Everything was fine BUT the online reservation process was annoying/frustrating. I wanted to hire a trailer - not have every other service forced down my throat. It would have been nice to have it listed on the side and let me have a choice rather than force me to find my way through a maze with as many obstacles as can be thrown in my path. Very nearly lost me !

I Had trouble trying to call the location. When I got there the rep. said that the u-haul phone line was down. That was understandable after she said that. However I was a little annoyed about that. Not their fault though.

I filled up the tank past where it was required and they still charged me a fuel charge. They didn't even tell me they were going to charge me so I left thinking everything was fine. The only way I noticed it was by looking at my credit card activity online. I am NOT happy with that. One good thing was that the return took less than 5 minutes so I was in and out.

We waited 1 hour on the phone with customer service to get the lock box code (despite having done the online check-in prior). After 1 hour on the phone, we became aware that the location had not set up the particular truck we had rented for 24/7 pickup and were given a different truck. At the time to return the truck, we had additional charges for furniture pads that we did not receive upon rental, so we had to dispute the overall final charge. Luckily, we still met our goal of moving, but it's a miracle considering all the hurdles we had to jump to rent and return this truck. 10/10 would not recommend.

When I picked up the trailer, the back door was opened and there was debris all inside the trailer, dirt and leaves. After signing my agreement letter and given my copy of it I was told where the trailer was parked and I had to life and install the trailer onto my truck hitch myself. The driver side lights on the trailer didn't work. Not the kind of service I have ever experienced from a Uhaul center.

Have the equipment available that fits the customers need. I had to get a trailer that was bigger and more costly than I needed. There were trailers near, but could not be dropped off locally. Don't like having to pay for more for a lack of available requirement. Uhauls fault not the local agent..

I reserved a utility dolly and an appliance dolly. The girl told me they didn't have an appliance dolly. I asked why I was allowed to reserve one (at least 2-3 weeks earlier) if they don't have them. Her reply “I don't know...I'm sorry.” She told me to look inside the truck and if there weren't any dollys to come back in and tell her and she'd find me some. In the end, her mgr looked in another truck and found an appliance one! I had called the day before to confirm my reservation and was told the trucks get sanitized between rentals. The truck cab had food particles and a q-tip in it so I reiterated I'd been told they are sanitized to which I was told by the man “We try.” I said there's a difference between doing and trying and he explained they're out of Lysol spray. WTH?? They didn't walk me out to go over the truck- she told me to find it per the number on the key and take pictures if I saw anything wrong. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I will never rent there again!

I never received the tool I rented and I got charged for it and when I left and got to a gas station before I left town I noticed the oil life was real low I checked the oil and it wasn't even showing on the dip stick at all I had to add 2 quarts I tried to call Location and they would not answer the phone I called two days in a row and i still didn't get ahold of anyone.

If you had employees that knew there job in your call center it would have been great but your people tried to tell me to return the trailer to New Braunfels which was never told to me ever my contract said Lockhart they told me I could not drop it off there because they were not able to accept it for could not grt in the gate there is no gate your people need to know there JOB!!!!!! There is much more but I am tired of typing.

Employee(only one) not on site for pick up, (had to wait 30 minutes past scheduled time), then not on site when bringing it back(another 20 minute wait). Also busy with another customer & said to leave the key & he would process it as received but didn't do that for 2 days. Had uhaul call me about it because it “wasn't returned as scheduled”. Uhaul had to actually reach out to actual owner of the business there to get it done. I will not be returning to this location for another rental, i would rather drive further and have it go as scheduled than deal with this place

Explain before a person reserves equipment if it is availed on location. I reserved the truck two,days ahead of time and even the person working there showed it to me and explained even when they would be closed it would be ready that Saturday. I checked the next day Friday at the same location the day before I picked it up and again the said they had the reservation and it would be a Available even when the place was closed. It wasn't and it took more then a hour to find another's. I will never use this type of service fro up haul again. Get you act together. I will tell others the same story. Don't use the app! It sucks!

Someone should be on the premises for returns, I am sure someone is there to take the money. Got an answering machine when I called, sign on door saying, "out on a call". If my trailer had been any larger, I would not have been able to get it off my truck. Just not use to that kind of treatment, I have rented many trailers from Uhaul.

