DAVIDWAYNE J.The van was a new vehicle; only 4889 miles on the odometer. It was clean and seemed to be well maintained. Jeff was friendly and gave me his loading straps to secure my load during transport. Jeff was leaving early and instructed me that when I return to park the van in the same spot and place the keys and and contract in the Dropbox. I asked him if I needed to go online to complete the return and he said he would check in the vehicle in the morning. I drove 19 miles and the van performed very well. I tried to replace the fuel I used and managed to get .9 gal of fuel into the tank. I then returned the vehicle and secured it as instructed. However I saw a text this morning that indicated I would be fined if I didn't check in online when I returned the vehicle. I contacted Uhaul and advised that I took a photo of the odometer on my iPhone when I returned that would have a time stamp and Geo location data embedded in it. Martha helped me and instructed me to upload that photo to avoid the fine. Overall I'm pleased with the performance of U-Haul and Jeff who represented the brand well. The mark of a great business is not that they are perfect, but in their willingness to make corrections that “make it right†when problems occur. I'm an old retired Marine who has trusted your brand around the world. So I'm proud of you U-Haul and count you among the Great American Golden Rule Companies who uphold the moral and ethical standards of American business to always get the job done right. Brian K.The cost of my U-HAUL was over run with fees that I was not notified of in person upon my scheduled appointment, I also filled the gas tank up all the way which cost me an additional $25. I was told that there was nothing they could do about the extra fees. I was under the impression that I was only paying $19.95 for the vehicle as it stated on U-HAUL's website. I had the vehicle for just over an hour before returning the vehicle. Upon returning the vehicle I was not notified that I would be paying $91 for my U-HAUL. This is outrageous, might as well just steal from your customers! I feel bad for others that have dealt with this same issue. I will no longer be using this service.

John H.I wouldn't recommend U-Haul in general. A simple in town move with fees and fuel wound up costing over $250. Don't be fooled. You'll wind up paying more than you expected. Hire someone and pay less.

A move is already a stressful event, and u-haul added to this stress. they had my equipment in 2 separate places and wanted me to drive 40 miles between picking up equipment. it made no sense when this order was placed 2 month prior to a move.

Simon T.One of the few good parts of my Uhaul experience was the gentleman that helped me at Jag. Without notice, Uhaul changed my pickup location from Fredericksburg to Front Royal, which is 75 miles away! This significantly altered my travel plans and required me to purchase hotel rooms in Front Royal so that we could pick it up early in the morning to try and save some time. The gentleman at Jag was not responsible for the reservation fiasco, but did everything he could to try and help, including providing his personal cell phone number should there be issues at pickup. Which there was.

LAURIEDENISE H.No one was there on Sunday. When I called the main #, I was told that she could not check me in. I was having phone issues & couldn't complete the process on line.
Alessio E.The intendant knew nothing about U-Haul check in or check out. I left my print receipt there. The attendant was unable to assist me in unhooking and dropping the trailer which is very heavy and does not have a jack on the tongue of the trailer. I would not recommend this location and if I rent again I will not use this location to pick up or drop off.
Glenn W.I had to call customer service and that experience was AWFUL! The pick up and drop off locations were fine, it's the lack of customer service with your staff that left me leaving a bad review. I sat on hold for 30 minutes, kept getting transferred, hung up on and no one seemed to be able to answer my questions. It seemed as though your call center folks got pissed off at the idea of helping a customer. Very poor!
