susan sThe attendant checked me in and inspected the truck very quickly on his phone and emailed me my receipt. I filled the truck with gas as I did not know how much it would use to drive 100 miles. It would be good to have a sign in the truck with average gas mileage to help know how much gas to plan.

Jim CAfter I picked up the trailer I checked the tire pressure, two of the tires were properly inflated, while the other two had 20 psi in one tire and 28 psi in the other. In addition, the trailer was covered in mud, which did not change the functionality of the trailer, but it is not a good look. With that being said, the trailer performed flawlessly and got my cargo to where it needed to be.

Jesse LWhen I picked up the truck, the worker was insanely rude. When I came to drop off and had my husband with me, he was as cheerful as can be. This location doesn’t seem to treat females the same if they don’t have a male with them.
Stephanie CWasn't planning to pick up my reservation truck at a Liquor Store/ U-Haul in Lakeside versus original booking in Chula Vista. First time I went to Store, was more attentive to customers in store buying merchandise. It was hard to find and never expected to find a U-Haul on a liquor store site. It was parked in a dirt parking lot, but inside clean. other wise needing to drive my car 25 miles extra to pick up my own truck in lakeside, things went good later during day. But lost 2 hours with paid worker I hired for 4 hours.

The first location I went to did not have the vehicle available, but the associate by the name Christian went above and beyond, and was able to find me another vehicle of my liking it, the location that I rented from, the second location was also wonderful, polite and efficient. I have used U-Haul a few times now and always had a great experience thank you.

EDWARD CThe truck we rented had 130000? miles on it and is in need of service or retirement. I informed the gentlemen that rented the truck to us that the front suspension was REALLY BAD..Made me worry that it was going to come apart..He didnt seem to be to concerned so i am letting u know..So with my concerns i hope IF your read this U Haul will do something before there a REAL problem..That could kill someone..thankyou..

Steve CI was told to hook up the trailer myself. They did nothing to help. They looked at it when I was done and moved the safety chains around and that was it. When I got to the drop off location they told me the chains were hooked up wrong. Unbelievable.

Christina GYour website is terrible, unresponsive and frustrating. I had to go in to the store to make my reservation.
Diana HNot the fault of the location, but since we don't have smartphones, the entire process was so difficult. We thought we'd be able to take care of things in-person at this location, but it seems he had no infrastructure for this. We were expected to conduct all business by text, which made it impossible/difficult to register an authorized driver, confirm the condition of our equipment, etc. I talked to three different customer service reps on chat and by phone and received contradictory information and was not ultimately helped. I would be cautious about using U-Haul again because customer service has been shifted to self-help on the smartphone.

Pamela MI am done with U-Haul. I will no longer contribute my hard-earned funds to this company. This is more directed to the company as a whole than this specific location. However, the truck that was picked up had one blown tire and one with a nail hole. I thought these were safety inspected prior to delivery. This is AFTER having to drive from Poway to Lakeside to pick up the truck that was promised/guaranteed for Poway. I will say, they did all they could to compensate for the overall shitty customer service received. If this is how you are doing business, I don't expect you will be in business for as many years as you have been. I am completely disappointed and will not be doing business with you in the future. Thank you to the management of the Lakeside store for showing us some compassion, but please make sure you are doing thorough safety checks in the future.
