Staff at Lake Erie Lawn & Garden U-Haul location was very helpful and pleasant. I checked-in online and my time at the coounter was minimal. Trailer was in very good condition, easy hookup and wiring connection was easy. I thought the price was very fair and return of the trailer was super simple. I would recommend this location - very satisfied with everything.

U-Haul website was havin trouble at this location at 9am on Saturday and the people at the counter said it happens a lot. I didn’t get checked out until 9:30. Also I was charged for two day rental when it should have been one. The people on the phone when. Reserved said it would be a one day rental. Overall reservation process was bad.

Everything went great, including drop-off. I appreciate that they were open on Sunday when I picked up the truck and had someone there to handle the transaction and give me the key. I had a bad experience earlier in the day at my originally scheduled location, Powerline in Mentor OH. The facility was closed and the truck was there but the key was not where the instructions said it would be. I was fortunate to be switched to Lake Erie Lawn & Garden.

The gas was showing more than what there was and the photos of the truck didn't show the actual damage. However, I was able to upload photos to show the gas tank and damage.

customer service was very poor. Stood in an unattended store for 15 minutes, until a worker came from the back “yard” where he was with his friends messing around. prior to arriving at the store i called at least a handful of times and not once was the phones answered. While waiting in the store for 15 minutes, the phone rang numerous times as well and went unanswered bc the employee was literally outside in the back messing around with his friends, who do not work there

Uhaul has still not returned the rest of my money. The automatic system was horrific, customer service hung up on me twice, and it took 2 hours to pick up my truck rental, so I was late it was just horrible. Ill never use them again. They were supposed to call me the next day bc sustem wasnt reading mileage right and my estimated bill was like 80 with 30 miles but i only went almost 10 miles they took 100.00 and have NOT made it right and gave the rest of my money back its been 3 days

Starter on the truck was malfunctioning, had to attempt to start 3 or 4 times before the starter would catch. the door for the cargo area took two people to close, it's going hurt someone!!!!! other than that the passenger side was floor was covered in mud. truck ran well but needs maintenance or retirement???? Service associate was very good in handling the pick up of the truck..

Tell the client that not only do you charge $1 per mile but also to gas up or we'll screw you for more money . I thought that $1 per mile included gas. Had I known that it did not, I would have filled it up myself.

rented a 10’ truck for $21, got there to pick it up and they charged me $38- said when reserving online, it doesn’t give the option to select mileage so they apply whatever they “estimate”. Returned the truck, then two days later i see another charge on my account for $49.50. I’ve called numerous times and just get transferred around before the line disconnects.

Both pickup and drop off took over 30 minutes due to the mobile application not working. Had to call in both times and was bounced around until the issue was resolved. Will never be doing a mobile pickup again.

The automated check in systems by the time I got to the right customer service rep it was 30 minutes later an I was cold an in tears. Drop off was very hard to find the drop off box in the dark.

MY experience was terrible. I was originally supposed to rent a U-Haul cargo van, and pick it up in Painesville, Ohio. I was moving to Fairport which is about three miles from Painesville. Then the day i was supposed to pick up the van, I get an e-mail stating that the van wasn't available at that location. I was told I would have to p[ick it up in Chesterland, Ohio , which is in the opposite direction. Then just before i was on my way to get the van in Chesterland, i received a text stating I had to pick it up at Munson Rd. in Mentor ,Ohio. Well when i got there the van wasn't available, so they let me use a truck at the same cost. I get all the way home and notice there is a combination lock on the back door of the truck. I called the place of business from where i picked up the truck, they gave me several combinations to try, none of them work. I had to go back and have them remove the lock. It stated for the inconvenience i wanted at least 5 mile deducted. because it's 59 cents per mile. And that adds up fast. I have always used U-Haul in the past for moving. this was the worst experience I've had. I would not recommend using U-Haul they are disorganized

There was only a quarter of a tank of gas in the truck I used. The people working at the store didn’t seem to be very bright. I was over charged for gas and a random cleaning charge. The truck was just as clean as it was when I got it. I will never use this business ever again.

Location seemed to be disorganized and understaffed. Rental pickup and drop-off process was a bit clunky and harder than it should have been. Will most likely use a different U-Haul location next time, further from my home than this location.

It took 10 minutes to find a counter person then she spent thirty minutes figuring out how to check the trailer in. With my drivers license in hand and reservation couldn't comprehend who I was and said I had to get a trailer elsewhere. Finally realized what was going on. The wheel straps too short to go around stock tire from 68 jeep and popped off often.

The location was disorganized. They gave away my truck, and it took around twenty minutes for them to sort out things to get me another. And they didn't make it clear that I had to pick up my dollies, furniture covers, etc., and we had to return to get them. So I'm shaving off points. On the up-side, the staff was friendly, though, which kept this from being a one or two-star rating!

Wheel fell off the trailer on the Ohio turnpike. Waited a solid hour and a half for the tow truck driver who was misinformed that the trailer only needed a tire. Had to have the trailer towed to my residence. Several items were damaged.

Gave me a van with a bad battery that left me stranded. I believe they knew about this prior because they had the van running for me when I picked it up, they likely had to jump it and didn’t want to shut it off again. I had to wait for over an hour in unsafe heat for a technician to come replace it. Also the van smelled terribly of cigarette smoke and there were ashes all over the interior. They seem careless about the cleanliness or functionality and safety of the equipment.

The agent was super friendly and helpful. The vehicle had no windshield washer fluid and needed an oil change. I rented the vehicle for a 1200 mile trip. It was very unnerving to have the "oil change required" light come on every time I started it.
