Lincoln on Woodlawn road, appears to be a much more inviting location, and it was at least open.
Gary MWebsite didn’t work. No one to help. 800 # guy did help but took a long time. Cost me extra $150 in labor for delays.
Thomas HI was charged for a Dolly that was not placed inside truck… service is very well maintained but just make sure everything that someone is charged and payed for is also put together where it’s needed.
Tarina RCalled and questioned me about the missing dolly. Told him it wasn't in there when we picked it up. Got a rude response indicating i was lying
Ashley MOwner of the uhaul I think is starting to lose it mentally sad to say. Guns, accessories, and ammunition all around the shop. Then called my cell phone to tell me I’m “intentionally fucking him” because I accidentally had the snow brush in the truck cab. Note- I had to clean off all the snow and ice and help get the tailgate open even though the snow and ice had passed through 48 hours later. I don’t care if he’s met me before or knows my parents from years ago. I’m a paying customer, act as such. Does uhaul pay me directly for the manual labor to clean the truck prior to my rental, or reimburse me for my chiropractor for pulling my neck muscle while doing it?

Daniel MInside the building was very dirty, smelled and was a mess. I had to hook the trailer up myself and had to correct him bc he wanted to hook it up wrong. Had to reference the U-Haul website. Someone needs to pop in and inspect the place. Glad they had the trailer i needed but place is a wreck.

Wendy JHe charged me for gas when I filled it PAST what was in it when I got it! He charged me an extra 20.00 for after hours fee when I returned it a day early!!! I only went 36 miles and got charged 1.19 a mile! Yet he told both the customers a head of me they got 40 miles free and .89 after !!! So was I ripped off because I'm a woman and they were men?? I'm behind angry and will tell everyone I know NOT to rent from this guy!!!!!
Kimberly EWrong size of truck assigned with none of the rented equipment. Service engine light if wrong truck was wrong and pics for remote pickup did not match actual truck. Had to call and reserve an additional truck (which was the size I initially wanted as he had 5 sitting on the lot). Until refund shows up, it shows I am paying for both plus the utility cart that was not given.

Michael FFirst off the gentleman that checked me in would make comments that were extremely sexist. When walking in there was no direction as to where to go. Once in the office it smelt horrible. What I could only describe as dog piss, mold, and something dying. Once checked in we went to load the trailer and the sexist comments continued. Like wow you young lady really can drive. I was very offended at the thought that a woman couldn’t drive a truck and pull a trailer specifically a large one.

Michael FThe truck window was covered with bugs and could barely see out. The radio didn't work . The truck smelled. I have used UHAUL a lot and this was the worst experience by far.

Nicholas SI was sent 30 miles from Springfield to pick up the truck even though I booked in t month in advance. Springfield has multiple locations.
Matthew FMy only complaint was that when I dropped off the uhaul I wanted to be contacted by a representative to make sure I wasn't getting over charges I had 49 something being held by the company and then it said I needed to pay 99 I'm fine if it's 90 something including the money on hold but I'm not paying 150 for 3 days 40 miles especially when I made sure to put extra gas in. I was never contacted and if I was they didn't leave a proper voicemail

MARIA CWe called ahead to let him know we were on the way. The associate was very nice, just slow. We had to drive further to pick up our trucks, we were there well over an hour getting checked in, and the office wasn't very clean. The trucks were clean and ready to go. We had reserved trucks to be picked up in Urbana, IL, about 15 minutes from our house, but the closest our trucks were available was Lincoln which is over an hour from our house. This took up extra time from preparing to move. The main things about the trucks would just be to make the mirrors easier to adjust. They were stiff, which is good for holding them in place, but we could never get them adjusted just right for best view of the road.

I enjoyed doing business there and will do so again. The equipment performed flawlessly. I recommend renting from U-Haul and especially from the gentleman in Lincoln, Illinois!
Jim SAll I can say to Lloyd is THANK YOU! His shop was clean and almost felt like home from the second I walked in. He greeted me, offered snacks and beverages the second my foot entered the door. Got right down to business, and got me out of there in no time. He was honest and told me everything he was doing making sure I was following him and didn't have any questions. The dealer at TC Cab in East Peoria had me beside myself and ready to never use uhaul again. Meeting Lloyd shows me why uhaul grew to be such a huge name. He's definitely the reason I'll be coming back in the near future to rent more equipment. Thank you Lloyd!!

CHRIS HProprietor was often confused throughout the transaction and my receipt indicates a Safetrip charge that I did not authorize. Facility is unkempt. Multiple electronic check in procedures including taking phone pictures of the mileage and drivers license and approving each angle picture of the truck are cumbersome on the customer when there is a real person there to take care of the transaction.
Terry BCab was a little dirty. Also there was a large scratch on side that did not have a black X. Tried to get the worker to come out and look but he would not. Other than that he was very nice.

MICHAEL FI’ve never taken insurance out but the guy was so adamant that he said he was putting me down for insurance but 1/2 price mileage. The steering was so awful that I almost lost control on the interstate. Every time I would steer towards the right even in town, it was awful. I swear the guy was just waiting for the truck to completely crap out and die.

AMY OWell I went to rent uhaul and the older gentleman was on the phone with someone /not a customer. It took me over 30-45 minutes to even get a key and get out the door. Won’t be back will go to the other uhaul in Lincoln Illinois
