Customer service at this location is next to horrendous, the system was down i had to send about 1 hours with the authorized rep trying to make the system work. I had to do the rental process myself via the uhaul app 1 hour later Then the truck had the check engine light on the dash was dirty one would expectvthat uhaul would have their vehicles cleaned in these covid times

Simply Terrible Location. I rented using the 24hr truck share/rent with a cell phone. I arrived to find the truck but not the key. I asked in the Auto shop where to find the key, and was told that the person with the key was out, and I would have to go the main branch in Jamaica, about a mile a way. I had no ride, since I was expecting to be driving a truck, so I had to walk 15 min to the main branch. I wait in line 25 minutes, to be told that the key was not there, I had to return to the auto body shop. I walked another 15 minutes back to the body shop and finally the owner shows Up and gives me the key to an old, beat up truck with the check engine light on. Wastes an hour and 20 minutes of my time and a completely needless walk to the main uhaul branch. Suffice it to say I will never be going here again, nor will I be renting with uhaul.

When the clerk informs you that you'll be getting credit for taking the truck with a little less than 1/4 of a tank & you return it with more than 1/4 of a tank and you don't even get the credit that you were promised, I found it insulting when my bill was over $100.00. To think that I only drove it 29.4 miles and was billed for 70 miles was a little ridiculous. But I'll just leave this review out here so others can be well aware of the deceptive practices that went on with MY rental!!!

The garage looked abandoned no signs anywhere address or phone number, the worst Uhaul location I've ever seen. I was surprised and very disappointed I didn't even got the rental that I reserved because the owner couldn't open the lock the Van was in. ????????????

I made reservation a week before to prevent surprises, that day I went to the location following the GPS but the address was not the same for the local, I call the local and the information for the real address was denied, he ask about my reservation and say “you need to go to different u-haul, your car is not here” and hang the phone I was asking until I came to the local, the attendant ask about the reservation and repeat to me: “I told you that I don't have your truck, you need to go to another u-haul” -I'm walking I have not a car here do I can not go walking — I can drive you — At the different local I explain the case and they call the office and send me back to the first local so I went walking, after 2 hr I get the same truck that was in the first parking, 2 hr that the 3 moving guys was not working without truck but charging just to be there so, my experience was .... incredibly disaster

Uhaul trucks are safely locked behind a gate but were unable to be accessed until the location manager arrived an hour and a half after the start of the reservation. Vehicle key lockbox did not contain key, which must be retrieved from the manager. Gas station is nearby to fill up tank as needed. Drop-off was conducted around the corner at intersection rather than at gated parking area.

Why was I charged a cleaning fee for a unit that was not even cleaned to begin with. Bad customer service. I live 2 blocks away and only drove 3 miles I did not say yes to the safe move. But was charged to my credit card. This U-Haul location is no good. I will never go back to 149-12 97th ave.

The guy said a lot of nonsense. Told me if I don't like you, you don't get a fucking truck. Every time I ask him a question he answers and follows it by “ I don't fucking care.” The location is hard to find, The adddess is different. it's an auto glass that sells mattresses and beds and had a tiny u haul sign on the glass? If didn't feel like a place if business at all.

the man attending was nice, but there were somethings I did not like. He didn't give me a paper contract, it came as an email, and there was no clear evidence of a registration or insurance for the truck I rented, but he said it was ok. I returned the truck yesterday and did not get a a receipt. He told me that the system was down and that he would email me the receipt in about 30 min. He never did. I called him this morning and he told me again that I would get the receipt in 30 min. I never got it. I need the receipt.

Danny and team are dependable, fair and friendly. The equipment is well maintained which is no surprise as they run an auto shop. U-Haul drove smooth and we didn't have to wait in any lines etc making for an easy pick up and return. Will go to this location again.

I reserved a 15ft truck online, however, it was not available when I arrived. I had to get a 20ft and paid more money. The $50 money guarantee for the truck was a lie. I did not receive the $50.

I arrived for my scheduled pickup and was told that my pickup location was changed. In New York City commuting takes time and money. It was very upsetting to hear that I would have to travel another hour to get to the available truck. I made my reservation at the beginning of the week and my conformation was given to me through several reminder phone calls. There was no call for the pickup change. Then when I spoke with customer service i was told there was nothing they could do. I was then passed to the scheduling manager who was short with me then abruptly fixed my problem. She then hung up in my face. Customer service was very poor.

The person we spoke to on the phone was the nastiest person and had terrible customer service. He hung up on me twice after just asking simple questions of "what time do you open?" and "is my specific car there?" I will be writing a formal complaint and posts reviews on various websites

The owner ‘Spiritual Adviser' was terrific. Very friendly and made my experience at U-Haul a great one. I've been to other U-Haul locations and the service wasn't great. This tome although smaller and not a typical U-Haul site it was great

When you say that you only need a phone in order to unlock the van during off hours PLEASE also say: you'll also need two friends who are free to answer the phone and vouch for you, and a camera phone in order to take photos, and it takes at least 20 minutes to do all of this. It isn't just “scan and go”. Thank you.

I had to spend more than an hour finding the location and getting help from the customer care service. The self pick up was a disaster. It asked me to go inside and speak to a personnel when the location was closed.

I kept the truck for one extra day but I changed the reservation by calling the guy in charge. When I went to return tje truck he took cash for both days and told me I will get my refund for credit card within 3 days. Its been a month and I still didn't get my refund!
