The only disappointing thing was that I had to drive from Erie PA to Corry PA (1 hour) to pick up the trailer. I was surprised that a trailer was not available in the Erie area especially when I reserved it about 2 weeks ahead of pickup.

I paid online. However, when my son went to the place to pick up the trailer, the salesperson said we owed them. I had to text the receipt to my son. Then the salesman said we owed $30 for insurance. I was confused because I did the transaction online and I did not owe for anything. I had my son put the salesperson on the phone and after going around and around with him, he finally stated that the insurance was OPTIONAL. This is EXACTLY why I took care of everything online, because I already knew.... once they saw my son(young African American male)... they would give him a hard time. I am tired to it! And if I can ever find another rental company to use...I will be using them! Trust me...I will share this incident with my friends- both black and white!

I had made a reservation a week in advance and was sent to the neighboring state to get the truck. Luckily, I called ahead the morning I was going to pickup the truck & was told that they didn't have my rental, but I never received any notification about it. Fortunately, I was able to get a truck from Jim's Automotive right up the street from me. I had zero issues throughout the rental process and I will definitely rent another truck from Jim's Automotive again.

Vehicle was rented to us unclean. This just added to the negative experience we had when the pick up location for the vehicle was changed to Corry which was out of the way that we were traveling. Customer service phone number was extremely unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with. Was on hold multiple times for over 15 minutes each time. They also had notated that they had “left us a couple messages “ about the pickup location, which is a complete lie. They called one time. That is it. Will definitely consider a different rental company for a next college move.

Jim has almost no people skills at all and originally tried to give me a trailer with no turn signal. He switched trailers and the next one had 2 marker lights out. It took me over an hr to get on the road. He was reluctantly cooperative.

Discounts were available to me if I was willing to drive the truck to another drop off location. Though I rented one of the smallest trucks, I was impressed that it had the power necessary to haul the load. Much appreciated for the cleanliness and great maintenance. Carefully gone over before the next renter uses the truck for next haul. Uhaul has been and will be my choice for my moving needs. No games. What you reserve and pay for at time of rental is the same you pay when you drop off. Just follow your agreement and you will be a very happy customer every time! Thanks again!

The uhaul process is BROKEN. Was scheduled to pick up trailer at 9 AM in Erie, PA. Drove from Corry to Erie ( 1 hour away), no one at location at first, when man arrived, no trailer. He had to text dispatcher, not able to call anyone. Only text. Eventually they found a trailer out of town, someone had to drive to Knox or Titusville to pick it up. I suggested they drop it off in Corry instead of driving it all the way to Erie. I finally was able to pick up the trailer at 3:30 PM. I received a call and was given a $50 credit off my rental charges. It was a really screwed up experience. The girl at Jims Automotive communicating with uhaul personnel was less than helpful. She acted "put out" by having to do her job. Your rental process is broken, especially if someone knew a trailer was not available for pickup but didn't inform me. I lost an entire day to this mess. The man who finally delivered the trailer to Corry was apologetic, nice and very helpful.

I had to travel over one hour away from home just to pick up a uhaul to go one way when there were multiple uhaul places within 10 miles of my home. Then I had a one hour drive home to load it before I left for a 7 hour trip to take my son to college. This should have been easier.
