Arrived at drop off location after hours. Called owner he answered drunk and said he was unable to drive out and let us inside the gate. He instructed us to just leave the trailer on the curb with no lock or way to safely secure it. The neighborhood this place is in is very uncomfortable and not safe. We did not feel comfortable leaving the trailer without uhaul knowing the situation which took 2hrs of waiting and talking. I beg anyone who reads this review stay far far away from this location and drive the extra 15mins to a better location. We hope this is helpful to anyone

so I've had the contract box trucks for my company multiple other times in the past we've usually went with Penske, and once used Ryder. Well we decided to give UHaul a try. Why not, it's good to keep your options open, in case one day we cant used Penske for some reason. Well that was the first mistake should have realized it after I called 14 different U-Haul places to no avail. Finally the last one didn't answer the phone but did call me back immediately within 3 seconds. Weird they must only answer when they feel like it right? The next sign I should have left and called Penske, was the actual location itself it looked like a prison junkyard with rusty barbed wire, trash, busted up old cars and old sheet metal everywhere, and even two rottweilers who were constantly growling and barking menacingly, as in not for attention, but wanting to get a taste of my leg. The entire place was nasty and trashy and stank like literal trash, even inside. I could tell the worker knew and was conscious of it because he seemed to try to avoid all of it and would it make eye contact until he let us back outside to a broken picnic table with only one seat which he took. However he was pretty nice, but he was the only one I can say that about. Just one example, there was a lady that showed up she seemed to be a manager or a regional team member she was extremely rude, didn't even look at us once, in referred to us multiple times as them or those people while standing no more than 5 ft away from us. This truck was rented for the company we work for, and for some reason the man just had to have it in MY name, even though I only drove it once over the month and a half we had it. We originally only needed it for a week but kept having to extend it, and on the third call to extend I spoke to someone different then the man I met who I spoke to every other time. This new person told me he was a manager and I asked if we could somehow extend it indefinitely so I didn't have to keep calling back he said we would look into it after we went ahead and extended it for the week. Well he just hung up on me after we extended it and we never figured anything out. Then halfway through the following week I received a call with someone straight up YELLING at me saying "where's my truck, where's my truck, you stole my truck!" Apparently the manager jackass didn't extend it either, he didn't do a damn thing. We got it figured out without me being arrested for stealing a truck that I don't even drive, but two weeks later on Friday I received another call, with someone saying that Jason the regional manager was threatening to call the police on me and report the truck stolen. Mind you every person I spoke to said everything was fine everything was cool there's no problems or anything. Then after a little while he called me back saying "well we can extend it, but you'll have to bring it in, do everything from the beginning, and then take it back". Yeaaa, no. I'm good. We took the truck back within 30 minutes of the first call. Fuck these guys and fuck UHaul. We've already started a new contract with Penske, whom I was telling my boss we should have went with to begin with we've used them before and it's always been great the trucks are newer their trucks are cleaner and THEY DON'T HARASS ME CALLING ME AT WORK, THREATENING TO SUE ME OR HAVE ME ARRESTED FOR A TRUCK THAT I LEGALLY CONTRACTED!!! I'LL BE DAMNED IF MY COMPANY OR I EVER USE ANOTHER U-HAUL AGAIN. And I will do my best from here on out to recommend Penske over U-Haul to anyone and everyone.

The 5x8 trailer was wore out. The ball latch was rusted and they had to spray wd40 on it and finally got it to latch. The roll up door was hard to open and close. Still had some trash inside. Pieces of Christmas tree, artificial flowers, a aa battery and 2 screws. 2 of the bottom tie downs were gone. I had to go buy zip ties just so I could secure my load. Aweful condition, not a typical Uhaul condition or experience.

The man who checked us out and then checked us back in when we brought the truck back was knowledgeable and I'd have to say that it was the quickest that we have ever been checked in and out and we have rented from U-Haul several times. He was ready he got it done and we were out of there and I was very impressed by that.

I rented a U-Haul truck and the owner misrepresented the fuel when I returned the truck. He charged me $9 for two gallons of fuel even though I returned the truck with more fuel than was in it when I picked the truck up. I took photos of the mileage and the fuel gauge when I returned the truck so U-Haul corporation (not the owner) refunded the $9. $9 is $9 but I can't do business with someone that's dishonest with no integrity.

We registered online and the cost was $58 plus $10 for insurance. When we picked up the trailer we were charged mileage which wasn't on the quote. That added up to total of $75. Been nice to have known that before hand. No problem at pick up and drop off location.

The facility is not a 24-hour business and is only open until 4 PM. Fortunately, an employee who was still at the facility after closing was willing to help me park the trailer and remove it from my ball hitch.
