Ellen EWas not serviced so the back end dirty and in rain storm wipers came apart. For the cost it was not as contract notes. When returned advised of issues and told it was to be serviced prior to leaving. Was unaware of app importance so for drop off no one there so took to another location up the road and prefer contact with people so not in situation of being held responsible for something I didn't do, he checked everything and took the truck per my request

kent sEven though we lost a day to work (due to the useless U-HAUL app), U-HAUL never compensated for it. When we got to the drop off location on time, the store was closed but a worker came back. As the app didn't seem to be working correctly again, we asked him to process our return in person. He said his boss said no and we can just leave the key. They have a camera there, and they will process it next week. (Later, we were informed on the phone that they would have charged us an extra $20 if we wouldn't be able to use the app and the store had to process the return the next day. - Misinformation from a U-HAUL dealer again.) When we finally got the phone operator, she refused to start our return process on the phone!! She walked through the app, but our phone's camera couldn't take a clear photo of the dashboard, and we had to do it over and over again. What if a customer doesn't have a cell phone with a working camera?? Or not even a phone itself??? It was the most inconvenient U-HAUL pick up and drop off ever!! WHY CAN'T YOU PROCESS PICK UP AND DROP OFF FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS ON THE PHONE WHEN THE U-HAUL APP ISN'T WORKING??? The operator, Shawante, said we got a free day to rent a truck, but that was a total lie. We even had to pay an extra $15 for the insurance for the last day. As we weren't able to pick up as we planned due to the useless app, we ended up paying for an extra day. This was the final straw on us, when we were exhausted from the move. Due to the unhelpful and deceptive ways of handling our reservation, we are considering not using U-HAUL in the future.

Lori BBiggest compksint here was we had to drive 19 mikes south to pick this rental up when we ordered this thru the Hamilton NY location 2 weeks eatlier. Right up ubtil the day before we were on for Hamikton..got a noyice we had to drive to Sherburne, a location 15 miles Further away. Even Earlville NY would have been closer, and they both had 10 ft trucks matching our order. That made for a 38 Mile round trip instead of a 9 Mile round trip.
Michael SIt was very difficult to get the key in the drop box. I had to force it in to fit. It was after hours so I couldn't give it to the staff.
ANYA MThere was less fuel in truck than stated When I returned it I informed the attendant of discrepancies the decided to charge me for 6gal of fuel. So I have chosen alternative vendors and will never use Uhaul in the future as I cannot rely on being treated fairly and not taken advantage of. Look at the mileage, I replace 4 gals they charged me for 6 gals for about 35 mile round trip. Can you say rip-off

Mac MA satisfactory experience. I think given the rural area I live, Eaton, I had to choose a location that was out of the way to get the truck size I needed for my move to Syracuse, but that's not a huge deal, just less convenient and a bit more expensive since you pay per mile. More populated areas probably have a greater selection. I used I think a 15' truck. My dad was frustrated using the mobile able to pick up the truck, but he eventually figured it out. Dropping it off was no problem. There was a dolly and furniture pads inside, but we did not use them. A receipt was promptly sent to me so I could see all my charges laid out.

suzanne oI picked up the truck and the hand truck, blankets and dolly were not in the truck. After waiting 45 minutes since the store opened at 9. I had to wait another 15 minutes before I just called into uhaul and j and I sports but no resolution on getting moving tools. I ended up leaving without the tools and expect to be refunded for the tools I rented that was not there. The worst part was the business was to open at 9am and we could see people inside but no one would come out or answer the telephone to resolve this issue. Outside of not having the tools to move easily, I did like the truck share process. David Smith 315-436-7122
David SWhen we showed up to pick up the truck at 9 am, we were told the Uhaul person was not in and had to return an hour later. So we were late getting started. We did get the truck stuck and had to call Uhaul, they got on it very quickly, so that was a plus.
Penny Hthe location was okay except for the Red Solo Cup taped to the side of the truck. But the remote check-in was virtually impossible. After downloading and redownloading the app which didn't work, I called Uhaul directly once and they gave me a link that didn't work, I called again and they said they couldn't help me

Werner GThe uhaul representative did not come outside and do the walk around the truck with me, and the truck had a cracked windshield and I did not notice it. When I dropped off the truck at the west haven, CT location, Grant did the walk through to check the truck and he noticed the cracked windshield, I explained to him everything that happened at the pick up location and that the person did not do a walk through, and he reported everything to u-haul, and I was fine. Grant did an amazing customer service job. I will never recommend the sherburne, NY location.
Jaemy UStaff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help me find a place to get a hitch installed and held my rental for me until I could pick it up. She's a wonderful lady!!!
Stacey TI reserved the truck 2 Weeks ahead and was called 2 days prior and told that they gave the truck to someone else and I would have to drive 25 min away to get a truck. At the 2nd location, Jeffreys, The owner would not wait an extra 15 min for me to get there. The self service app did not work. Cell service was poor at the location. First person I spoke to at U-Haul when I was having issues said if the app didn't work I just coukdn't Get the truck. Luckily the next rep did help me over the phone. A reservation should confirm that a truck will be available.

GENE BIt says 19 95 on the side of the truck for in town my charge was 80 dallied I think that is false advertisement didn't go 50 miles not very happy I've rented a lot of your trucks next time I think I will look else where
JEFFERY LThe location was great, especially Marla. There was a problem with the U-Haul computer system that she had to work through. It was obvious that it was the system and not her! U-Haul action: Have back-ups that make system glitches transparent to your customers.

Colleen MThe truck needed oil and cooling fluid at the first gas stop indicating that it was not checked before it was rented to us. The UHaul representative was very helpful on several occasions, particularly when I could not get the information from UHaul directly who did not respond to my inquiries.
