Truck had a check engine light on and they still had me take it. It's a good thing that I was only going locally. They had another truck that was the same size that was in good condition and was actually clean and well maintained so I'm not sure why they didn't let me use that one. They chose to let me take one that could break down. This was the worst truck I have ever rented from Uhaul and I have always rented from Uhaul every time I have moved.

SHERONDA RThe drivers wiper blade was falling apart and I came to find this information out when I needed to turn on the wipers while driving at night through the outer bands of rain produced by hurricane Helene. There was a string of rubber hanging off the wiper. Basic safety inspections should be performed on these vehicles.

Ines GI would highly recommend getting any uhaul equipment when a facility is open. If you do rent when a place is closed think about using the web page instead of the App.The App doesn't work great, had to call customer service (hold for 25 minutes) who directed/ recommended I switch to the web page. Even then it takes a long time to go through the initial rental and then drop off process. You have to take pictures of your ID, have them call a contact to confirm you can rent, take pictures of the truck, etc. very cumbersome especially given the poor quality of the app.

I personally had a bad experience getting and returning the truck to the place it was assingned. the a/c of the truck didnt work well, and I didnot bother to put back on. Probably is the app and even the lock box were easy to access all would be just fine. I was not the only customer with these issues as there were other people trying to get their truck, and at the end they went to Union, NJ in US 22 highway. The location is perfect for the people that rent a truck and lives close by. But the app is jus a pain in the neck thaNK YOU

Thomas BAsked the gentleman to come out to inspect the car with me before I left and he said no and that he was busy but to just leave it. I was about to leave, following his directions, but instead walked back inside the establishment requesting the keys so that I could take a video of the mileage. Took my video and gave the keys back. I now have the $25 dollar cleaning charge that I am trying to dispute. Waiting on a call from John Guinta. I typically never complain about services having worked in the service industry myself for a long time, but this isn't right. $25 dollars isn't a ton of money, but it is the principal of what happened. Hoping this can be resolved.

Martin SCustomer service at the location was very poor, truck was given to me with only a quarter tank of gas, truck had a check engine light on it, I alerted the dealer to which he brushed off as a gas cap issue (which it wasn't, driving it sounded like something was going to break inside), the alignment was off because while driving the steering wheel was turned all the way to one side while I was still driving straight, plus to would stick to one side and had to pulled back, the truck felt completely unsafe and when returning it started to rain, I turned on the front headlights only to see when i returned it that one of the front headlights was out. That could have cost me getting pulled over by the police. When I put gas into the truck I actually filled it to half tank which means I gave it back with more gas than it was given to me in. I am completely frustrated and upset with this whole experience and already filed a formal complaint and I will be looking to be reimbursed for the rental and gas. The is has soured me from ever using U-Haul

cruz aThe truck smelled very strongly of cigarettes. It was unbearable. The windows had to be kept open the entire time. The man in the office was smoking when I had to go inside to pick up the key. It really made the moving experience miserable.

Iriah FAfter the rental, when dropping off my keys the guy at the location didn't do a walk through with me to see if there was damage. When I got my receipt, it said there was damage to the passenger seat. There was only one person in the truck, and it was the driver. This damage didn't come from me. Not sure what happened, but there was 3 hours from when I dropped off the truck to when they wrote the receipt. It's imperative that when a customer drops off a truck that the location does a walk through with the customer, because now I have to deal with the insurance company uhaul uses for damage I never made.
Joshua VBait and switch. Costs doubled after I returned the rental due to undisclosed fees. I had even asked for a specific breakdown of charges at pickup and the fees were not mentioned. I am very upset/angry and will be disputing the charges.

I also asked for a specific drop off location and was told that I could call customer service to change it later. Customer Service was just as bad through the whole rental and wait times exceeded an hour.

susan gThe virtual sign-in to pickup and then return the vehicle took 30 minutes each time. I had 3 movers on the clock waiting, which cost me more than the entire UHaul rental!! I will never rent another UHaul, at a location where there are No Uhaul people present!! I have rented before where UHaul people were there and the rental took less than 5 minutes! The pictures on-line, of the UHaul I rented were probably years old, because my UHaul had grafitti, huge gashes painted over w/ white paint, perforations through the side of the storage compartment, etc. I called the UHaul 800 number several times to to ask questions and it just rang and rang and Nobody picked up.. The Customer Service is atrocious, bc no one answers the phone at Uhaul.

Bhavin pHad reservation at 8am and guy didn't show up until 9:30. Bad start. Van was excellent. Received bill and they charged me $25 cleaning fee. I asked why and they sent a picture of 1/10 of a leaf that was on the carpet. Currently disputing bill .
MARJI ZKenny was very polite and accommodating. Uhaul service ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I called from sat until Monday trying to get an issue resolved only to be told, that I needed to speak to the location which was a lie and could have been resolved instantly. Not a good experience.

eric wThe truck had no tie down straps to use. You shouldn't expect a customer to have these, they should be supplied with the truck to keep furniture and the load from shifting during transit. It might also be considered a safety issue.
Dong BNot anything against the location this location is great. U-Haul customer service on the other hand is horrendous. Absolutely unprofessional and unavailable. I was supposed to pick up my rental from a location near my home the night before. I spent 3+ hours on hold before being told my van wasn't available while I sat in their parking lot waiting. They instead changed my reservation to a different location 25 minutes and 11 miles away (which I paid for the 22 extra miles of driving) because of U-Haul error. Make sure to confirm your vehicle with the location and do not trust the app or website. Customer service is a joke and they will not help you

Moises VU-Haul confirmed my cellphone pickup of cargo van for 8:30 AM. When I arrived to pick it up, U-Haul told me it had to be done manually once the shop opened at 9:00. I had to call U-Haul and have the reservation changed to a small truck but lost a precious 1/2 hour and had to race to get back in time. Overall, very unhappy with your online reservation system.
Judith VVery discourteous representative. Office was very untidy and smelled of cigarette smoke. Did not inspect the van when I got back yet I see I was charged for cleaning the van. Did not discuss anything with me or even checked the mileage. Just asked for the key. Such a disgusting experience. And let me not forget this. There was no hand truck available. I could not believe this. Renting a moving vehicle and a hand truck ordered but none available on pickup day and I was not advised. And the disgusting representative had no solution to offer when I asked where does he think I can get one. Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting.

CHRISTOPH LOnline pick up was not good. It took 30+ minutes to get set up online to get the truck however U-Haul did not extend my time with the truck ( scheduled from 9-1, got everything set up by 9:45, they still expected the truck back by 1). The app does not work and you cannot click to read or accept the agreements. Getting the key was confusing. Next time I will go somewhere where there is a person operating the pick up.