I reserved a 10' truck on Monday July 22 (#93845121) one way from San Marcos Texas to Houston Texas for about $140+. Friday July 26 U-Haul called me that 10' is not available !!!! Why I don.t know I had confirmation. U-Haul offered a 26' truck instead of 10'; I said can not drive 26', finally U-Haul found a 15' truck in Lockhart Texas, with the same price and discount for extra millage from Lockhart to San Marcos, 11:00 AM. I entered the U-Haul office in Lockhart about 10:30. The U-Haul reception said they do not have 15' available; when I said I have reservation from a week ago, she said reservation with U-Haul does not guaranty that we have truck available, we are not U-Haul, we are family business here and we are U-Haul contractor. If you need a truck we have a 10' truck available. I said OK I want it. She said there are 2 10' trucks on the yard, one of them has battery problem and is in front of the other one; the maintenance has to fix it move it then the other good one will be available for you. I said lets do that. After about one hour she said it is ready, actually it was 15' truck not 10'. she said I have to pay $207, I asked why, my reservation was $140, she said we do not care for your reservation, this is our price here, if you don't want it we give it to someone else, I called several times to U-Haul, finally she changed all she said before and said I added $58 insurance to that, that's why it is $207. After about hour and half arguing finally I got the truck, I was late for the move the furniture. I used U-Haul week before that, from Austin Texas to Houston one way. it was excellent service; but this time the Lockhart office working on their own way. I do not reserve any truck from that location.

We had travel 1 hour out of our way from Childress, TX to Altus, OK to get a truck on short notice after my grandmother passed away. No one withing a 30 mile radius was open AND had the size truck we needed. We then had to load it, drive 7 hours then unload it in Lockhart, TX. We were 30 minutes late turning the truck in and we're then charged a whole extra day for those 30 minutes. That is ridiculous!! The lady in Altus, OK went out of her way to help us in our time of need and I feel like these guys in Lockhart, TX took advantage of us in our time of mourning. I will never do business with this place and would never think of recommending them to my worst enemy.

My sister returned 26' truck early and refueled truck with more than double what she used to drive 35.8 miles. A truck which uhaul boasts gets 10 mpg. Yet I, her benefactor, was charged $50.63 for 13.5 gallons used plus a $30 fuel fee for not replacing the gas...which she did and has receipt. After contacting JR Auto, they told me to contact UHaul who told me to contact JR Auto. The problem here, is that the math is simple yet no one can or us willing to explain how a 35.8 mile trip burned 13.5 gallons. A 100 extra miles, NOT driven. “Please Lucy, s'plain it to me?” Not only 100 miles obvious discrepancy, there was an additional 4.6 gallons above and beyond pick up fuel quantity, that's not even considered.

I don't think I'll ever use uhaul again. It's been awful with them. In the end, I was told by one person over the phone to ask for her the day I showed up to drop it off. She was not there and she told me she would be. The people were looking at the wrong account telling us we owed them gas and money. We had to call the gentleman from the pick up location to confirm our account in the fact that we did not owe them anything. At the end when they finally took our keys, they told us we owed $900. When we paid $1500 when we picked it up. They didn't even close our account because they had no idea what they were doing. I had to call uhaul and get everything situated with them. We also picked up a share load transfer trailer as a favor for uhaul on our way back to town and got that turned in even though the employees had no idea about it. A week later I get an email saying we still owe money for going 175 miles over our original limit when we got the truck, our contract was solid before the lady contacted us to ask us to pick it up for them, so even though we went states over to pick something up for uhaul, they don't seem to care and just want money. Service has been awful and no one seems how to know to keep up with anything.

I'm in your system. I rent the motorcycle trailer 4 or 5 times a year for several years. The bull I had to go through made me decide to go buy a trailer for myself. I had to hook up the trailer myself and check the lights. When I returned i had to unhook and go in and get my money from the deposit i was charged. They never even inspected the trailer.

The issue is with Uhaul. Your online system sells doing everything online so you check out quick, but then when I get there they ask every question again.

The web site should accurately reflect my commitment. I left the website expecting to pay for a two-day rental. But when I picked the trailer up, my invoice reflected a 3-day price. Up front pricing should be more accurate and agree with what I agreed to when confirming the reservation.

Left blinker on trailer was out since it was installed on my car, when we went to this store to drop off the guy with a septum piercing said I had to call a number because we weren't made a appointment, handed my daughter a sticky note pad, said to call and walked away. When we went inside after calling the number,w got scolded by some blonde guy saying they had a full lot, blah blah blah. I don't care. I wanted to get rid of the trailer and be done with it. Not my problem.

I was originally suppose to pick up the Uhaul at 8:30 am but wasn't able to get until almost 10:45 am. That was after the owner of the stations father went in search of him. He came up there complaining about he was suppose to be closed. I told him that if that was so why did I have a confirmation. I will never do business with him nor recommend anyone to do business with him.
