My trailer was rented to me with broken wires that resulted in no lights for night time driving and led to me being stopped by a sheriff deputy to warn me that I had NO tail lights. The brake and turn were working and he let me proceed because it was 6:37 am and I no longer required running/tail lights, but I was restricted to day light driving only. Second , the office manager called regarding a local use dolly they rented me, â€œDemandingâ€ I return it immediately or be charged additional daily fees which she attacked me over, accusing me of being dishonest and that I would have to deal with the owner, only to later call me admitting I was right, they had offered me use of their dolly until I returned, as confirmed by one of the women that rented it to me. The manager's behavior was rude, aggressive and as she admitted, â€œwrong â€œ. She has no business running anything, or dealing with people. Afternoon being so wrong, she never apologized.Morris M.
I made my reservation a few weeks in advance. On move day there were no trucks at my location, and I was told I'd have to live with it. The agents were unapologetic and one even lectured me about "this just being the way it is". Moving day was the most stressful day I can remember in years and Uhaul representatives showed zero empathy. I won't rent a truck from you again and I will tell anybody I can about this experience.Todd W.
We had to drop off our truck after hours when the online system was down. We called the next day to make sure it was in and good but the associate was not very helpful. They did get our receipt out quickly which was very nice.Stephen H.

I was supposed to pick up this truck in Garden City. I made the reservation weeks in advance. I had no car to travel to the location in Nampa which is why I picked the one in Garden City since it was in walking distance of where I was staying. When I informed the person on the phone of this, she just told me she was aware that I made the reservation in advance. There was no attempt made to accommodate me nor any apology for the inconvenience of getting a ride out to Nampa. I was also told my contract was amended to account for the extra mileage since I had to bring the truck back in to Boise to pick up the items I was moving. I did get charged for extra miles when I dropped it off. The charge was minimal and I had no faith that anything would be done to make things right. I'll never use this company again.Tim D.

Was charged $25.18 for gas! Truck was returned with same amount of gas as received. Also returned 1dozen blankets that were not opened and clean. My reservation was so screwed up. I resented a 26' box truck and got a smaller van and trailer. I am not happy with uhaul. I don't know if I will ever use you again. Nothing was easy about renting from you. Because of the different size truck you gave me I had to make another trip that has cost me money and time.Michael S.

I have been using Uhaul for more than 20 years and after my single experience with your Kings Gate Storage affiliate I will never use Uhaul again.... and nor will my immediate family. They are dishonest, rude and just plain thieves. There are plenty of other companies I can use.Keith R.

As my son was driving to pick up the truck, U-Hail was calling me saying the truck we reserved was not yet returned by the previous users; and there would be an hour delay. While I appreciated the call, it just added more stress; also we did not receive a dolly with straps as reserved. So the whole process put us behind by at least an hour, in turn affecting our work crews as well.Joyce L.

The rep told me everything was good and I gave him the key to the truck. He did not hand me a receipt. I asked if he needed me to sweep out the truck more before I left. He said as long as I didn't leave stuff or liquids were in the truck, it would be fine.Mario T.

I had to honk my horn several times to get the gate open to drop off the trailer. I never did get a receipt or invoice emailed to me. Customer service is kinda we don't gaf attitude. that is normal now a days just did not expect that behavior from a woman old enough to know better.Michael W.
Change your gasoline policy. I returned the truck with more gas than I rented it with,and did not get a credit for that, but I did get a bill for every single mile over the mileage at $0.40/mile! If you are going to get charged for mileage, you ought to get a fuel credit if there is extra left over. This is a terrible business policy for a company to have and it should be changed immediately, that's is equivalent to stealing in my book. It's not as if I could use up extra gas and not get charged for further mileage, and not like I can estimate an exact amount of gas on a cross country move in the middle of winter with a risk of getting stranded! I spoke to some very kind employees who helped me out, but it really should work more like a car rental agreement which is what I really expected.Melody K.

Overall good experience. The app repeatedly said that I did not have service when I was trying to check the truck out. When I checked the truck in the app asked me to put the key back in lockbox #1. There was another truck key in lockbox #1. I was not comfortable putting a second key in the lockbox so I put the key in the orange key return box. Other than that excellent experience and appreciate returning the truck on my schedule.Matthew C.
There is a mysterious $14 payment uhaul gets you with at the end that I still dont know what it was for, but since i was outside in the rain trying to turn my truck via the app with pictures, I just paid it to hurry and go.luke D.
