It was the easiest check in and out I have ever had at Uhaul. They were super fast hooking up the trailer and disconnecting. Again, by far the easiest-no worry experience.

I recommend that the agent could recommend a lock for the customers and other moving supplies if possible. I was new at this and I had to come back to the store (with the truck) and buy a new lock.

If I could see truck photos, I didn't use the truck. It is really old, over 150k miles, and the worst part was a break. The truck really needs a break work. the break was really loose and I had to put on the breaks way earlier and slammed on them sometimes.

Looks like very old hardware store, but probably has everything you would ever need. Trees need to trimmed back to see on-coming traffic to pull out into traffic. Friendly service representative.

No one came out to walk around the truck and look at it with us before we took it. There was a crack on the windshield that we documented that morning before taking the truck and sure enough they charged for it. I was assured I would get a refund and while watching my account, I saw they charged me an extra $132 on top of the $219 they billed me for originally! I called and was told this extra fee should just go away.... I do not trust U-haul now and would not recommend them.

I dropped off the truck the night before it was due. The following morning, I came 5 minutes before the store was open and the owner had already taken the truck and charged me a $25 cleaning fee. I did not appreciate that this was done before the store even opened and could have easily done this myself. When asked, he simply replied “what’s done is done.”

The only hiccup was the store rep didn't know where the key was located- thought we should have been given a code to get into the lock box for the key but it was hanging on a hook in the store

As for a U-Haul dealership, I would do my research and find a different place before renting from them if I were you. I came in from out of state and did my initial reservation online and had great accommodations from the U-Haul store where I picked up the truck in Alabama. They helped me load my car on the dolly, they were kind and accommodating and not in a rush I will leave them a great review. This place, on the other hand, it’s all about the money. As a single mother driving from out of state towing my car, and the type of debit card used I had to put a deposit down which was OK. They said I would get that back when I would drop it off. Then when I came to drop off the dolly for my U-Haul truck and told him I would be back to return the truck there wasn’t a problem there at Johnson’s hardware, they were just very busy. Then when I unloaded the truck and was going to bring it back I needed to put gas in it. I had just enough to put all that I needed besides an eighth of a tank. I asked him nicely, if I could turn the truck in, get the deposit back to me, go to the gas station right behind their building, and fill up the truck the rest of the way. If not I was going to probablyHave to pay five dollars a gallon. The tall guy with dark hair who runs the front desk, laughed about how much that would be. We stood outside I’ve begged him again if he would just let me go put gas in it after he return my deposit. He said no he could not do that. This was not my first time renting a truck, I have rented many trucks this past year to move furniture I have purchased and help other people, each U-Haul dealer can bend the rules if they choose to. I’ve had dealerships give us unlimited miles so that we did not have to pay the Intown rate with limited miles, I have had retailers give us the truck without a deposit, I’ve had dealerships also manipulate the mileage and gas log to benefit me as a customer. I was not asking for a giant discount at all, I was just asking to have my deposit back and then go fill the truck up. Needless to say, I stood there with my child who was carsick from the long travels, at his mercy to say yes or no, laughing at me in this jerkish tone, while wearing his dark sunglasses, that I was having to pay $50 for fuel. After I just put in $40. There are tons of places in Fayetteville to rent your truck so read the reviews, iron out all the details, speak to them in person on the phone Before you rent from them. Like I said, I was coming from out of state and I guess because I was coming from Alabama they thought that I was stupid and took advantage of me as a woman. So much for southern hospitality. I brought the truck back a day early because he called me three times the day before it was due because people were calling needing that size of truck. I did them a favor to bring back the small truck so they could’ve turn around and rent it. He could not do me a favor by letting me go put the rest of the gas in the tank.

My biggest problem has more to do with Uhaul proper for charging my account because it was “associated with” an account that had money due. Additionally, I was not warned beforehand and had to sit in the parking lot and call customer service and pay a large outstanding fee that didn’t belong to me so that I could pick up the truck I was looking at. Additionally, they could not guarantee I would get my money back and did not allow me to cancel my reservation without giving me the third degree.

This truck smelled of cigarette smoke bad and had cigarette ashes in the floorboard and an old piece of beef jerkey laying in the seat. There were also someone’s reading glasses in the glovebox. The vehicle wasn’t clean at all as we had to drive to Dallas with that smell. We were also told we were getting a 10ft truck, as we got there they gave us a larger truck which we didn’t need and tried to charge us more that what we were told when we called. They did adjust the price eventually.

The trailer i used with ramps the square nut ontop that you hand tighten to lock it onto the ball was lightly damaged and kinda hard to turn. Other than that the experience was perfect!

It is an old hardware store...UHaul is their side business and it shows. I waited for someone to help me, I waited for someone to check me in and it took over 20 minutes to receive a confirmation that I had turned in the truck and dolley.

The guy working in the store need more help and he needs to learn how to read a fuel gauge I filled the truck up backwards supposed to be and he charged me $12 extra for fuel never had this problem before didn't appreciate having to call U-Haul customer service trying to get my money back I'm a busy person my advice learn how to read a fuel gaugealso I rented the truck for one day and they charged me $20 extra for another day was not refunded that $20 so basically I got ripped off

I was charged for 1.5 gal of gas. I returned the truck with more gas than when i got it. I drove only 10 miles and put 2 gallons in. Idk why i was charged.

February 1 - I was overcharged for my rental and when they tried to correct it I ended up being charged two more times. My rental was $41,65 but had three additional charges for $35.40, $47.90 and $35.40. I call to check on the status after several emails. Josh was the rudest SOB I have ever dealt with. He was an absolute prick and would nothing to assist and said I had to call the 800 number to resolve being overcharged.

The metal step to get into the back of the truck has no traction and is very slippery. I was climbing out of the truck and it was so slippery that my foot went out from under me and my back slammed down very hard on the step. We all thought maybe it was wet, but both my shoes and the step were completely dry. My wife and several of my friends even ran their shoes over it and were shocked. I'm now in quite a bit of pain and have a HUGE bruise on my back.

Keep their dog in a area for people who are not animal friendly. Also park trailer somewhere you won't be stepping in dog crap.

I had a trailer rented at a closer location but when I went there at the time on the confirmation they were not open. Calling the number listed had a message open Saturday only by appointment. Waited for a return call that has never come. Found Johnson’s Hardware that had trailer. They were great, Joyce Storage terrible or no service.

U-Haul arrived with the box 30 minutes late. I hired movers so we were waiting around. Not location specific, but I was called 4 different times regarding issues with my reservation. Each time I explain what I needed and was told "ahh I see that here, someone really messed this up" 4 different times....Frustrating when trying to have a smooth move and consistently receiving concerning calls like that.
